Between Control and Passion

Episode 1

"Thailor, Mr. Dimitrei will return from Europe tomorrow," said Mr. John, head of the finance department, in a serious tone while reviewing some papers on his desk. "You must prepare all his documents because there will be an important meeting tomorrow morning, and our report cannot have any errors."

"Alright, sir, I have everything ready," Thailor replied confidently, giving a small smile. His calm and assured voice contrasted with his discreet appearance, but behind his composure, there was an agile and analytical mind.

Mr. John, a middle-aged man with gray hairs scattered through his dark hair, watched him with a slight smile, satisfied with his efficiency.

"Good," he replied, relaxing his shoulders. "I hope you enjoy working here, despite the high pressure. I don't know what I would do without you, Thailor."

"I will always enjoy working here, sir... because of the good salary," Thailor replied sincerely, provoking a soft laugh from John. The boss leaned against his desk, amused.

"You're right, no other place can compete with this company's salary, Thailor. Be grateful for that," he said, with a paternalistic smile.

Thailor nodded, maintaining his composure. Although his relationship with John was cordial, Thailor always maintained a certain professional distance.

"You haven't met Mr. Dimitrei yet, have you?" John continued, his tone shifting to a more cautious one. "My advice is not to show nervousness in front of him. He is a very intimidating alpha. He doesn't like indecisive or unfirm people, so tomorrow you will have to face him if he bombards you with many questions."

Thailor nodded, his mind processing the information. He had read a lot about Dimitrei, but he had never seen him in person.

"Alright, sir," Thailor replied, with calculated calm. "I read some articles about him, although I don't know what his face looks like. He must be a very intimidating person."

"Yes, he is dangerous for everyone, especially for omegas like you," John added, with a meaningful smile on his face. "Be careful."

Thailor maintained his smile, although his gaze hardened briefly. He knew that John didn't mean it with bad intentions, but those comments about omegas always irritated him slightly. However, he didn't let it show.

"I will keep that in mind, sir," he finally replied.

Concluding the conversation, Thailor gathered his belongings and said goodbye with a respectful nod. He walked through the company corridors, as the office lights began to turn off, and finally went out into the fresh city air.

He returned to his small apartment. The place, although modest, was comfortable and functional. He rented in one of the most expensive areas of the city, but maintained an austere lifestyle to save as much as possible. The walls were decorated simply, without extravagance, only what was necessary to feel at home. Despite the difficulties, Thailor had managed to amass a considerable savings account, which gave him some peace of mind in case of an emergency.

....................................

In his daily life, Thailor remained reserved. His clothing choices were not casual; he always opted for clothes that didn't attract too much attention. His brown hair, although thick and shiny, he always kept short and well-combed back, something that helped him go unnoticed among his colleagues.

"Thailor, always so discreet," one of his coworkers had once told him.

But for Thailor, discretion was not just a matter of appearance, but a strategy. He knew perfectly well how to handle himself in a competitive environment, especially being an omega surrounded by alphas. He opted for plain shirts and long shorts that came down below the knees, far from the formal and structured style that dominated the office. He didn't want to attract gazes or unnecessary comments.

However, behind that reserved appearance, there was a brilliant mind. Thailor was an exceptional financial analyst, capable of identifying patterns that others overlooked. His ability to decipher complex numbers and figures had made him an invaluable resource for the company. No matter how much he tried to go unnoticed, his intelligence made him stand out.

Despite his success, Thailor had a complicated family history that always kept him on the sidelines. His father, who had died a few years ago, had left him completely out of his will. Being the son of his father's second partner, the first wife, although she had no children of her own, had ensured that Thailor did not have access to any of the family's assets.

This rejection had left him in a vulnerable position. Without family support, he was forced to rely solely on his ability to work, which drove him to be exceptional in his career. Although he didn't show it, that family wound marked him deeply, being a constant motivation to ensure a future where he didn't depend on anyone else.

Therefore, every day in the office, Thailor worked tirelessly, maintaining his focus on securing his place in that gigantic company, while the rest saw an omega who simply did his job, without knowing the story of struggle and perseverance he carried behind.

Episode 2

A charismatic man sat alone in an exclusive nightclub, the dim lights casting shadows on his face. Guarded by two bodyguards, his presence commanded respect. He was Dimitrei Uvarov, a dominant alpha who, at 35, had built an empire of his own, far from the shadow of his adoptive family. His strong and elegant figure stood out in the darkness of the club, as he observed the atmosphere with a calculating expression.

Despite his success as a businessman, his family history was always present. Dimitrei was the adoptive son of Dom Petrov, one of the most powerful mafiosi in Russia. Despite the family connection, Dimitrei had distanced himself from the criminal world to build his own path. His decision to leave the mafia was a direct challenge to Dom, who, although he did not fully approve, offered him a small investment.

That first sum, which for many would be insignificant, was the starting point for Dimitrei. For 15 years, he turned that capital into an impressive fortune, forging his path in the business world with cunning and determination. Although he was grateful for the support of his adoptive father, he had built his success without relying on Dom's criminal empire.

That night, sitting in the club, Dimitrei was immersed in his thoughts, remembering a 'recent' conversation that had left him uneasy.

......................................

One Month Ago...

"You must get married, Dimitrei." Dom's grave voice resonated in the office, as his penetrating gaze watched his adoptive son. "You have to ensure that everything you have accumulated is inherited someday. You are 35 years old, son. You don't want to end up like me, without an heir."

Dimitrei, sitting in front of him, maintained his composure. He knew Dom was right, but he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the pressure.

"But you are always surrounded by people, uncle," Dimitrei replied, using the affectionate term with which he always referred to Dom.

Dom let out a deep laugh, full of irony.

"They are just waiting for my death, Dimi." Dimitrei noticed the tiredness in his adoptive father's voice. "They don't care about me. They only want my assets." He paused, his expression turned serious. "Listen, I will be the one who chooses your partner. I can help you find someone suitable."

"Your choice has always been horrible, uncle," Dimitrei replied, without ceasing to look at him. "Look at those around you, none are genuine. They are only there for sex and money."

Dom laughed again, although with less enthusiasm.

......................................

Last night...

Dimitrei had received alarming news: Dom's health was getting worse. With that news, came also the increasing insistence of his adoptive father that he pair up. Dimitrei knew that, although Dom wanted the best for him, the pressure to form a union was not something he liked. He did not want to rush into a relationship just to meet the expectations of others.

Dimitrei loved Dom deeply, he considered him his true father, but he did not want his personal life to be dictated by someone else's insistence. He knew he had to do something to calm Dom's worries, who, in addition to being ill, saw the lack of an heir as an additional burden.

It was then that Dimitrei had an idea. While he did not want to form a real union, he could find an omega that he could present to Dom as a temporary partner, someone who could play the role and alleviate his father's concerns. Although he did not want a fake relationship, he understood that, for Dom's sake, he had to do something.

During the last week, Dimitrei had evaluated ten omegas, all potential candidates. However, none met his expectations. They were pretty faces, but lacked the depth that Dimitrei sought. He knew that Dom, with his experience and insight, would not be fooled by a simple facade.

Hiring an omega just to play a role was easy, but Dom would see through any deception. Dimitrei needed someone who was not only physically attractive, but also impressed Dom with his intellect and personality.

With each passing day, the pressure increased. Dimitrei knew that time was running out. But he would not allow desperation to guide him; he would find the right omega, one who could not only play a perfect relationship, but also be strong and astute enough to stand by his side in this complicated game.

Dimitrei squeezed the glass in his hand, watching the club's lights reflect in the glass. He knew that what was coming would not be easy, but he was used to challenges. And this time, it would be no different.

Episode 3

Dimitrei Uvarov, a man whose imposing presence radiated power, walked with a determined step through the vast lobby of the company. His distinguished bearing, accompanied by a natural elegance, captured everyone's attention. Although he was the CEO, Dimitrei rarely visited the New York headquarters, preferring to operate from his homeland, Russia. However, this occasion was different. A meeting of vital importance had brought him back.

As he crossed the doors of the imposing building, the atmosphere tensed immediately. All eyes were on him, admiring the confidence with which he walked. His authority was palpable, and those who knew him knew that he was the type of alpha who did not tolerate mistakes. His reputation preceded his arrival, and that day, all the senior executives waited anxiously for what was to come.

Thailor, a reserved omega who worked in the finance department, was at the back of the group of division heads who were waiting for him. When he saw Dimitrei, his heart began to beat faster. It was the first time he had seen him in person, and although he had heard stories about his intimidating presence, facing it in reality was something completely different.

Trying to remain calm, Thailor inclined his head in respect, imitating his colleagues. He knew that any mistake could cost him dearly, so he followed the instructions of his immediate superior with total concentration.

Each step of Dimitrei made Thailor's nervousness increase. He had heard about how employees felt unbearable pressure when they were near the CEO, and now he understood it perfectly. The energy that Dimitrei emanated was almost tangible, a mixture of charisma and power that dominated the space.

When he reached the group, the division heads greeted him respectfully. That day was not like any other, they knew that Dimitrei was there to make crucial decisions, and each of them was prepared to support him without hesitation.

Without wasting time, Dimitrei headed towards the elevators, ready to go up to the tenth floor, where the main meeting room was located. The senior executives, including key figures of the company, followed him in silence. Among them was Thailor, who had no other option but to accompany them, since his boss had ordered him to be available for any requirement.

The elevator was charged with tension. No one dared to speak, and Dimitrei, known for his reserved character, did not break the silence. Thailor remained still, not daring to look up.

Upon reaching the tenth floor, the doors opened with a soft "ding", and Dimitrei came out first. His firm and determined step marked the pace of the group that followed him closely. However, suddenly, Dimitrei stopped abruptly, and in his distraction, Thailor, who was walking right behind, could not react in time.

He crashed directly into the alpha's back.

Time seemed to stop for Thailor, who cursed inwardly. He knew that this first meeting with the CEO was not going in the best way. His breathing quickened, trying to calm down before things got out of control.

Dimitrei turned slowly. His sharp gaze rested on Thailor, who, with his head still down, tried to avoid any eye contact.

"I'm sorry, sir," Thailor apologized, with a controlled but nervous voice. He knew that Dimitrei did not tolerate disrespect, so, remembering the protocol, he quickly looked up to meet the alpha's piercing eyes.

The silence was deafening. No one dared to move while the CEO observed the omega. Dimitrei looked at him unhurriedly, as if he were evaluating every detail of the situation.

"What's your name?" Dimitrei asked, with that deep and authoritative voice that resonated like an order. His tone had the weight of someone accustomed to giving instructions without reply.

Thailor felt a chill run down his back. His heart was pounding, but he made an effort to maintain composure, facing the intense gaze of his boss.

"My name is Thailor, Mr. Uvarov. I work in the finance department," he replied with a mixture of security and respect. Although internally nervousness consumed him, he knew that any sign of weakness in front of Dimitrei would not be well received.

Silence reigned again. No one in the room dared to interrupt the tense exchange between them.

Suddenly, Dimitrei took a step closer to Thailor. The omega held his breath as the alpha leaned slightly towards him, his lips dangerously close to his ear.

"I like your scent," Dimitrei whispered, his voice low but loaded with an intensity that made Thailor's body tense. The unexpected comment took him completely by surprise. His heart was racing, and the anxiety he felt became a mixture of surprise and bewilderment.

Thailor tried to control his breathing as he felt the heat rising up his neck. He had not expected that his first meeting with the CEO would take such an unexpected turn.

Dimitrei straightened up slowly, moving away from the omega, and without saying another word, he continued his way to the meeting room.

The division head, John, noticed Thailor's state of shock and touched his arm gently, indicating that he should follow Dimitrei. Still stunned, Thailor followed him, trying to process what had just happened as they entered the conference room together.
