There was an eerie silence around the living room after John broke the news to Maria about his decision.

Maria couldn't believe what she was hearing from the man she had loved with her all for the last 7 years of her life. She loved John from the time he proposed to her in college, been by his side through thick and thin when he had nothing till he was able to build a small business with the ideas she gave him during the start-up.

Having been only married for a year to her love, he asks for a divorce because the woman he now claims to love is pregnant and his unborn child cannot be born outside marriage.

" Hh how, how did this happen. What happened to us. After everything, I have done for you, you want to break our family for someone who never noticed when you were nothing", Maria asked him, hoping he will remember everything they have been through together, but it all fell on deaf ears.

John coldly stared at Maria like she was his worst enemy, for her, a woman of beneath him to remind of how she was the brains behind his business. He sneered and told her" You had better sign the papers if you don't want to see my bad side". He walked out after saying those things to her.

Maria broke down on the couch crying with her head bowed down, reminiscing about all years they spent together, the ups and downs, sacrificing her dreams to help his company grow, investing her inheritance from her late grandmother into his dreams, the love they shared.

"Love", she scoffs, "I thought he even loved me, maybe it was all pretence to get my devotion, loyalty and commitment".

Maria cried her heart out all night until she slept. Maria woke up with a headache and went to the washroom to freshen up, after coming out of the washroom she realized her husband did not come back home last night.

Fresh tears run down her cheeks, but she wipes them off and a new determination and the thought that her marriage could be restored, she prayed a silent prayer to God that maybe, her husband would want to reconcile again with her.

But unfortunately for her, she was about to fall into the deepest abyss.

After preparing her husband favorite meal, Maria dresses up beautifully. And she drives to his company in her car. On her way, she decides to forgive him and accept his illegitimate child as her own.

Maria happily alight from her car and heads to the private elevator to his office with the lunchbox.

As she is about to knock on the door, she hears voices from inside which causes her to become petrified and shake her head several times as she couldn't believe what she was hearing from the people talking inside the office.

John looked at the lady who walked seductive towards his desk and his lips formed a smile that Maria would say she has never seen before from the time they dated and the time they got married till now.

"Our baby missed you dearly, I hope you didn't forget that we are going for the antenatal check-up tomorrow", Elise coquettishly said.

" Don't worry baby, how can I forget something this important," John said, pulling her into his laps and kissing her like there is no tomorrow. Elise broke the kiss and asked the one question that has been tormenting her from the time she saw how happy her sister was in her man's arms.

Yes, her man, the man that belonged to her years ago but for the sake of the wealthy future she dreamt of, she happily sacrificed their love for all those damn years. Now, she was going to take what rightfully belongs to her.

Elise thought to herself, "I have to ruin my beautiful body figure with this disgusting piece of s**t, oh, well thanks to this thing I can finally take my rightful place as Mrs. Black, the mistress of the Black family, the first lady of Black Corp. and rule beside John as his true queen and lover.

"How did the divorce go? Are you finally free from that disgustingly stupid and controlling woman", Elise asked John while he was caressing and worshiping her body. " It's almost done, all we need is her signature, and then we could live our lives to the fullest, free from that ugly thing. Just looking at her gives me the creeps, Ugh, John replied Elise, mocking Maria as if he had never built a life with her in the past.
