Brilliant orange flames brightened up my Castle fools who considered I would destroy their foundation built by their oh-so-precious Heroes I stood at the door with a cup of tea unfazed by the situation I was in. My reddish pink hair flowed in the winds of the once cold night my eyes hollow red and would usually fill anyone with a sense of uneasiness but this was not one of those times. The mob got closer, and the flames illuminated me fully showing my brown complexion the leader of this futile effort to take me down moved through the crowd wearing a cloak around his head with jade armor and spoke like he had all the power in this situation.

"Kira surrender your title as lord or be killed right here and now!"

he pulled out a Warhammer to show he meant business I wasn't going to waste my effort so I tried to give them my best ultimatum.

"... I'll give you 10 seconds to turn back and run before I take you and your pathetic militia out this continent was never meant to be ruled by you and your Heroes this is only my first step in my revolution and you all should know by now..."

I pulled out my battle knives.

POV CHANGE

it was the middle of the afternoon in a village built not far from a beach where 5 boats were out at sea fishing a task being done by some kids 12 and up with some partners to help them. There was one boat that was the farthest out where 2 of them were playing their part and conversing.

"so Kira what do you plan on doing I mean tomorrow is the day we get our cores unlocked and can officially enter the many academies opened by the great Heroes who eradicated the demon armies and took over the entire continent south of here"

"Kaiya you know I'm not going to do that I snuck into the libraries and pick-pocketed passing rich folks since I'm going to do something far more ambitious than become a scholar"

"That's a real tall tale Kira we both know they got better places at their rich safe areas"

Kira felt a snag on her rod and yanked it pulling up a big fish and tossing it in a container of water.

"Plus because of what I am the masters will half-ass my training and probably paint a target on my back saying something like kill the half-bred scum or something like that"

the 2 grabbed some rows and started rowing back to shore.

"wait I'm pretty sure it's also the once a year hostings from one of the Fingers"

"oh you mean the weakest of the hero guards the guys they send to take care of events not worth their time"

"yes them though they only fucked up one time in history"

"That's a very fair point though I thought the bad people were the only ones who sent people to do things not worth their time another similarity"

the 2 made it to the shore Kira grabbed the container and carried it putting it next to a stack of five other containers. A woman dressed in a suit walked up and patted their shoulders

"once again Kira and Kaiya you do your tasks well"

"that's only cause I'm incapable of just tearing the place down and running off lady Agatha"

"I see you still spouting wild things I thought Kate and Ainz tried to change that"

"pfft...wait you really said Ainz the same guy who tried to illegally rob the last event for those core awakening instructions hahaha I didn't know you were trying to switch your careers"

"And you're still smart just go back to the orphanage I'll call the others myself"

"yes ma'am sorry for my sis over here"

"wait what did you ca- woah ok"

Kaiya grabbed Kira's hand and tried to drag her to the orphanage before she said anything more foul.

"You know I'm really inspired by your will Kira but you tend to not know what a line is like that one time you killed one of your caretakers in their sleep cause they were going to sell you to a slave trader"

"hey there wasn't a line after that I had to make him a memory so he wouldn't try that on anyone else like you know those stories of how they treat demi-humans especially what they do to you if your not useful enough I wasn't willing to know what a part of hell looked like"

"that makes a lot of sense however you took it to an extreme"

"pfft that's some soft words all I did was stab him 10 times from the chest down and cut his face open that's not even the worst thing I felt like doing to him plus seeing his expression after I told him what I was going to do to him was the best part"

"...I don't think you doing planning to rule anything  will be the best for the world"

"hahahaha that's why you'll be by my side right? Who else can handle the nice public stuff"

Kaiya looked away blushing taking that last exchange for a different meaning as they walked through the one-way road of their home.

along the shore of the sea a kid at the age of 12 was scooped the coast for his personal hobby of late night seashell hunting having 6 in a medium sized sack his brown hair was a bit roughed up but the rest of him looked pretty clean everything he was dressed in the standard orphan get up but he was wearing a lined shirt and pants that were green and yellow. Everything seemed fine for him but then there was the sound of music that has some sort of hypnotic effect that made him walk into the sea as a figure jumped out and blood splashed along the beach.

_______early morning at the orphanage_______

Kira was sitting on the porch with a man dressed in fine black and gold robes he looked pretty young and had a pack holding a monster of a book his hair was emerald green and his eyes were white and he had a fair complexion this man was Ainz the local prodigy age 22.

"So Kira I was told the slander you said about me to Agatha and I don't appreciate my buttercup being so mean"

Ainz said in a dramatic tone though that only got him a glare from Kira.

"your lucky your the strongest one here otherwise I wouldn't allow you to call me that"

"of course I am I mean I'm such an important security asset they can't even keep me in a cell for a day...so today is your big day where you'll get 2 of many affinities and 1 unique affinity and a spirit weapon but don't get a big head afterwards there are drawbacks to every magic and unique skill as far as history goes"

"relax old man I'm not stupid enough to let much of anything go to my head"

"oh really cause In that caretaker fiasco the ones who busted in to see what was all the screaming about said and I quote "that we walked into a madhouse" and because of that those people had to go to therapy to recover your a fucking psycho who would've been hanged anywhere else but luckily we uncovered the man's dark doings"

"ok yeah I wasn't really acting as cool as I usually am but I was thirsty and there were no animals nearby and I wasn't given what I need for 2 days so of course I wasn't acting in my right mind"

Ainz gave her the most stone faced look before pulling out a book titled "how I killed a scumbag".

"your usually a great liar but you know I'm one of the phew people that goes out of their way to see through your crap right?"

"... I'll never apologize"

"you see this is why I'm the master and you and Kaiya the student"

He looked at his watch and his eyes widened.

"oh we only got an hour until they arrive get ready I'll go wake everyone else"

Ainz ran into the orphanage and alot of loud banging was heard as he woke everyone up in the most dramatic way. There were around 56 orphans in the place due to an uprising in the capital to overthrow the current rulers but instead of swiftly crushing the uprising or being diplomatic because of the size of an army the Heroes could call up every soldier from the coast was called while the heroes were toying with a literal army until they arrived and it was the closest rebellion in history which meant that alot more people died.

Everyone except Kira was brought back to a series of bath tub made of iron which were dumped and cleaned after each use.

"you know thi is probably going to be the last time for most of them to be here Kate so mabe you should write a one of those speeches but with a bit more life in it"

"I do it's just our leader has been depressed for years and is always one step away from stepping down but he doesn't find you trustworthy enough due to your past record"

"I didn't know I was going to be judged by my wife too why'd I even bother to come back to this negativity"

"Ainz no one is stopping you from being in charge just talk to him and he might let you be in charge for a month as a test at least"

"hm yes but running a town is way different from running a band of rogues"

Kate walked off the porch and loudly cleared her throat.

a few groans of apprehension were heard before everyone grabbed their towels.

2 carriages pulled into the village square as 8 people got off 4 of them carrying black metal boxes one of them having something bright blue inside that shined through a bit. Among the 8 two stood out stepping out the guy in front was dressed in priest-like robes but they were sapphire blue and there was a names sewed nearly say "Arcane Custer" and he held a metal bow staff with arcane carvings and black shoes his hair was a dark red and eyes as orange as fire with a fair complexion. The second Guy was dressed in grand looking attire a green coat with many pockets that had round objects inside the cost was a bright green that was a bit reflective by the candled light and had some short black boots and pants and a long blade on his back his eyes bright yellow and hair the color onyx.

"I cannot believe this place was this far out but then again I don't come that far from the capital that often"

"that's because your too conferable there you should explore all the land that you are apart of at least once"

"ha yeah maybe when I'm retired Adrian but that's not going to happen as long as there are verman who continue to do unlawful deeds"

"tut the mighty warrior mage demotes himself to the capital's watch dog that's quite a fall from grace"

The man appeared dressed in grey shirt and a dark blue button jacket with the top having buttons connected by three tiny ropes the sleeves have white ruffles and he was wearing dark blue pants and brown shoes. His eyes were a bright blue that seemed to have a slight glow despite the sun being out though the bags under them gave the impression he wasn't sleeping or was stressed and he was a bit pale and bits of his blonde hair had turned white which looked like a streak.

"hello-sir Adrian and... Arcane I have the place along the cliff side though a incident did occur last night but I told whoever discovered it to keep quiet until we finished...the event today"

"Sounds like you were up all night for it we can help after the fact if you will allow... what's your name again"

the man wiped his eyes before looking at the 2 with a more stoic look than the tired one he had a moment ago.

"I'll refrain from saying something unworthy sir Arcane I'm the man in charge the cheif of Bellows Edge Village my name is Paine..Avens now follow me if you will"

Paine turned walking down the main path with everyone else following but as they were walking Adrian put his hand in his pocket touching a concealed sphere object as it let out a light purple mist contained in the pocket.

under the ocean near the beach a ton of glowing eyes opened from many figures under the sea floating in the same position as if waiting for a signal.
