The Lady At the Coffee Shop
Ep1
It was regular Monday morning
The cafe had just opened and my shift had just begin
And as usually around 10am I heard the ding at the door and there she was
Slim and short with long black hair and dark brown eyes
Her eyes weren’t very full of life and she was always looking down when she came in
Almost as if she was avoiding any type of interaction with anyone
For that reason I never spoke to her
My name is Dom I’m 24 years old and I work at a coffee shop
There’s not much to my life I go to work and I go home
Maybe that is why I am so interested in this one individual

A hot coffee with 4 creams 4 sugars and hazelnut??

You order the same thing every day *chuckles*

Is it weird that I’ve memorized her card information.. and I know her government name from glancing at her card everytime she swipes to pay

She sits in the corner of the cafe reading a book
I pay so much attention to her that I realize when she’s finished reading a book and comes in with a new one to read
No no.. I’m just very observant of her that’s it!
And yet I can tell she hates my guts
She’s probably caught me staring and has grown annoyed by me
Ouch! No thank you either she took a sip and continued reading her book
I’d be happy if she told me she was happy with the way I make her coffee every morning
I watch her as she slides her hair behind her ears for a better view of her book
I could swear that I’ve never seen anyone like her
I admire her from afar almost every morning
I never have the guts to speak to her

Before I knew it time had gone by and more costumers had came in
After taking so many orders
I looked up to see she had already finished her coffee and left
But I’m not even a little sad

that day after my shift had finally ended I headed home
same old same old come home don’t say hi or how was your morning because live alone
Walk in and go right up the stairs to my room and open my laptop
Yea… it may sound weird coming from a guy that looks like me
But hey I like what I like
And that happens to be reading romance books online
I have a particular artist that u enjoy reading everyday
It’s about this guy name mike who’s in love with this girl that works at the register of this bookstore
He goes to the bookstore every day to read books and also because she’s there
In this book just really gets me
He’s admiring this girls but is too scared to speak to her
I close my laptop and lay my head down

I open my phone and scroll through my instagram feed
I scroll onto a post with the words “me after successfully bagging my dream girl”
I click onto his page out of curiosity

I continue to scroll going deeper into his page
one post was captioned “ what’s the worst she could say besides no.. a little rejection ain’t nothing”

The next morning on my way to work
I know what I’ll say to her
I’ll walk over to hand her her coffee
Then I’ll strike up a conversation with her
Which should end with me getting her socials or something
I open up the shop to begin my shift
I watch the clock for 9:55 so by 10am I can pay attention to her walking into the door

Let me guess you thought I was that hottie that comes in every morning

I turned around there she was.. right in front of me!!!
Jenny’s blabbing distracted me
10 had flew by and before I knew it she had already came in and had heard jenny call me a stalker
She looked me up and down before responding
Still trying to process what had just happened her response flew right over my head
I look down out of embarrassment as she pays and the takes a seat
I walk to the back kitchen to catch myself
Are u seriously embarrassing yourself right now

You need to go take that girl her order

Well… maybe I seen her coming and said if anyway on purpose
Jenny handed me the coffee to go give to her
Fuck I don’t have a choice but the face her after what she had just seen
I tried not to make eye contact but I could feel her beautiful eyes staring up at me with concern
She thanked me this time!

But who knows maybe she would’ve like me if I came with a better approach
And right after finishing her coffee she took her leave
