Prologue

The thought of being alive once crossed my mind. But right after, it vanished....

Being in the Border for almost 12 years is also being dead....no one knows whether later or tomorrow you will die,in a tragic or a peaceful way....

In the Border there's no sufficient amount of foods, people are starving and many kids are dying because of a disease. So every hope i have disappeared not long ago.....

"The war broke out!!!! Belligerent! Fight for this country's sake!!!

  Sfx: Shouting, distress, Hopeless mourning

"Please.....save us.....

Sfx:Sword Clanking, people dying

"Please......let me live.....

    Those words.....are pitiful.....words like 'Alive' here in the Border means,Hoping for something impossible.... because when a war broke out,no lives are spared.

"Let me live.....

Lei: Acckk!!!*gasp*.......huff....huff......(those words again....)

Rio: Oh? Sir Lei? what's wrong?

Lei:Oh.....Sir Rio... it's nothing.... what's going on outside? 

Rio:Oh!...the Command 'n General and the Silver Knights are here to train us so the whole Hera Estate(Where Knights train and lived) is in chaos!!

Lei:Oh.....*peek* (...💧I don't think I can get out of my room for the meantime...)

   Im Elliana Rose.....im 16 years old,a lady, I lived in the Border for 12 years without the hope of staying alive. For the first time in my life, I beg so much.... I beg that someone would come and save me.... someone who would extend their hands to someone like me.....

Lei:.....hic...... please......let me see that person.....let me meet him.... please.... someone...hic......sob...... Please let me....see him.....

In the course of fainting... someone's voice faintly reached my ears...he rescued me from that place and all the people who wants to live. He is Liviscian Rostell Dellian,the one who reach out to me. He is the General Commander of Silver Knights,and the husband of The National Hero Alexandria Vischane Dellian. They are the strongest couple in the world,but an accident occurred where they both lose hope....thats when their only daughter Liassiana Adelle Dellian,went missing. Its almost 11 years since Adelle went missing,and the couple assumed that their daughter is already dead,for 11 years of non-stop finding her whereabouts they lose hope everytime. But when the General saw my hair and my eyes,he cried and took me to his house. That's where i met the beautiful National Hero,Mrs.Alexandria ...there i found out that my hair and my eyes looks like Adelle,but i insisted that Adelle is not me...after some time,i registered my name to be a Knight because that way i can repay their kindness. In Vancria, Knights are common... Men's are born to be Knights so knights are everywhere. But Knights are only given to male not to Female. In this land, Female's are weak and useless,even though their Hero is a woman, their discrimination didn't disappear. I need to be a knight for many reasons... but two of those are - one,i need to pay my heroes kindness,and second to protect the one who is in need. I suffer from loss and from pain,i know that many people suffer much more so i want to end it, and be of help. Disguising as a Male namely Lei Belligerent and oathed to protect the people who needs my protection.

I'm sure I'll pass the qualifications....but....the training will be held soon....anyway....i need to find a part time job before the training starts....it will be held after two months...so.......a maid can be?....mm.....but if i do....what if they recognize me after i became a knight?that would be a problem....mmmm......a butler maybe?*bump*oh,Sorry!!

Lei:(thought so!!this guy is fraud!!.....)ummm....what offer?

Kyle:Just accompany me..... I don't know what they call it....but...i think its... friend....

Lei:(its clear he's a fraud.....).....

Lei:*flinch*(2-20 golds?....its sufficient enough for 6 months salary!....but that would make it very suspicious.....im not that stupid to believe those frauds....)......

Kyle:hay....did you think im a fraud?

Lei:*jolt*(how did he know?....maybe its very obvious....)Yes....no such man who would fine his 6 months salary just to be accompanied....those people are crazy enough to spend their money and not thinking about other people starving and struggling to survive.

Kyle:*stare*.......pfft!!!.....hahaha.....you got a point....then how about i donate your pay to the orphanage?

Lei:*hesitate*......(it seems that he's tempting me.....but.....its impossible to get 20 G for just a week.......i need to find an apartment....and pay my rent.....then.....)Hay.....okay I'll accept your offer.....but you need to pay me 20 G or else....

Kyle:Okay i got it..... here's the half... I'll give you the other half when the sun sets.

Lei:(wow.....)o-okay....

   I don't know what trouble i got in....but....i didn't expect to be like this....

Lei:*Drooling*(no!!.....its tempting me!!.....)

Kyle:hmm.....Ill have an instant coffee.... no sugar please....

Lei:(this aroma.....the creamy feeling....coffee......)......ahem.....maybe i should sit down there...

Kyle:Wait....pick your coffee first.

Lei:...?huh?am i allowed to?

Kyle:Yes, your accompanying me so,you should eat with me....

Lei:really?*sparkle*then ill have Creamy Latte!!

Kyle: Let's order Dark Chocolate Cake.....are you okay with that?its little bitter though...

Lei: Anything is fine....(its incomparable to molded bread we belligerent eat at the Border)

Kyle:i didn't expect that you are obsessed with coffee....

Lei:Of course!!....its my everyday companion....in my homeland this is our everyday meal....though sometimes.....we have milk and other stuff.....

Kyle:hmm.....oh right,i didn't introduce myself yet....Im Kyle Villin....

Lei:Oh...im Lei Belligerent.....nice to meet you.

Kyle: maybe you find me odd because i asked you to be my friend for today.....

Lei:.....you have your reasons....i too would have done that if i need companion.....even for a day...but as i said earlier.... there are people who needs money to survive....if i lavishly spend my money.... what would i feel?....i would feel guilty, of course!

Kyle:You got a point....but my reason is simple.....im just bored....and exhausted....so i need someone to accompany me....

Lei:(his reason is a bit of annoying but.... reasons also have reasons behind.....).....Then,since ill be your friend for today...let me know a little detail about you...

Kyle:... that's the first time someone ask about me.....

Lei:.....im the first one?oh my,what an honor.....its my first time to ask about someone too! You see,in my homeland,no one dares to ask about someone....its equivalent to treason*,but as for me,i can ask them all about their lives....but i don't spare any time about something so wasteful...(cause i know,its worthless.... because later or tomorrow...they will definitely die....)

[AN: What she mean was,in the Border there is a rule which forbid a person to ask for others identity especially to a Belligerent. If they do,its a treason.Except for a Belligerent, they can ask other's identity....cause in the Border,they're superiors. ]

Kyle:...hmmm.....then.....im just an ordinary 17 years old... I don't have siblings....and....a mother....but I have a father who cares and loves me......

Lei:oh....sorry i can't relate to you much..... I have a Family....even if we're not blood related....we care for each other....so basically.... I have many siblings and many father and mother......though.....its not what kind of relationship you could think of......

Kyle:Hmm.... I understand...... Its like a title without a role......calling them family but not showing love like a real family members.....

Lei:A little....though what you said is true.....ahh...I can't explain it.....

Kyle:Its alright.....

Lei: then......What's your favorite color?

Kyle:Hmm....Black

Lei:Really?Mine too. I love black roses very much....

Kyle: Me too......hmm.... what's your favorite food?

Lei: Hmm....i love Chocolate Cake....Tarts....and Gelato....but what i loved the most is Coffee....

Kyle:For me....i like bitter things.....

Lei:Haha....i get it.... we're completely opposite in taste....i like creamy and bittersweet things.....how about animals?

Kyle:Dogs.....

Lei:Cats.....

Kyle: place?

Lei: Bright places

Kyle: Dark Places...

Lei:.......maybe i should stop asking.... we're completely opposite.....

Kyle:.....but atleast we know we're both fond of black roses

Lei:Its because....when i was Seven,a boy gave me a black rose...it was a distressful time,so when that boy gave me that rose....i acquired courage to face tomorrow....

Kyle:What does he look like?

Lei:.....A Black haired boy with red eyes....

Kyle:oh...?....hmmm......your hair is pretty....

Lei:(that came out of nowhere....)... r-really?.....i have a common brown hair though...

Kyle: it's still pretty....plus your silver eyes......its pretty....*smile*

Lei:O~kay?....(he smiled.....it gives me creeps.....)

Kyle:....you treat your hair poorly.... there's damage on it.....

Lei:....mm....(we will never see each other again so...maybe ill talk about a little?).....you see.....as my name....im a Belligerent.....Lei is my Bestowed name* and my title is Belligerent.... So Lei Belligerent

[AN: Bestowed name- in the Border,these are the names given when you became a Belligerent. Belligerents are higher rank officers in the Border.

AN:Belligerent means people who are forced to fight....they're like rebels but they don't choose their own path. So I can say,they're like heroes under the mask....that's the perfect definition for the Bordernians]

Kyle:Ah-huh...

Lei:....we lived on the Border, fighting non-stop....we have no time caring and treating ourselves.....and my hair proves what i have gone through.....

Kyle: Aren't...... Bordernians hides their information?

Lei: Yup...but because we're a "Only a day Friends" i decided to tell you.....its not that we must hide the fact that we are belligerent and we lived in the Border.....its just......other belligerent are ashamed of being one. Because being a belligerent is like living a hopeless life....

Kyle: What about you? Are you proud being a Belligerent or you hate it?

Lei:Im not one of them.....I'm not ashamed of who I am, it's just that being proud and ashamed are completely different things.....also if shame cross my mind...that would only be for lavishly spending my riches to useless things.....also....its not that I hate the Border or being a Belligerent..... Its just.....living a hopeless life.....what would one feel?

Kyle: You really are an interesting one.....

Lei: Fell in love with me?......you better not!

Kyle:And why?

Lei:........ because if you meddle in my life.... you'll only find nightmares in me......

Kyle:Well.... I don't care...... nightmares are afraid of me.....

Lei:....he....he...he...(is he insane....weird.....)it gives me creeps....... anyway......the sun is starting to set......

    Its been 2 months since that day....the examination results are coming today....i prepared many things like clothes,and stuff......i also cut my hair so that i look like a male. A lot of things happened in 2 months but its worth the wait...

   Its a difficult training for the others but for me.... Border is much more.....100 laps a day,100 pushups and sparring....

Lei:*sweat*huff.....(this is more exhausting than i thought......its like combination of 2 wars in the Border...... anyhow......Border wars are combination of 10 wars each week!!!....).....

Cas:Sir Lei!!...... remember i promised you that i will introduce you to my Cousin? he's here!

Lei:.....i have to survive....i need money,also i need to keep my oath....

   Those encounters are quite fun...also unexpected..... because Kyle is the only one who knows my real gender,as a lady.....,i became close to him..... he's a good Commander and he really is kind....he always buy me sweets and especially coffee..... that's a little too favorable though.....his reason?..... remember the day we first met? when i joke about him falling for me?....i never thought that he's serious..... though I can't stop him from favoring me....i just can't.....its impossible....if i tried to stop him from giving me a lot of things.....he will make another thing that is dangerous for my situation....like gossiping about a Female Knight....but anyhow.....we are close...and that closeness drove me into a harder position......

Kyle:......You seem tired.....

Lei:A little.... Border is much harder than this.....

Kyle:Maybe.....want some gelato?

Lei:Im fine.....you don't have to buy me things when you don't need to

Kyle:Fine.....but Coffee isn't that much to turn down, right?

    Those two are a burden to lift.....Caspian always came running calling my name,like a longing friend. Then here comes Kyle who always disturb me from my work....the thing is,many Knights are jealous of me.....like "He's close with the Commander and the Second Lieutenant!"..... that's a bother.....as for my experience,this gossips can cause hatred and i will be in danger......

Lei:😒😒like i said,im not!

Heinz:Hey, don't you dare lie to us! we always saw you with the Commander..... your close with him.....what relationship do you have?!

Lei:Im his Junior and he's my Senior

Lei:(this is getting a little troublesome......).......
