Once upon a time, there was a large, strong tree standing in the middle of the forest. Its branches stretched far and its leaves shone in the sunlight.
One night, a small star came to the tree and said, "Oh Tree, may I live among your branches?"
The tree smiled and said, "Of course, little star, you can live here among my leaves and branches."
Days passed, and the star lived in the tree, lighting up its dark nights. Over time, the star began to notice that the tree seemed sad.
The star asked, "Why are you sad, Tree?"
The tree replied softly, "I know I will not live forever, and my branches will fall and my leaves will wither one day."
The star tried to comfort the tree, saying, "But I am here with you, and I will light up your nights always."
Years went by, and the tree grew weaker day by day. Still, the star continued to light up its nights.
One day, the tree said to the star, "Oh Star, I feel my time is near. I want you to know that I am happy you were here with me."
The star smiled and said, "And I am happy to have been part of your life, Tree."
On a quiet night, the tree collapsed and turned into an old stump. The star cried and mourned, but it remained in place, silently lighting up the night.
As time passed, the forest forgot the tree, but the star never forgot. It continued to light up the stump, a reminder of the story of the tree and the star, a tale of giving, friendship, and the inevitable end of life.
