Eugene Bolton's eyes snapped open, his mind foggy. Where was he? The last thing he remembered was reading his favorite novel, "The Kingdom of Evalon." He was transported into the world of the story, but not as the hero, Lysander, or the heroine, Liliana. No, he was now Eugene Bolton, the villain destined to be killed by Lysander.
Panic set in as he scrambled out of bed, looking around the unfamiliar room. He stumbled upon a mirror and gasped at his reflection. The handsome face staring back was not his own.
"What the...?" Eugene muttered, running a hand through his dark hair.
He remembered the story's plot, the characters, and their personalities. He knew he had to keep a low profile, avoid Lysander and Liliana at all costs, and find a way to survive.
But fate had other plans.
As he left his chambers, he bumped into Lysander himself, who was walking down the corridor with Liliana by his side. Their eyes met, and Eugene felt a jolt of anxiety.
"Ah, Eugene Bolton," Lysander said with a nod. "I see you're up early. Perhaps we can discuss the upcoming ball?"
Eugene forced a smile, trying to appear nonchalant. "Of course, Lysander. I wouldn't miss it for the world."
Liliana's gaze lingered on him, her expression curious. Eugene's heart skipped a beat. He needed to deflect their attention, fast.
"Excuse me, I have matters to attend to," he said, bowing slightly before hurrying away.
As he disappeared into the crowd, he couldn't shake off the feeling that his desperate attempt to fly under the radar had just failed miserably.
author : Let me add a small detail to explain Lysander's presence:
As Eugene left his chambers, he bumped into Lysander, who was walking down the corridor with Liliana by his side. They were on their way to meet Eugene's father, the Duke of Bolton, to discuss a matter of state. Lysander, being the kind and just prince that he was, had taken it upon himself to ensure that Eugene's father was not exploiting his power. He had arrived at the Bolton estate early, hoping to catch the Duke before he began his day.
Eugene, still disoriented from his transmigration, hadn't expected to run into the prince and heroine so soon. He knew that, in the original story, Lysander and Liliana would eventually discover his "evil" deeds and confront him. He needed to keep a low profile and avoid raising their suspicions, but fate seemed to have other plans. Let's wait and see what awaits our ML in the future. Will he be safe or will fate catch up to him? Look forward to it!

Eugene hastily retreated from the corridor, trying to escape the awkward encounter with Lysander and Liliana. He turned a corner, only to find himself lost in the labyrinthine castle.
As he wandered, he stumbled upon a room filled with peculiar objects. There were silly hats, oversized shoes, and a collection of whoopee cushions. Eugene's eyes widened in confusion.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was Lloyd, his trusted knight.
"Lord Bolton, I see you've found my secret stash," Lloyd said with a grin. "I use these to... uh... relieve stress."
Eugene raised an eyebrow. "You expect me to believe that, Lloyd?"
Lloyd chuckled. "Well, maybe not, Your Lordship. But I do have a plan to help you navigate this castle and avoid any more... unpleasant encounters."
Eugene's eyes lit up. "Really? What is it?"
Lloyd pulled out a ridiculous-looking hat. "Disguise, my lord! With this, you'll blend in seamlessly."
Eugene hesitated, but Lloyd's enthusiasm was infectious. He donned the hat, and they set off on their mission to explore the duchy incognito.
Eugene adjusted the ridiculous hat, trying to get used to its floppy brim and oversized feathers. Lloyd assured him it was the perfect disguise, but Eugene had his doubts.
As they navigated the castle corridors, Eugene tripped over his own feet, stumbled into a suit of armor, and knocked over a nearby candelabra. The hat, however, remained firmly in place.
Lloyd chuckled. "You're a natural, Lord Bolton!"
Eugene glared at him. "This is your fault, Lloyd."
Just then, they stumbled upon Alisa, the kind-hearted singer, practicing in a nearby chamber. She looked up, saw Eugene in the absurd hat, and burst into laughter.
"Oh dear, Lord Bolton! What... uh... inspired your new fashion sense?"
Eugene's face turned bright red. "Uh... I was just... uh... trying something new."
Alisa giggled. "Well, you certainly are... eye-catching."
Lloyd intervened, trying to salvage the situation. "Ah, Lady Alisa, we were just... uh... rehearsing a play. Yes, that's it."
Alisa's eyes sparkled with amusement. "I see. Well, in that case, I'd love to join in. What's the play about?"
Eugene hesitated, unsure how to extricate himself from this mess. But Lloyd just grinned and said, "Why don't we improvise, my lord?"
And so, Eugene found himself trapped in a ridiculous improv session, wearing a preposterous hat, and trying to maintain his dignity.
Eugene's improv session with Alisa and Lloyd quickly descended into chaos. They were supposed to be acting out a scene from a serious play, but Eugene's hat kept falling over his eyes, and Alisa couldn't stop giggling.
Lloyd, trying to keep a straight face, declared, "I shall slay the dragon and save the kingdom!"
Eugene, tripping over his own feet, shouted, "Nay, good knight! I shall slay the dragon and save the kingdom... with my trusty chicken sidekick!"
Alisa burst into laughter, and even Lloyd cracked a smile. "Uh, I think we need to work on our script, my lord."
Just then, Lysander and Lady Liliana Lanster walked into the chamber, looking serious. "What's all the commotion, Lord Bolton?" Lysander asked, eyeing Eugene's hat.
Eugene tried to play it cool. "Oh, just a little... uh... method acting, Lord Oystern."
Lady Liliana raised an eyebrow. "Method acting? With a chicken sidekick, Lord Bolton?"
Eugene's face turned bright red. "Uh... well... it's a... uh... symbolic chicken."
Lysander chuckled. "I see. Well, perhaps you should stick to villainy, Lord Bolton. Acting seems to be... beyond your skills."
Eugene glared at him, but Lloyd intervened, trying to smooth things over. "Ah, come now, Lord Oystern. We're just having a bit of fun."
