Don't Look Away
Chapter 1
Aiden's room is bigger as she imagined his would be, but didn't comprehend that fact that it was minimalist yet elegant. The room walls covered with soft gray paint, and decorated with few simple abstract paintings. Some plants were placed at the side of the entry door, making it more lively than a normal gray well polished space. He didn't come off like that when he was in school, he's more social, fun, charismatic and also topper in his class.
Emma stood by the window, feeling out of place.
Aiden closed the distance between them, moved his steps deliberate towards her. Emma felt a strange mix of anticipation and fear. As he approached without leaving his sight off of her, she gently placed her hand on his chest, trying to stop him.
Emma
"Didn't you tell me you would never come to like me, ever?"
Aiden paused, his green eyes shimmers with an intensity that made Emma's heart race. He looked directly at her, and for a brief moment, the world seemed to hold its breath.
Aiden parker
"I will break all of my promises I made only to get you, Mrs. Emma Sinclair"
*His voice was firm yet low honey soft hum, you can easily melt into*
Before, she could react, he clasped his hands with hers, pushing her hand away. He closed the gap between them, their breath almost mingles against each other

*I felt sudden clash of his lips onto mine. I lose my balance, before I fall, he grab me by my waist and pushed me to the wall.*
She tried to push him away but found herself lost in him as his each kiss deepens with each passing second

"Aiden, we can't ... this is...,"
Aiden parker
"Why not, Emma? Tell me why can't"
Emma
*His husky, low, deep voice sent shivers down my spine. The way he looked at me, the way his voice wrapped me around like a warm embrace, it was impossible to ignore the magnetic pull between us*
He leaned in again, capturing her lips once again, in a softer, more tender way.
* Back to high school period *

Hi, I'm Emma Sinclair. You could say I'm in typical popular high school girl, but that would be a lie.
I've always been ambitious, drive and maybe a little envious. Okay, a lot envious to most. My adoptive father, David Sinclair, loves me more than anything, but my life at home isn't perfect. My stepmother barely tolerates me, but in counterpart I am very close with my step-brother, Ethan.
And have two-bestie, Sophie and Lily, who are literally like my sisters. We did fight badly when we were in kindergarden,
my goodness! Embarrassing!

Chapter 2
Everyone rushed to their seats.

"Good morning! Everyone "
Teacher
"Are you guys ready for the test?"

* Lily moves behind her to face me, whispered*

"What test?"

"Do you know about this Sofia?"
*Sofia gives her a small knock on her head*

"Well of course, I know, Dummy. He gave us a whole week to prepare."

"Wait, how come no one has ever told me"

"Don't worry too much, it won't affect our result. It's just a mock test"

"Oh ! And before that there's going to be a new transfer student going to join us "
Everyone kept silent, waiting for the new kid to join in
As soon as he joined the class, the girls started to gasp.
He definitely looks like a model, someone you can only see on television shows
With a confident smile, he introduced himself

*The teacher pointed to the seat next to mine, which was a single desk*

During the test, the room was so quiet that the only thing you can hear is the scribbling of pens and flowing off the air makes the curtains rustled against each other

*I could feel the girls sneaking glances at Aiden*
After the test, as the teachers left the room, all the girls rushed to his desk, asking him questions about everything.

*While I was standing up, I almost tripped because the girls were crowding around him*

*Even blocking my seat, which is right next to his*

*I leaned over to my friends and whispered*

"Should I go and talk to him?"

"Tell him you're the president of his fan club"

*I muttered and rolled my eyes*

*I waited for her to complete her sentence*

*If he likes girls who are into sci-fi, romance or crime documentaries and maybe better, loves staying inside her room all day."

"Okay, you two are not help at all"

"Let's just get out of here."

*I raised my eyes in curious*

"Wish I had some of his test ace personality in me"

"Do you think we should do the honor and rescue him"

*One of the guys from our class, Jack calls him.*

"Hey, Aiden. Do you wanna join us ?"
*everyone, I mean everyone, looks at him as his loud voice echoes in the whole room*
Aiden finally stands up and manages to extricate himself from the crowd, giving a nod.

*As he walked by, our eyes met for a brief second*

*His gaze was intense*

*I quickly chose to break the eye contact and turned towards my seat*

Chapter 3
The classroom went silent after the teacher walked in, holding our mock test papers.
He started calling names, handling out papers.

*I was really eager to hear my name.*

*While waiting, I saw a pen fall to the floor. *

*I picked it up and handed it to him with a smile.*
*He grabbed it quickly without saying anything.*

*I was staring at him in disbelief*

*I walked up to get my paper*

*I saw, I got 98% marks on my test *

* I was literally doing an internal dance inside my head*

"You did really well as a newly transferred student here."

"Keep up with the good work"

*I saw him walking towards his desk, tossing his paper as if it meant nothing*

"How much did you get ?"

*I was looking at the window, blankly staring at the sky*

*I heard a little whispered, coming from the left side*

* I looked back to see who called me*

"How much did you get?"
Aiden parker
*Oh, she's asking about my marks*

*I lazily grabbed the mock paper on my hand, and showed her my scores.*

*I can see her eyes open wide as if she couldn't believe I can score this well*

*Before even she continued I slammed my paper under the desk*

*and went back to sleep on my desk*

"How did you do on the test?"

* I tried not to brag*

" Help me next time, with my studies too"

Across the cafeteria, Aiden's new friends, Jack and Ryan were teasing him

Aiden and Emma are in the opposite team as today the class is playing volleyball.
He moved so quickly to the side.

*I was literally about to laugh when I saw the ball coming right in my direction*

*I jumped and sent it back over the net*
