The class is noisy and is teasing Brent as he entered the classroom. He is wearing his eyeglass as usual and his neat uniform together with his neat hair makes him the grandfather's boy vibe. Everybody avoided him because of how smart and blunt about things. He is also wearing a thick brace that makes his look nerd. The boys are throwing papers to him and the girls are laughing at him while giggling. " Hey, I heard that you said you like Apple. Well, let me tell you something! She doesn't like you! " Greg who happens to have a cool persona that time is trying to make him angry because of a bet. Apple was not present at that time because she is always late. She is one of the stubborn student at that time. " I did not say such things. " Brent said with a serious face. At that moment, Apple entered the class and heard about it. Actually she is hurt because at the deep of her heart, she was the one who have a crush on Brent. " Well, even if you will confess your feelings for me. I reject you! " Apple said and everybody laughs. Apple and Brent stare at each other that time as if they are the only one in that classroom. Brent wanted to explain, to say sorry, and to confessed, but it seems before doing it she is already rejected by her. Apple wanted to repeat her words, to say that actually she likes him because he is undeniably smart, and neat, but it seems that he is her enemy. After that day, Brent did not go to school, and they never saw each other again.

After ten years, Apple is the only person in her batch that manage to stay in their village after ten years. Because their village is far from the cities, and it is poor, most of the families are transferring to another place at least near the city where they have relatives. The people who want to earn more opportunities are leaving the village including all her classmates and friends. The one who stayed there are usually the old people and those who don't have relatives in other places including her. Her grandparents are her parents, and she doesn't know who her parents are because they did not even bother to visit her until she is five years old. Her parent's face are still blurry in her memory, and she is afraid to travel outside the village because she is enjoying her life inside the village as an animal doctor. She is undergraduate as a veterinarian, and now she is assisting the village animal doctor.

A wounded dog is bumped by a motorcycle and is being taking care of Apple, but it died because of blood loss. Apple cried because of sadness. " You might as well be the real owner of it because you cried too much. " Dr. Kami, the animal doctor is joking with her. He is the new assigned animal doctor in the village, he is well known because of his handsome look, and he just arrived in the village 1 year ago. He is four years older than Apple. " But doc... It is pitiful, he died after giving birth to its puppies. " Apple is gently rubbing the head of the dog. Dr. Kami smiled looking at the cute face of Apple. " You will find more experience outside the village. I am always telling you, I can recommend you to some big clinic in the city if you just want to work outside the village. " Dr. Kami suggests. Apple removed her gloves and washed her hands in the sink. " And my answer is always the same Dr. Kami. I cannot leave my grandmother here. Imagining that she will be alone, it hurts me. " Apple said. " Well it is up to you, I just wanted to help. I don't know when will they change me here, so I am just trying to help while I can. " Dr. Kami said. "And I am thankful of that Dr. Kami. You have been a great help in our village. " Apple said wiping her tears. Then she looks outside the window. " What is outside the village that people leave a peaceful life here? We have everything we needed here, food and peace. " Apple ask innocently. " Opportunities, new things, fame and money that cannot get if they remain to stay here. " Dr. Kami answered. " I am scared. " Apple said. " If you meet right people then it shouldn't be scary as you imagine. But if you happen to meet the wrong ones, you will surely regret it. " Dr. Kami said while making his coffee. " You are young and talented. You just lack resources, you can save this dog if we happened to have a blood store, but we are in the village and the worst part is, far from civilization. Of course, it will die. " Dr. Kami sipped his coffee. " Do you think so, doctor? The reason it died is that we lack resources? " Apple ask. " Well ? Why would it be dead then? " Dr. Kami ask in confusion. " Because there are people who don't care about other's life. They are selfish and cold-hearted people that did not even think about the dog's life. They are bad people. " Apple said. " I really envy your innocence Apple, but sometimes it doesn't work that way. " Dr. Kami sipped his coffee again.

" Why are you not picking up the phone?! Open the T.V! " Louie manager is yelling on the other side of the line. Brent have no choice but to search for the remote and open the tv. " ...and for the headline today , the famous actor Louie have another video scandal again. And for the record ,this will be his fifth s*x scandal for this year involving the famous actress..." Louie smiled devilishly knowing that this will happen. Then his phone rings. " I told you , you will fall this time. " the voice of the woman said.

Louie scoff and his adam's apple is going up and down when he swallowed his saliva. " You just kissed me and took a video out of it. You call this s*x video. I'm tired of this little games. " He said with his husky voice. Then he dropped call. He dialed his manager's number" I will go for a vacation, don't even bother to look me up or call for me. I need to chill. " He said and without waiting for his manager's reply, he off the phone. He then gets the brochure of the famous place in the country to be his destination. One place happen to get his attention. A village far from the city, a good place to renew his mind.

Louie is taking his private contact person to show him whole place of the trip. They are now riding a jet to go to the last place of the trip. " It is said that only people live there, are you sure you want to stay there for the night? " His contact person said. " This is better than with the famous actresses who got on my nerves. Did you get the martini? " Louie asked being unbothered. " Of course! Remember to get your ass up in the morning at 10 and don't let me find you in such a small village. " Dave said. " You're such a nagger! " Louie slapped his shoulder. Then in an hour, Dave dropped him in the place where the boats are loading. Louie walks with the martini in his bag and extra clothes if ever he wanted to swim.

It is already 5 in the afternoon and as Dave said, because of its small population he cannot even see a single person that is walking in the street. Louie started to open the martini while walking and drink straight to his throat. " It is better to drink it while its cold..." He said it to himself while walking.

Dr. Kami who came from the clinic decided to take a walk and not to used his car because he just feels it. He is already far from the clinic when he saw a man who is walking from his opposite direction. The road is wide, and he is sure that it is enough for the both of them, but it seems the man bumped him in purpose, he was supposed to get angry, but he smelled the hard liquor on him. He is drunk. Dr. Kami even noticed the bottle of martini in his hands, and it is almost finished. The doctor just avoided him and go in his own way knowing that the person is drunk.

As usual, after Apple finished her shift in the clinic she went to her favorite spot. It is the old house of Brent and his family. It is already cleaned and empty, the walls are now brown from its original white color. The house is quite decent compared to others, it is a two-storey house.

Apple realized long ago that maybe one of the reason why Brent was hated and bullied before was because their classmates are jealous of him. His parents are both veterinarian doctors, and they were assigned in the village for not too long ago in Apple's memory. They have decided to build a house is the village and the house are the only two-story house that time. Apple can still remember how she wished to have a house like that. People in the village respected the family and look up to the family who only have a son. The neighborhood are teasing the couple to add another one while they are still young. Apple will always wait for their son to go out of the gate first before going to school and make sure to walk with him in a distance since their houses are opposite to each other.

Apple giggled while thinking of the past and as usual, she put the old cup with a rice wine in it. Rice wine is a thing that is popular in their village since it is created by the old people in the village in traditional way. Since the government decided to make their village open for tourists, Rice wine is a must for them to buy in the place because of its sweetness and aroma. For a person who is alcoholic, it is just like a sleeping pill. But for Apple who is not used to it, it can knock her out in a minute.

Apple can feel the ground that is moving. She tried to sit properly and open her eyes, then she saw a familiar face in front of her. " Brent? Is that you?... Is this a dream?" Apple is now caressing the man's cheek thinking that it is a part of her illusion. Louie is trying to remove her palm from his cheek, but her hands go at the back of his neck, both her hands are now at the back of his neck and Apple put her forehead to his forehead. " If this is a dream then I want to make sure that you will not get away from me anymore. I waited for this long just to see you even in my dreams. " Apple said .

With the effect of rice wine , Apple became shameless. She put her lips on top of his lips , the she moves a bit their face have a small space in it enough for them to feel each other's breath. Apple embraced the man infront of her while kneeling and the man is in a sitting position " Let me be greedy just this once... " Apple whispered. And then her lips conquer his, he was trying to get away from her but the effect of strong alcohol kicked in and his body became hot. His ears are becoming red, and she wanted the smell of the woman. It feels familiar but new to him. He was supposed to push her but her hands wander in his chest that is open because he did not closed his hawaiian polo shirt.

Her touch makes him crave for more. Her sweet lips made him wild. He put his hands around her hips. And it makes him more ask for more. Then her lips went to his neck, he can feel her tongue roaming in it and her teeth that is gently scraping his skin. He cannot complain because his whole being likes it. Then this time it is his time, he put his lips into hers, he fully occupied it. His hands go to her inner shirt and find the thing that he is looking for. He pressed with his finger gently and she moaned. Her voice is like a music to his ears, her soft body makes him want to wander all of it. He wants to devour her, to make her his.

" Can I be really yours? " Apple ask her Brent. She is now on top of him, and she put her palm into his palm. Her long wavy hair is all over his face. " You smell amazing, did you know that? " Louie said, and get some strands of her hair, and he kissed it.

" Why are you being quiet? " Dave is asking Louie because he seems to be thinking deep while he gets him from the village on the island. " I find it amusing what a person can do in exchange for fame and money. " Louie. " What do you mean?" Dave is confused. " I came here to escape those people who used me for fame and money, but I bet, someone knew that I will come here, so I fell into their trap. " Louie is disappointed. " I bet another scandal of mine will appear tomorrow." He said.

Apple still cannot believe that her grandma is not breathing that morning when she went home. " It is my fault, if only...if only I went home that night..." Apple is murmuring. Dr. Kami is the last one who is standing with her in the cemetery that day. The doctor patted her shoulder while she is hugging her grandma's picture. " Your grandma is old, the doctor said she passed away because of her age. Let go of your grandmother, Apple. Or else it will be hard for you and her. You believe in spirits right? Let her spirit rest. " Dr. Kami said.

After 5 years:

" Hello? " Kiwi is answering the phone while Apple is in the shower. " Kiwi? Where is your mom? " Dr. Kami is in the other line. " Dr. Kami? Is that you? " The five years old kid is exciting upon hearing his name. " I told you to call me daddy uncle." Dr. Kami is laughing on the other line. " You don't suit it. You are not old and bald. I saw my classmates uncle and daddy's, they are bald and old, but you are not. " Kiwi said being innocent. Dr. Kami wanted to laugh out loud, but he just can't, he finds Kiwi hilarious. " Kiwi! I told you not to answer the phone by yourself ! What if it's a scam! " Apple is overreacting and get the phone.

" It is me, don't worry I am not a scammer." Dr. Kami is happy to hear her voice. " Oh, Yes Dr. Kami? " Apple asks while holding the towel that is covering her body and watching Kiwi who is eating her cereal. " I told you many times to call me Brent. " Dr. Kami is scolding her. " I'm sorry... I just can't..." Apple is hesitating. " Because your first love is named Brent? Is that it? " Dr. Kami said. Apple cannot answer since it is the truth. "Anyway, I called you because I want to inform you that I will be back in the country for three months. I will just finish my contract here, and maybe I will be back for good. " Dr. Kami is very happy. " Why are you informing me ? You should inform your girlfriend. " Apple is confused. " Since she is a model, her schedule are busy, Believe me, she doesn't have time for me. You are my only friend in the country so just letting you know. " Dr. Kami tried to be happy. " Ahh of course. " Apple is glad.

" Friend zone!" Kiwi shouted as she is watching some movie. " What?! "Apple is shock. Kiwi pointed the t.v" Mommy, she friends zone the hero in the movie! " Kiwi said honestly. Apple sighed for over thinking.

" How is it? " Louie asked Dave about the thing that he wanted him to. Dave shakes his head gently. " I told you, only old people are living in that place. I came back many times to check if there is a young woman according to your description but... How can I find a young woman with such a detail? No face with a body? I might as well find a needle in the haystack! " Dave is complaining because the woman face in the drawing is missing. Louie closed his eyes and sighed. He combs his hair up his forehead. " I am not even sure if everything that happened is an illusion or reality after 5 years. " Louie sighed and put his both palm inside his pocket. " For five years, you chose not to work in any lead role just for this woman?! Are you sure it is worth it? What will you do if you will find her? You are not even sure if she is reality. " Dave is now eating the apple that is in the middle of the table. " It is not because of her, I just don't want to be in the same spot again. In this line of work, people are interested in everything in my life. It is better not to be noticed that much. " Louie explained. " Whatever. Do what you want to do as long as you are capable of paying me. " Dave said while devouring the apple.

" So are you interested ? " Micah is getting Apple's attention. They are now busy with the models. Micah who is literally a fashionista gay and Apple who is a poorly dressed person are workmates as they work in the same company as make up artist.
