While going back from her work as usually she decides to walk back to home but Merceline got caught up in a busy road and thinks to herself, ❝Has this road been this long or am I walking slow?❞ While she keeps walking towards her destination. She thinks, "It's been 50 mins and I haven’t reach home? While it takes only 30 minutes? Ahh, well, at least the weather looks nice." She looks at the sky while praising it and decided to stand there for few moments, so that, she can decide what to do? She starts to observe every store and building carefully. "I never paid attention to thoes stores, do I stay that much distracted to not notice any of the stores and other things?" Will she return home or will she just waste her time just because she doesn’t want to go home anymore? Not being sure of herself what she wants to do, she starts to walk again.  She reached home and saw that it was a total disaster, yet, she first went to change into something comfy so that, she can do the chores. When she was about to start the chores she texted her boyfriend, ❝Babee, I'm homee. I missed you alot todayy!! Reply me faster!!!❞ Then she started to do the chores with a bright smile on her face. "Ahh, I'm so tired, why can't anyone help me with the chores? And why am I the only child they have!!!" While complaining about the things in her mind she finishes the chores. Then checks her phone. "Why hasn’t he replied me yet? Is he busy? Ahh!! That boy!! He's never available." Then she goes to take a shower and rest for a while. After waking up, she checks her phone and get a notification from her boyfriend. ❝Hi baby, welcome home. How was your day?❞ She smiles while looking at her phone and replies, ❝It was great, everything is going smoothly. Did you eat?❞ This time her boyfriend replies faster then usually he does. ❝Yup, I did, take some rest and eat something as well❞ she replies back  ❝I took a nap and feeling full energetic. How was your day?❞ He was gone and didn’t replied. She waited few minutes before going out of their chat because she still wanted to talk. Out of frustration she screamed, ❝Ahh~ long distance is so hardd!! How do people do that for yearss?!! I can't even go 3 monthh!!❞ She moved to a different city with because she got a good job there which has more facilities and good amount of salary. But that means she and her boyfriend 'Rune' has to do long distance,  they agreed on the terms but now it seems hard for her and now she starts to wonder if she did the right thing. It's been 3 month since she moved in the city and got familiar with the roads. Yet, sometimes, she still wonder around like she knows this place for a long time. She gets out to buy some goceries and decided to check out the other shops as well, she went to few shops and bought few things for herself and her boyfriend to give him later, also brought the groceries. ❝Thank god, I didn’t forgot about the groceries or I would've to come again.❞ She went to home and checks her phone. 'No notifications.' She gets kinda upset that her boyfriend didn't replied her, even though, right now, he should be free from all the works he has to do. She called him and the number was unreachable which was a shock for her because Rune never let his phone die or turn it off. She was worried what might have happen to her boyfriend and why he has been acting so strange. They knew each other for 5 years but then Merceline fall in love with him, so, she proposed first but he didn’t accept that time nor he rejected her directly or indirectly. So, she just waited until he accept and the things were getting messy until Ashar stepped in but when Rune accepted, she was over the moon, she was never that much happy in her entire life but after going in different city, Rune started to act differently. Why was he acting differently? Was it because they are in long distance relation? That's why? Does he not love her anymore? It's only been 3 month that she's away from him. Did he lost interest that fast because she's away now? The things were good when they were together. So, what happened now? She kept thinking to herself and throw herself on the bed. While thinking all those things she received a text from her boyfriend, it said, ❝Sorry, I was out and my phone fell down and broke, so, I couldn’t answer you, I got it fixed now, so, don't worry.❞ she replied, ❝oh, okay. It's totally fine. ❞ She was too tired to even ask the things that were going on her mind, it was like, her mind is playing a game with her to see if she can win or will be left on heart broken. She decided to sleep because she has to go to work tomorrow.

"It's only been 3 months that she's away, why does it feel like, it has been a year? It feels so empty without her. No one forces me to study or to go to work or eat on time, yet she still askes me, it doesn’t feel the same." While thinking all these Rune layed down on his bed and just screamed from fustration. Suddenly his mom called him from the drawing room and he went there. He saw that his mom, her friend and friends daughter was sitting there. He greet them. Hello aunt and..? The girl replied. ❝Sahar.❞ He greeted her again. ❝Hello Sahar.❞ ❝Hii Runee!!❞ His mom said, ❝Go sit next to Sahar❞ He just looked at his mom with confusion while his mom repeated herself again. Then he sat down on the sofa, a little far from Sahar. Then his mom and her friend left. All she said was,❝Get to know each other!❞ Rune was confused and didn’t wanted to talk with her as his mind was full about Merceline. While Sahar was staring at him like she is his girlfriend. He was uncomfortable because of that and he was about to get up but then Sahar started to talk. ❝Did you know? We used to study in the same school.❞ It didn’t seemed right to left her while she was talking, so, he decided to have a quick chat and left the room. ❝Oh, did we? I never noticed you. I was always busy with my studies.❞ ❝Even though you didn’t noticed me, I noticed you, you were quite famous for being a topper and handsome at the same time.❞ ❝Ohh, I see, I never really paid attention to my surrounding things.❞ ❝Hmm.❞ ❝By the way, why did mom invited you guys? If it’s polite to ask. Can I know?❞ ❝You don't know?!❞ ❝No?❞ ❝Well, that's surprising. She fixed our engagement day today. That's why, we came here.❞ Rune got up after hearing that. ❝I'm sorry, I've to go now.❞ He left without even listening to Sahar's answer. He was frustrated about the thing that his mom fixed his engagement without even letting him know. And he loves someone else, how can he be engaged to another person. He searched the whole house but didn’t found her. He started to call her. ❝Moomm!!!❞ No one responded. Then he went to the garden and he found her there. ❝Moom!!❞ ❝Hm?❞ His mom was looking at him like she was confused why he's screaming even though she knows very well why he is screaming. ❝How could you do that without even asking me!!!!❞ ❝Why can't I do that? I'm your mother afterall.❞ ❝Just because you are my mother, you can't force me to marry someone whom I don't want to. You know, I love someone else!!❞ ❝That's nonsense. Stop fooling yourself with the girl who is older then you. She will control you around. Is that what you want? Huh?!!❞ ❝I love her and she can control me and boss me around. She has the right to do that. Because I love her not someone else❞ ❝Stop that nonsense about love. You will do as I say to you and that's final.❞ Out of frustration, Rune throw his phone and broke it. ❝Why, just once, you can't listen to me?❞ After saying this, he left. He went to his best friend's house. ❝Bro, what's wrong? You look like you will die any moment now.❞ ❝I'm not in the mood to talk. Leave me alone❞ ❝You gotta share or how else I can help ya?❞ ❝Hm, you can't help me on this. It's more messed up then other times.❞ ❝Okay, let me hear.❞ ❝My mom fixed my engagement with some random girl.❞ His friend started to laugh.❝Ashar, do I look like I'm joking?❞ Rune gave him a dead glare. ❝Hey, hey, it was about to happen. I saw it coming years agoo.❞ ❝Yeah, whatever.❞ Rune was too tired to argue. So, he just left it. ❝Bro, you knew your mom never liked your girlfriend, so, that thing was a common thing to happen. ❞ ❝I'm so sick of her dude. All my life. I heard to her. I never did anything that will cause any problems. Then why she just can't listen to me this once?❞ ❝Maybe because she doesn’t like your girlfie, even though she is great in every way.❞ ❝Ahhh!! I'm so sick of it.❞ As they were talking about it. Rune suddenly remembered that his girlfriend must have messaged him so he asked to borrow Ashar's phone and then he logged into his account. He was right. She texted him. He replied to her textes.❝Hi baby, welcome home.❞ ❝It was great, everything is going smoothly. Did you eat?❞ ❝Yup, I did, take some rest and eat something as well❞ After sending this, he got out of their chats because he knew that she will ask about his day. And then he got the text ❝I took a nap and feeling full energetic. How was your day?❞ and bingo, he was right, he saw the text and decided not to reply her as he knew she would worry about this more then she should. Not knowing what to reply he left. Ashar asked him while watching the tv, ❝So, do you need help with this? Want me to act like her crazy bf?❞ ❝No, I've a better plan.❞ Ashar looked at Rune before replying and said, ❝As you wish bro, but, if you need help, then, I'm always here.❞ Rune decided to answer Merceline, ❝Sorry, I was out and my phone fell down and broke, I got it fixed now, so, don't worry❞ ❝Oh, okay. It's totally fine. ❞ He could feel that her text was much drier then before but he decided not to ask about it. Ashar called out for Rune. ❝Broo, come have dinner.❞ Rune went and saw that Ashar made few dishes which looked absolutely stunning. ❝Hey, since when you can cook?❞ ❝For a long time❞ ❝Oh, I didn't knew that!!❞ ❝Now you do!❞ Ashar laughed while saying that. Rune sat down and started to eat while Ashar was serving him and then he sat down too. Rune was surprised how good he's cooking was. ❝Bro! You gotta teach me how to cook!! You got some skills there.❞ Ashar was surprised by Rune's words and stared at him blankly. ❝Bro!! Will ya teach me?❞ ❝Oh, um, sure, if you wanna learn it.❞ Ashar thought to himself. ''The guy who never liked to cook because it was too much overwhelming for him, he now wants to learn cooking? Isn't that amazing?'' He smiles a bit as well. Meanwhile, Rune was thinking "If I learn how to cook, Merceline doesn’t have to work anymore, not even at home. She can enjoy her life, she suffered alot but now I'll take care of her." He was dancing in his thoughts as he was thinking thoes. After a while, they finished dinner and went to sleep.

Merceline and Rune knew eachother from highschool. Merceline was a senior while Rune was junior of Merceline. Rune was a topper while Merceline was barely passing her class. Merceline used to get bullied because of her poor grades or other things until she met Rune. Rune was a top student as always plus he was hansome, for that reason he was popular and no one dared to mess with him. The day they met was unforgettable. It was a shinny day yet it was another dark day for Merceline. She didn't want to go school that day but her mom forced her to go. ❝Mom!! Just one dayy, I won't die if I don't go one dayy!!❞ Her mom said, ❝Surely you won't die, but your grades will be lower then before, you have to go and thats final, don't dare to argue back!!❞ ❝Momm!! Pleasee!! Just this one dayy!!❞ ❝I said, NO ARGUING!!❞ Merceline didn’t said anything after this and got ready for school. She was still thinking about the thing she said. "I won't die if I won't go one today." She was thinking about being bullied again, even though, the destiny decided something else for her. She was already infront of school and she didn’t even realised how she got here while her mind was filled with all kind of questions. " I'll be builled again? Why it has to be me? What did I've ever done to them? I was nice to everyone, wasn’t I? Why just I can't have a peaceful day?? I don’t even have a friend to spend the day, why no one wants to be my friend?? " She was crying silently while standing infront of her school gate. Suddenly a boy asked her. ❝Hey, are you fine? Why are you crying❞ ❝You don't like school?❞ Merceline didn’t even looked at the boy, she just ran away while the boy was asking her questions. The last thing the boy said was, ❝ATLEAST BE HAPPY ABOUT THE WEATHER, IT'S NICEE!❞ He shouted so that the mystery crying girl can hear him. And he wonders if she did. Fortunately, she did and she was looking at the sky while wiping off her tears. She still didn’t enter in the building even though she's in the ground. ❝Here's another day of being bullied.❞ While thinking this, she enter into the building and the least person she wanted to meet first was her bully. She wanted to hide but before that her bully saw her and called her out. ❝Mercelineee!! We are heree!!❞ While unsure of whether to run away right now and get beaten up later or get beaten up now and show up in class like nothing happened. She walked towards her. ❝W-w-what do you want mi-miss A-a-asteria?❞ ❝Aww, that's cutee, but call me miss only, even though, I know, I love my name, I don't prefer to hear it again and again from your mouth.❞ ❝ye-yes miss.❞ Then she and her other friends took Merceline to the back ground of the school and pushed her on the ground. Asteria also took a baseball bat while coming to the playground. ❝Asteria!❞ ❝Oh look, who can speak without even stuttering! Our little princess has learnt how speak, Isn't that amazing?❞ While Asteria was saying that, her other friends were laughing on Merceline. She wanted to run away but Asteria hitted her with the bat and Merceline fall down again. Her head started to bleed. ❝Aww, is our little princess bleeding?!❞ Asteria hold Merceline's face and said, ❝No one needs a loser like you, not even your parents.❞ Merceline just stared at Asteria with teary eyes and Asteria started to hit her with the bat again. She was beating Merceline like she would have killed her today. Asteria's friends tried to stop her but she didn’t stopped. She stopped when Merceline was unconscious. ❝It's not fun to beat her when she's unconscious. Let's go back to class. It's almost time to start.❞ Then, they went back to class like nothing happened. Merceline was on the ground unconscious, a girl found her and took her to the nurses office. After being treated, Merceline got conciousness and saw that a girl was sitting next to her. It was a junior. She was staring at the girl because of the cuteness she had. She was about to ask the girl who she was but it seems like she couldn’t talk. She couldn't open her mouth to speak or thank her for taking her in the nurses office. The girl saw that Merceline woke up and she introduced herself. ❝Hi, I'm Sahar Doris❞ Merceline nodded. ❝I saw you in the ground and you were injured. What happened? Fortunately, my punishment was to clean that ground today and I found you, what if I didn’t found you? You would've died there.❞ Merceline just stared at the girl because even though she can't speak right now, she wouldn’t have told the girl that she was being bullied. ❝Sorry I kept on talking.❞ Merceline shaked her head slowly so that Sahar can understand that it was fine. Sahar understood that she is too weak to speak and decided to bring her some food. ❝I'll be right back soon, so, wait for me.❞ Merceline nodded and Sahar left the nursing room.
