Ch-1 Everything fell Apart
I am Ivan Walker... 14 years old. It's 1.50 AM right now, and I'm Doing my Homework.
Today is my mom and dad's 15th Anniversary… We had dinner together and they went outside. I knew Mom and Dad had some plans. That's why they quickly tucked Iris into bed and went away.
Dad always wanted a daughter but I got born instead.
It's not like he hates me. I am like his buddy. He always tells me to protect Mom and Iris.
After 4 years of my birth...mom was pregnant with a little girl but unfortunately she had miscarriage.
Then again after 4 years Iris was born. She is now 6 years old and Everyone loves her.

There were murmurs of agreement and nods around the table.
I pressed on, showing my understanding of the market, the competitors, and the innovative ideas I had to take the company forward.
By the time I finished, the room was buzzing with a new energy.

I was thinking about the whole day.

I was waiting for Iris to come back from her school. I was at her school front gate.
The school bell rang, and soon a flood of children poured out, their laughter and chatter filling the air.
Then I saw her. Iris, with her bright blue backpack bouncing with each step, spotted me and her face lit up with pure delight.
She shouted, her voice cutting through the noise. She broke into a sprint, her pigtails flying behind her as she ran.
I crouched down, arms open wide, ready to catch her. She launched herself at me, wrapping her tiny arms around my neck with surprising strength.
