The first time i saw someone die in front of me, was when i was seven we were watching a man who had been arrested for kidnapping children in our kingdom of a’sashara as was told by my mom he was hung in front of my eyes i covered them my mom the queen her eyes blue brown hair that went down to her big breast her pale skin skinny body wearing her black sparkly dress that dragged behind her and the royal family necklaces blue and shimmer gold circle sound it my mom pushed my hands down and told me “when a girls weak sweetie the husband you go home to will poorly treat you” i uncovered and saw the man hung to death when it was over we headed back to the castle our home was bigger than any building in town when we got home our maid Caroline was sweeping the floor “welcome home your highnesses” she says then bows “mom can you play with me today” i asked my mom never plays with me sometimes i cry but all she does is call me a crybaby “not today luella mommy is going to be busy today go play with yourself” my mom says while walking away i hate being a only child because i cant play with the maids or anyone who works in the house because my mom says it shows that im not tough enough to stand up for myself i do it anyway though i head out to the other building to the kitchen where the chefs are “hello” i say “hello luella” a maid named anne said she was 16 my parents had her for one year she had red hair in a bun like always she had pale skin and had forest green eyes “mom said no again” i nod she then said to one of the chefs “can you cover for me” the chef nodded “ok lets go want me to style your hair?” she asked “yes please” i said softly we headed out to my favorite tree it had apples growing from it a white bench near it with shade to protect perfectly anne started to move my hair out of my pale face and blue eyes comb my black wavy hair that went to my waist “what hairstyle sweetie” “braids please” i say she slowly pushes my hair and when shes done i run to the castle anne follows behind me i look in the mirror “its perfect” i say pulling anne into a hug the braids go perfectly on the opposite side “im glad you like it” anne says “hello your highness” one of the maid says my mom sees me and anne “what's going on here?” she says she looked like she was ready to yell and scream at me “the princess was hungry miss cora i was only asking her what she wanted to eat” anne said stepping in “what did i say about calling me by my name you will address me as queen, highness or majesty you peasant who did your braids” my mom asked i panicked i didnt know what to do or say but then one maid chloe said “oh i did that your majesty she wanted me to do it” my mom looks at me and says “ok carry on oder whatever you want honey pretend im not here” my mom looks at me i had to be mean i knew anne knew

Because she then bowed to me and said “what was it you wanted princess” i look at her and think of a insult as quickly as i could “go make me chicken parm and it better be done by the time i finish my homework peasant and it better be warm room temperature or ill get my mom to fire you and you'll be poor and the streets like the ugly money begging street rat you are” i say guilt went down my throut i felt bad saying it i didnt mean it i love the way anne cooks she is funny vary smart and tries to save money for her family my mom looks at me proudly “good job honey thats how you teach them to respect you” my mom hugs me anne still there my mom looks at her and in anger says “did you not hear my daughter what are you doing here make her her meal NOW PEASANT GO!!!” “yes your highness i will bring your daughter her meal” anne runs out after i finish my homework i realize anne wasn't there with my food my mom walked in angry “where on earth is that brat with your meal i will fire her dont worry dear” i panicked i didnt want anne to leave me alone in the palace yes i play with the other maids but anne was like a sister to me i didnt want her gone “n-no mom im not done with my homework yet im almost though so if she fails to come i will yell at her do i have permission to curse mom?” i lied i would never cuss at people let alone anne “fine but if she fails to prepare it properly like you wanted ill speak to her” my mom walks out and a couple minutes later anne walks in with a fancy plate “here you go princess” she says and bows “my mom isn't around we can talk again” i whisper in her ear “no your mother may show and see we cant risk that ok luella” “ok” i say disappointed she walks away blowing me a kiss i catch it giggling behind my smile little did i know that giggle would disappear one day

On that morning i knew my father was in the kitchen with my mother having breakfast i put on my purple dress that moved as i walked going over my legs i put on my white sparkly diamond taira gold line at the bottom and shiny at the top my maid tonia was sweeping the hallway i bow to her even though im a princess about to be queen in three years i have to respect others no matter how powerful i am “good morning tonia did you sleep well” i ask feeling empathy for her i knew that she lived in the palace ever since she was eighteen now twenty three she slept in the underground home with all the other maids in there bunk beds “i slept not well but i have to get my job done so i dont have to sleep there anymore not that its a bad thing its not comfortable” tonia said “no i do im sorry” i then whisper in her ear and my final sentence was “dont worry when im queen everything is going to be different” i say walking away tonia says “people like you luella gives me hope for the future” i thank her and head to the dining room i see my mother in a yellow dress long with her white sparkly queen crown with red diamonds in the center my father wearing his red striped white shirt and his dark mexican skin but my mom doesnt like mexicans, blacks, asians, lower classes, homosexuals, overweight people, and disabled people. My mom always said to me “the reason i married you father was because he was a prince” which to this day doesnt make sense to me i sit down “hello sweetheart we are having a party tonight at the palace” didnt surprise me when she said that we are always having some party or ball at the royal palace “also you are going to be queen in a year its time you learned how a well mannered queen behaves” my father said “but i already know how father ever since young youve always taught me how to-” my mom cuts me off saying “enough your training starts tomorrow being queen comes with rules as well as being a princess and one of the rules of being the princess is no talking back you will do what we say no matter what understood?” i nod oh how badly i wanted to be queen to change how my mother ruled our so called kingdom my dad claps his hands and one maid beth comes and bows my father says “dress my daughter for the party tonight and the theme is heavenly goddesses got it” she nods i get up from my chair and head to my room beth pulls a sparkly no strapped the dress going to the floor and going to be showing my breast when i was finished i thank beth my mother then passes by saying “what do you think your doing not wearing any makeup” my mom grabs my arm tight “you look discusting without it ugly and horried put makeup on now” my mom says making me feel ugly i sit in my chair almost at the verge of crying i put my conceler on slowly when im finished with my full face of makeup i head outside i go to the kitchen and see anne who was now washing the dishes “hello luella you looking beautiful as always aren't you” she says with a smile “come on hang out with me please” i ask begging her “fine , lora cover for me” lora a chef nods and we head out anne who was now 24 years old looked and acted about the same since she was 16 the only thing i know that has changed was her height and she is now married living with her husband and trying and planning on getting pregnet “have you found someone yet” she asks “no” i respond “luella im worried about you im not trying to rush or pressure you but i guaranteed your parents are you know you have to marry a prince by your 18th birthday in oder to become queen or your parents will choose i dont want that happening to you” i have always been furious with this law since my mother told me when i was only twelve years old “i know anne but most of the princes in this kingdom are selfish dont care about others feelings and some even hate women” i say it was true some of the other pinces have said how there own brothers treat others when the journalists arent around “luella looks like youre never going to change you still talk to these uneducated citizens” archie a self absorbed brat who own the north side of the kingdom we have known eachother since we were five and now he is the captain of the knights “archie why don't you go with the other knight and leave anne and i alone” i say as i get up to stand proudly he bows walks up to me and kisses my hand “as you wish princesses” i don't know what every girl in the kingdom sees in him girls throughout the town have been drawn to him because of his brown deep eyes brown hair that flows in the wind as im told by princesses he is gentle and friendly but to me its always been lies When i was thirteen around the time my mother told me about me becoming queen, Arichie came to my room as i was combining my hair. “hello princess” he said closing the door “Archie i told you you dont have to call me that call me Luella” i said softly “oh right Luella, i love you” he said i was shocked, i never felt that way about him i only saw him as someone i had to get along with according to my parents. Not wanting to hurt his feelings i said “im sorry Archie but i dont see you in that way. Your a good prince but i dont love you im sorry, you dont deserve me.”

he looked at me in anger and the next thing you know he punches me to the ground.

As i lay there, he comes to me pulls me by the hair “oww stop Archie stop” he then covers my mouth and says “you will love me no matter what Luella, someday im going to be your husband whether you like it right or not ill be yours.” he then kisses me on the forehead as i shed a tear he says “and dont think anyone will believe you. Everybody knows im a kind friendly prince and you your a women, who do you think will say ill make sure he stays away from you.

You are going to pretend this didnt happen alright” as he was still pulling my hair i managed to nod, he let go walking to the door and opening it “good talk Luella” he said after an hour talking with anne she leaves. As i walk back to the castle i heard yelling, running in my dress when getting to the area i saw a boy laying on the ground. “faggot” “get out of here” the knights yelled “whats going on” i say everyone goes silent until one knight says “princess were sorry we didnt mean disturb you, this women wanted to be a knight.” i look down i could tell she was a women, seeing by her bra strap a little to the side of her shoulder. It didnt matter its not that i wanna be a knight, i just wanna learn how to fight so wont need the guards when heading to the village.

Girls in my opinion should be allowed to fight no matter what.

The knight continued to say offensive words to her so i said “enough” everyone got silent again “why would a women of all people wanna be a knight, what your talking about its a fantasy a women wanting to fight ive never heard that.” i say knowing im lying right threw my teeth “but-” i cut off the knight and said “enough no women has short hair unless there infants, shame on all of you for thinking that way this is clearly a man and if i see you calling him any horrific words i will speak with my mother understood boys.” everyone was silent until all the knight said

“yes princess” and bowed to me “Now leave, i have to fix your mistake” They left I then help her up, as i do i say “hi im luella im sorry about them they are just awful, dont worry your secret stays with me whats your name anyway.” she then gets on her knees and pledes “ill do anything just please dont tell anyone.”

i hate when people assume at least people in the villige that princesses are only obsessed with makeup, looking pretty, money, and drama. “im not like that i promise, i wont tell whats your name.” i ask “camron” he said “oh im sorry i thought you were a girl.”

“oh i used to be but, no im now a boy now and thank you again princesses” he bowed to me i bowed to him “you dont have to bow to me, if anything i should be bowing to you and please call me luella.” he smiles and walks away before he leaves i tell him “if they say anything to you report it to me” he nods and keeps walking as i head back to the castle i hear someone in the dinning walking in their i hear my mother running towards the kitchen closing the door i head over trying to open the door it wasnt open i knock “mom are you ok” i say my throat feeling dry and my stomach was feeling twisted “yes dear i just got a little dirty is all go get ready for the party tell the peasants they clean the ball room quickly before people arrive” “yes mom” i say and head back out still having a pit in my

stomach.

That day i got up with clothes hanged up for me to last the rest of the day it was pink sparkly long that definitely went under my knees i put on my tiara and the maid clara walked in to put on my dress once i left my room i waved goodbye went down to the carriage my mom was already there when the couchmen open the door “thank you” i said oh no my mother looked at me in disgust when i got into the coach she slapped my arm “oww” i said she pulled my hair to my face and said angrily “never do that again you understand me if you continue to do that to the people who serve you they will walk all over you now when you get off at the western castle you will not Acknowledge the couchmen got it” i nodded she pulled my hair harder me winning in pain “answer my question” with all my strength i managed to say “yes” that ride was silent i looked out the carriage window seeing the markets men and women standing behind their stand holding out foods jewelry and clothing when we finally get to the castle i get out of the carriage and follow my mom the castle was a bit smaller than ours but had the same detail except it was green as we walk in a maid lets us in and queen matilda walked in with a smile on her face and green sparkly big dress a pearl necklace around her neck her pale face and green eyes my mom never liked matilda cause my mom said she has a outrages personality but ive always found her very nice “welcome ladies to my home hello cora and princess luella, luella the kids are outside playing if youd like to join them while your mother and i will chat.” i nod and head outside i see arichie who is my age the youngest in his family and his three sisters his oldest sister princess sophia being age twelve she has been known for having a sense of humor which means she makes fun of other girls and is so selfish she has green eyes and brown wavy hair with dark skin the second youngest star she is known for being a girl who likes to brag about how rich she is even though shes ten she brags how much she has and brags about her wealth she has brown eyes and red curly hair and pale skin with freckles across her cheeks the third youngest is nora she is known for being adorable but a brat when she doesn't get her way she knows all the latest gossip and just being the age of nine she has brown puffy waves with dark skin and green eyes archie is the only one i tolerate because hes actually really nice but he is very rude to the workers archie is known for being the sweetest kind in the kingdom he has brown eyes tan skin and brown hair when i walk up to them sophia says “hello luella” “hi sophia” i reply with a smile “hey we got a new maid and shes so ugly luella shes fat too fatter than a whale if you can belive it” sophia says with a smirk i hate mean about others but my mom tells me that i have to learn to deal with other people in a respectable way so i said “oh ok well i cant say much since its not my place to talk harsh about others” which sophia says “oh im just kidding around princess luella no harm done right” i nod star walks up and says “what a pretty dress princess luella i have one just like that except it has real rhinestones on the waist” “that sounds beautiful star” i say she then jumps for joy saying “Oh you wanna see my new wardrobe i got its worth over 8,000 dollars” i decline and say “i want to say hi to everyone first and then i was going to go play” “your lose” she response nora waves and i wave back but she was to busy talking to her friends i didnt wanna bother so i walk over to archie who is playing swords with the knights “hey stop please thank you for playing but now ima go to princess luella” he tells the knights and hugs me “hey princess luella please play with me we can play princess and knights” i agree princess and knights are my favrote game i climb up the tree and archie has to come and save me after playing the game the maid calls us in lunch but in archies house the family doesnt eat together they grab plates and take the lunch to there rooms i grabbed my plate that had grapes celery rice and meatloaf saying“thank you” to her i run up with archie to his room we played chess and then archie said “why don't we play dare” i was confused i never heard of a game “how do you play?” i ask curiously “well we dare each other to do things and the other has to do it” archie says “well that sounds kinda dangerous” i said in worry “come on it wont be too bad” he said then i say “sure” archie then says “ok i dare you too cuss” i shake my head “no way thats bad archie” archie says “come on its not bad ive cussed when no ones around and its just us i wont say anything i promise princess luella here ill say a curse word damn you stupid” i gasp “ok fine stupid” i cover my mouth archie laughs then my mom knocks on archies door saying its time to go i wave and say goodbye to archie does too and my mom takes me home
