A young man had entered with coffee. I'm looking at him as he has kept the coffee on my table and is now standing beside like a butler. I take the coffee, but then something crossed my mind...

"Where's the new girl?"

"Sorry Sir, I didn't introduce myself, I'm your new assistant, Kaito Chiba, and I was told to serve you coffee."

She looks like a boy and she's got the name of a boy. Whatever, its not my concern anyways. She emphasizes on the coffee a lot.

So, I take a sip. Eww.... what was that!

"Do you wish to kill me with that coffee!? This looks as if it has been poisoned!"

"I'm sorry sir, I haven't made coffee before"( she bows in apology)

"What kind of coffee is that? how much sugar did you put in?!"

I did not notice, but my volume raised a little too high. Everyone outside was hearing, the new girl was being shouted at on the first day, she must have felt very insulted... But the coffee was terrible! She did get a little angry, it was visible on her face. Bit still she remained polite.

"I'm truly sorry."

"That's not an excuse, coffee is the simplest..."

Suddenly she loses her temper..

"Sir, I'm not here to make you coffee, many companies ate ready to hire me, Mrs Lu requested me so I accepted... if you're that much bothered by the coffee, you may as well fire me immediately" (she raged in anger)

A simple SHUT UP was thrown at my face, as if she declared that there is nothing I could do to bother her. Hey plain and polite boy kind of image was destroyed in a second. I didn't have a mirror, but I was pretty sure that my face was in a shocked look. Good that, only the two of us were in the room. It is an awkward silence but not like those in manga.

Oops, it again slipped out of my mouth, but now's not the time to think about it. It's not a romantic silence, but it still has to be broken. She too had quietened after speaking and looks like something went completely against her expectations. Why does she look sad? Shouldn't she maintain that angry look or, if she's weak, she should start crying. But world's not always black or white, it's mostly grey. She isn't strong enough to keep up with that face, after all she is a girl, but still she is a strong girl, so she didn't cry. Ms May had rushed in at this moment. She hands me her phone and starts explaining this to her. My Mom is on the other side of the call.

"Hikaru, this is not right. This time your assistant is not your date, we hired her for she is too good at work. She is young and had just passed out from management courses and is now in great demand. Were you again trying to scare her away?

"No... em... this was... like coffee... and.. "

"Coffee? not again! That's your most common excuse to scare away any girl I select. She is from a good family so we don't want to make any fuss about it. She is the elder daughter of Chiba's. So, in manga , that's what is like a 'heroine that is not favored by her family, had no right in property, but had stood up on her own.' Yeah, that's a good story but I prefer regular shoujo manga. Seems like Ms May was successful in explaining her the things. Life is gonna be hard if this goes on, especially the coffee...

After the disastrous coffee incident, Me and Kaito have been on rather bad terms. She is especially good in the work thing. She's quick, has got wit and her ability despite being a newbie is outstanding.

"Good morning, Mr. Lu!" A cheerful greeting from a very known voice. Its Jasmine.

"Good Morning, Jasmine! You look good today as well.." A praise from me. I hope you have already guessed it correct. Yeah,yeah.... she's the type of girl I'd call the 'My Type'. She's sweet, cute and perfectly fits to be a shoujo manga heroine. She is liked by everyone and like naturally, I like her too....

Thinking about this always makes me blush though...

Ah, enough of daydreaming now, Kaito has stepped in...

"Good Morning, Sir. Your schedule is quite packed today, so you better get to work."

In the middle of my work, I have a sudden need of coffee. I call out...

"Kaito, coffee please..."

Oh God!I accidentally said that! Is she gonna cry? Or will she beat me?

"The one that was poisoned, sir?!"

She's definitely angry.

"Well, there isn't any party though, I just thought if I could invite you out for a drink or something?"

"A drink?" She smiled in a very teasing manner. At least she did not remind me about the 'poisoned coffee'!

"Like... yeah. If you don't like that then how about dinner or something? If not today then...."

"Why do you think I would reject, ha? I think drink would be better than dinner."

Wow! She didn't say no!? She even smiled at me!? Why do I feel like a shoujo manga heroine here? She should have been the one to get the 'first time notice blush', right?

"Then, I'll pick you up from the office?"

"No, we'll go by a cab."

"Sure thing"

Okay.... so we're gonna go to the bar get drunk and will be able to talk a little. That's better.

I think if she's in a relationship or something, the guy would be younger. She must be the bus sister type. She may be dating someone, I'll ask today..... but how? If I go on saying, 'Kaito, are you dating someone?'

I want to say this but its gonna be super awkward if I say so. We get in the bar. Of course I'll try comparing it to some manga...

Now I realize, its my first time drinking alone with a girl. I was never alone with my sister too, while drinking. I'm not the kind of guy to get completely drunk outside... I think I should be dependable when drinking... like the one accompanying me can rely on me if he gets completely drunk...

Anyways, my intention here is not enjoying a drink, but to make the other person speak a little more than usual (but today, it would be the first informal talk we would have)...I want to know a lot of things, like why she has a boy's name, or why she dresses like this, and importantly, is she even straight? Not at all sure... I wanna know if she is single or not, what exactly its 'HER' type of guy....

Suddenly she asks "What did you want to talk about?"

What hell sort of teaching is that! If You're a man and your family is not rich, then its all your fault; only the man is to be blamed? This girl is so wierd, as if she is talking about some ancient dynasty. I sacrificed my 'manga-reading' time to talk about stereotypical and biased stuff..

" Isn't it normal? Only the sons of the family are heirs of the company.(hiccup) Daughters are married off, they may work but only the men are at higher positions..."

Yeah, its true. My sister cannot be the CEO because she won't have your our surname forever. Alas, its an irony...

Her phone is ringing. It reads Rin-chan. She is picking up.

" Are you drunk!? its so late now, it isn't safe at all. "
