It was summer holidays when i first met him. Or I guess it was more like I ran into him when I was lost in the deep forest. Back then i was only 7 or maybe 8 years old. I went to my uncle's home for vacation. I there was forest a forest called " The forest of the Gods". People rarely went there. there was a old shrine. I went to the forest because I curious, why does this people's are so scared to enter the forest. I unfortunately I got lost, and I started crying out loud for help.

After a while a man came. His face was hidden under a mask. He came and asked me with a rude voice "Hey you! What are you doing here? Don't you know that it's not a place where you can come?" Despite his word I ran into him to hug him, but everytime i was going near him he would only avoid me or shout at me ," Hey brat I am telling you don't come near me!"

And at last he bet me with a branch of a tree. And i finally stopped. He told me with a soft voice, " Don't come near me or touch me. If you touch me I will disappear. So keep your distance." All I did was stare at him and nod my head as i understood everything. But deep inside I didn't understand what he meant.

He helped me to get out from the forest. When he was showing me tha path out it looked like he knows this forest like the back of his hand. But we made it out of the forest and he told me," Walk ahead this path and you will find the way out. And don't come ba.." without listening to him I said " I will come back tomorrow to see you." and ran away.

On the way back I saw my uncle serching for me and when I went to him he beat me hard on my head and i started crying and I hugged him as tight as I could.

He took me home after and scold me why i went to the forest after he told me not to go there.

But I wanted to meet him again so I went to the forest again the next morning and I also took some snacks for him. I went to the gate and waited for him. I was expecting him to come and as expected he came and yelled at me , " Why are you here again? Didn't I told you to not to come here." I said , "I came to see you. Why are you yelling at me?" He said ," Do what ever you want but don't come near me and don't start crying if you get lost." Well that was rude. I followed him everywhere he went. And at last he asked me with a normal voice,"Why are you following me?" I said ,"I want to be your friend and nothing else." "OK" he reply. He showed me around here and there. In evening he told me to go home and he walked with at the gate of the when I was going out he called me out and asked my name I said," My name is Hotarou". And I also asked him his name but was not there anymore. After a while I heard his voice

"Its Gine."
