Chapter 1: Mate
It's 3 pm and sun blazing hot outside. The car just dropped Riven at his university dorm.
LarkSpur University.
Carson Court Male Dorm.
Riven wearing a white t-shirt and tucked neatly inside a beige slacks trousers with his round clear glass spec and sighing so much due to the hot weather and waiting for a guy he was told he will help him to his room.
I mean it's been an hour that Riven has been waiting for that mystery Housemaster, and he was starting to be agitated.
And...
The loud voices coming from the hallway that got his body worked up and not only the voice, but the scent, this scent that got his nose to start itching and something in him to get excited.
The scent it was getting stronger and stronger along with the voices.

His eyes widened to narrow when the two tall, broad and well sculpted guys just got exposed.
While his nose inhaling the masculine and earthy scent that making him to submit. His dominance was loud and bold.

"Mate," he mutters.

"Which room are you heading?" he smiles brightly and wide.
Riven remained mute and stunned. Riven did not come to university to look for a mate, and let alone a human mate for that matter - who looks like a player and straight.

Riven follows with a duffle bag, and side bag while Nico and Victor his best friend carrying four bags of Riven's.

"Understood," Riven say as he fixes his specs up.

"Good, do you need help with arranging your room?"

"Okay," Nico says with one last glance before shutting the door close.

Riven can now breathe.
Few hours after, Riven was done with his room arrangement and ready to hit a shower.
He strode out of his room and found two guys at the lounge room at the center as the building is square with four bedrooms, kitchen, lounge room and bathroom.
Three guys share one bathroom while the housemaster has his own in his room.

"Hi," Riven greets Titus because he's new to him.

Nico seemed agitated more than normal.
Confusing.

"Do you want to shower?" Nico asks because Riven has toiletry bag and towel in his hands.

"Yes," he answers while stealing glances at his mate.
But Riven told himself that he will behave and won't even try to show his interest or mate thing to Nico as he will be looking for a place to stay, far away from Nico.

"Follow me," Nico says as he stands up to his feet.
Titus - Nico best friend
"Huh?" Titus was shocked. "You never allow anyone to enter your room."

Riven's follow, but his heart was racing a marathon with legs being forced to walk.

"Here, this is my room, and you can use my bathroom freely," Nico's smile shouldn't be so bright And beautiful. and he shouldn't be so handsome either.

Riven admire how enormous the room was with the dark colour decorations. But the room was rather smaller to his room back home.
Nico he felt like he didn't want to leave his room. He felt a need to stay till Riven finishes.

"Fuck," he mutters and shake his head before heading out of his room to outside the square court.
He waits..... Pacing around at the lobby.
To him felt like an hour or so.
He stride inside the Square court and shit....
His jaws nearly dropped but he held them.

Chapter 2: Freshman Party
It's in the morning.
Riven had struggled to sleep.
After Nico leaving his room. Riven found his crotch solid rock and hissed to the fact that he had to help himself.
There was no way he was going to sleep while it was up and in needy of its Alpha.
Even though knowing helping himself won't do half of the work, but it would be better than leaving it like that.
Riven woke up to prepare himself as the party starts early.

He strode out in a quick.
He walked out but he felt like he needed something to eat first.
Riven walks inside a café and order a cream coffee with chocolate muffins and sits down on the available table then starts scrolling up and down on his phone screen.
Nothing interesting.
The freshmen party giving him strong knots.
Riven doesn't like being surrounded by many and has no friends.
45-minutes later, he was done.

"Do I really have to go?" he asks himself.

He arrived at the university stadium, where most are gathered with flyers, banners and tents of each faculty.
Riven looks around to find his faculty.

One of the senior lady gives them pamphlets and directs them to their faculty to explore it.
Riven and Gage walks together.

"So we'll be sharing classes?" Gage's voice it was sublime and genuine. Talking with smile worn on his face.

They walk inside their faculties and check each classes numbers and names, so they won't get lost at the time of the classes starts.

"I guess so," he's being honest.

"Can I be with you? I have no friends, or unless you mind."

"Okay, no pressure. We should go and buy things to eat before the party starts."
Riven and Gage bought snacks, drinks and fruits and found the whole university already packed.
Riven was happy that at least, he wasn't alone.
But no matter how happy he felt, his insides were not settled. He needed his Alpha near him, and also he did not want him to be near him.
Riven and Gage sits by the stadium benches.
Gage seemed starving, while Riven was eating a green apple.

"The Carson court and you?"

"I don't know most at the moment, but I will with time."
Hours went by while the two talking. Gage would do the talking and asking while Riven would answer to each question.

Nico stood right in front of Riven's eyes.

"Who's this?" Nico asks not even caring to glance at Gage.

Riven was mad at Nico for allowing that red hair to even touch him.

"Fuck, what's going?" Nico mumble and rubs his forehead with his fingers.

"Follow me," Nico says but more like an order.
Riven was battling with himself. He was extremely mad but his heat. His heat was in control plus the confidence the alcohol gave him it was enough to make him stand up.

"I'm coming back Gage, don't move," Riven order Gage.

Nico finds a secret spot under the shadow.

"Are you having fun?" he asks then sits down on the bench.

Luckily he was wearing a loose one.
Titus arrived to their sight.

Riven walked behind them.
Riven arrived and found Gage still drinking his first can of beer.

"I guess she's just drunk," Riven says gulping at the can he just opened.

An hour went by while the two friends staring at people getting drunk and dancing and having fun.
Riven loves how Gage he's talkative but cool also. Not a hyperactive person who will end up draining his energy.
Riven's eyes widened when Nico took a glance at him before picking up his girlfriend.
Riven pursed his lips aggressively. How dare he touch her? He thought.

"Oh, that's Magnus, the senior Slade Residence housemate and his friends," Gage says pointing at the hottest man.
Magnus has the white skin like Riven while Nico he's light peach.

Riven glance at him and gulp to his second beer can.
