I have never realized the fact that I am living in a novel which I had read in my past life till now. In my past life I spent my life in a hospital because of a deadly disease and died because of it too. I couldn't do anything rather than reading books or novels. That was my only entertainment. I had read too many stories. I don't even remember all of them now, and I guess because of it I couldn't understand till now I was actually in a novel. Furthermore, I am nor the female lead who lived a happy life and had a happy ending, I am a side character who died in the first chapter (actually was killed).

In short the novel is about a female lead who has to marry a man, but is in love with male lead (her boyfriend at that time). So she ran away with him and also got married to him. They had problems, however they work together and in the end they had a happy ending. Simply the novel was about their way of dealing with problems and their sweet love story. A rich girl from her birth - the female lead leaves her comfortable life because her love - the male lead.

I liked the story. Because it was impossible to see such a love story in real life. And now I realize that I am inside that story. The unfortunate is that I am not a character with a happy ending, I am destined to die. In the novel female lead had to marry a man because her younger sister ran away from marriage and on the way of running away she died. That was all in written in the novel. And I am the sister. Female lead's name is Abigail. Her sister's (my) name is Amelia. Amelia ran away from marriage because the man she has to marry is in vegetative state. She was just 19 years old girl. She wasn't smart, or she didn't know better. Furthermore, she graduated from high school.

She wasn't given chance to apply any colleges because her parents never cared for her nor pay attention to her. However, I lived a different life, I always wanted to be a surgeon, so I worked hard and got accepted into a great University. I was always too busy with my studies that I didn't give attention my parents favoritism towards my older sister or any other matters either.

I am a junior in the University now. And my parents told me yesterday evening that they fixed my marrige. They told me marriage will take place in one month. And we are going to meet with my in laws next week.

Thinking about the marriage it is just about finding a caretaker for their son in the name of wife. He was a smart, ruthless and mercyless CEO before the accident. And now he is in coma and doctors says that he is not going to wake up. But as long as I remember he will wake up and will cause big trouble for the male lead. Later he will die because of his illegal business that he get involved for taking his company back.

So I decided to marry him. It will be the safest and easiest way for avoiding death flag. I can get a divorce after he wakes up.

We are on the way to meet with my in laws. And we arrived at their mantion.

A butler greeted us, we went inside the mansion. Even just with that I can tell that two families are not going to have family relations with each other. They just need a girl would marry their son who is coma, and they are ready to pay for any price my father say. Worst part is I am just a thing to sell in my father's eyes and my mother does not have any problems with that. As long as it is not her favorite daughter she would not protest. She even said that I am lucky because the man I am going to marry will not live long and even if he lives as his "wife" I will live comfortable.

And here we are inside the big mansion of The Rothwells'. Grandfather Rothwell is not here. He is in their old mansion. And I see Linda Rothwell - mother, Ralph Rothwell - father, and there is another man I guess that he is an illegitimate son of Ralph Rothwell. As long as I remember his name must be Bryan. He is here to use his half-brother's absence to have the Rothwells' property. Because him in the future the Rothwells will face a lot of problems.

And Linda Rothwell my soon-to-be mother-in-law started the conversation.

-Hello Mr Morton, Mrs Morton, and you must be Amelia. Please make yourself comfortable. What would you like to drink?- She asked us.

While we were talking my father, Ralph, and Bryan Rothwell went to another room. I guess that they went to talk about how much money my father wanted, when should they send me to my "new home" or something like these.

We - my mother, Mrs Linda and I were drinking tea then the marriage topic came.

- We are planing to make this marriage official as soon as possible. Do you have anything to say about it?- Mrs Linda asked.

- You are right. There is nothing to wait. - My lovely mother didn't even look at me when she answered the question.

-Good then. If you don't mind I want to talk to your daughter who is my soon-to-be daughter in law alone for a little time. I have something to ask and tell her.- Mrs Linda said. It didn't seem like a suggestion, it was more like she just wanted to inform my mother.

-Of course. - My mother answered.

-Come after me Amelia.- Mrs Linda led the way.

We went to the second floor, entered a room, and there I saw a man who was lying on the bed. Looks like I met my soon-to-be husband earlier than I thought. He didn't look like he is in coma. It was more likely he was sleeping. His name is Ethan. He is 26 years old now, and before the accident he was really well-known person especially among the girls. He was also a successful businessman whom everyone admired his intelligence.

-Amelia, before the marriage I want to talk to you. I know that you have different things in your mind. You are young. So tell me what was your plan if there was not these all.- Ms Linda asked.

-Actually if you want me to be honest. Yes, I had a different plan. I am a University student right now. I have finished my first year. There was not a marriage in my mind. But I think if I can continue my studies then I am good with it.- I said.

- It is good that you are in a University, and I support that you continue your studies. But I think it is better to attend your classes online at first. Later we will discuss it again. So in this house you will take of the things related to my son - your future husband. He has caretakers, nurses and a personal doctor. So it will not be too hard for you. But I want you take care of him personally too. As a wife it will be your duty. I assume that your parents are not going to ask you about your thoughts about the date that we will make official the marriage. But I want to ask you how much time do you need to be ready for this marriage?- she spoke kindly.

- I think one week is enough and thank you.- I answered with a smile.

- Good then I will take care of it. By the way call me mother. If you have questions then ask, I will answer them. - she said.

- How is his health now? - I asked the thing that I really wanted to know.

- Doctors say that he can wake up, but the chance is too low, and even if he wakes up there is a chance that he will not be able to walk or at least it will take time. - She looked like she is about to cry.

- I understand. I am sorry...- I did not know what else to say.

- Let's go back. - She led the way.

I am in my room in the that I will leave in a week and I wish that I will never return here again. It will be a good way to severe ties with my lovely family at least. So the wedding will not take place. I only have to sign a marriage contract, and it will be all. I will be living with my husband who is in coma and there will not be anyone else other than a few nurses and servants. It shouldn't be that hard. I already handled the things with my University, so I will be attending classes online. I have done too much to give up on my dreams right now. After a week I will be living with a new routine.

- Amelia, come here. We have matters to discus - my mother called. I can say confidently that the matters are about the marriage contract and what they want me to do while being married. Good thing is they do not have the power to make me their puppet.

I go downstairs and see that whole family is waiting for me. Weird thing is that my elder sister looks like she is guilty or something, which means whatever it is, it is not good. I sit and wait for them tell the reason why they called me here.

-We want you to know that even if you are still part of the family, and you are to be loyal to us. The man you are to married cannot even be considered alive like this. So I want you to remember that you only have us. And we are your parents which means you are to do as we say and want.

- What exactly you want me to do? - If I want to do the things as I want I have to wait a little so while they think that I am their puppet I will be far more away from here.

- It is simple, when you marry, we have a good deal with your in lows and while you are married when we need any kind of help from them, you are the one who is going to ask and even more with your new title as his wife you, yourself are going to help us. - My father says. I expected it, so it was not that surprising after all. Although he has nothing over me to have a way to control me. He is really naive sometimes, I guess stupidity is very likely part of his character. You can not expect too much from a man who destroyed his business several times over the years. Only reason he could still have it now is his smart father who knew his son is good for nothing, his younger brother who died tragically at young age and left too many assets and my mother's father who loved her dearly and wanted her to live good.
