AOT: A Dark Knight (Levi X Reader)
That Night.
In the year 1350, a king ruled over the Kingdom Of Fyn, the largest land among the others. I, (Y/N) am a low class who works double the work. To support my family.
During a dark night, I ran through between two buildings. My heart was beating more than ever and I could hear it from my chest.
I was scared… scared of what was going to happen if I stopped running.
Two men were chasing me from behind as I screamed for help. I only wanted to get groceries since we ran out low. I couldn't get them earlier in the day because I was busy washing the clothes.
“Come here, little girl!” A man from the back said with a smirk on his face.
Unfortunately, in the end, there was no escape, there was no place to go next. The only thing I could do was pray for the gods.
I shouted but they only laughed.
The next thing I knew, one man fell on the ground. There behind…stood a man I had never seen before.
Wearing a mask to cover his face, a long black cape, and black gloves, as he held a sword that was covered in blood.
The other man screamed and ran off but the masked man grabbed his collar, pulling him back…with no hesitation killing him in front of me.
I didn't know who I was more scared off, the men or the masked man.
With no words, the masked man jumped wall to wall to get on the roof and left.
And so from that day, I had believed in the rumors.
A masked man who only appears at night to save those in danger. Few people have seen him and I was one of them…now.
Will I ever see him again?
Everyone stood outside the doors to meet the king and the prince walking down the streets to be gifted by people.
It always happens every once a month.
Walking beside his servant, Furlan Church.
Every time I looked at him, he seemed more and more sad.
Maybe its just me assuming things.
Y/N
…look, didn't I tell you he looks defeated or something?
Both of us face the prince but this time he glimpses in my direction. Quickly my head looked down, to show my respect.
As I lifted my head again, he now passed by me looking ahead.
Mom
I think any prince would be overwhelmed with the power he will take after his father.
When the afternoon came, I came to visit my friend Eren.
Eren
Did you see the king?
Eren
I wouldn't be surprised if people are already assuming things.
Y/N
My mother couldn't see it.
Eren
Then he hides it well.
Y/N
No, it's not that Eren. My mother said any prince would feel overwhelmed by the responsibility he will be carrying next.
Eren
That makes more sense.
Eren
Do you want to sneak closer to the castle?
Y/N
We can't be doing that.
Y/N
It’s far too dangerous!
Eren
…I know but don't you want to see the castle closer to you?
Y/N
I think anyone wants to…but…
Eren
Is not like we are going in. They can't do anything.
I had no option but to follow him.
After I followed him, we both stopped at the gates as the guard knight guarded the entrance.
Knights
Do you two have business with the king?
The knight gently pushed Eren aside.
Y/N
We can still look. See.
I actually haven't even told Eren about the night I met the masked man. Eren is so fascinated by him and wants to meet him.
Maybe I’ll tell him later today.
I looked up at the castle and saw someone coming from the balcony.
Y/N
Look, the prince's servant.
Eren
You know, I always wonder how it feels to walk inside a castle.
Just then the servant looked down to see two people staring at him.
Y/N
Yeah, we should walk away before he starts assuming.
We both slowly turned around I hit myself against someone. There- the prince stood in front of me.
My face change drastically.
I was so embarrassed and scared that got down on my knees apologizing.
Slowly the prince walked passed by me not saying a word but my eyes couldn't keep off of his for that moment I bumped into him.
It felt like I met that similar look before.
As Levi walked ahead, he looked over his shoulder to have his last glance at Y/N. Slowly he turned back and continued inside the gates.
Eren
…for a moment I thought he was going to hang us.
Prince Levi
Actually, wait.
Both Eren and I turned back to see the prince stepping in closer.
Prince Levi
I need to ask something.
What could he possibly want?
