" Did you see that girl who passed by?" , one of the neighborhood aunties pointed at me.

" No, Who is she?" , replied the other.

" She is the only daughter of Celina Roberts, who has an estrangements with her husband."

" Poor girl, with no father's love and protection."

" Who knows why they were alienated?, Her mother must have done something bad, so they might have got separated."

" They say Like Mother like Daughter".

" Better tell our children to stay away from this kid. Such a bad influence."

Having to hear these kind of words daily is really irritating. The actual truth is that my mother found that my father is having an affair when I was two year old and hence took me in her arms and left the family, so that I am not influenced by his character.

My mother is independent, strong and proud women who doesn't tolerate injustice and hence will not stay with a man who has low character.

Hence she resumed her studies and joined to job.

Right now I am leaving with my maternal grandparents and uncles. Though my grandfather is very strict, he still won't accept his only daughter being treated like that. And hence brought us home and helped mother to study further.

Though my mother staying in parents house has a bad impression on family but fortunately everyone is tolerant about it. I was also admitted to a prestigious school to study as my first uncle was very keen to join me there. It seems, it was his dream school but unfortunately he couldn't study there due to financial issues. So, he joined me here and said

" Mia, this is a very good school. Work hard and study here. I couldn't join here, but you can."

The truth is that, to join the school, parents should be a degree holder and should pass the test conducted by the school before admission. And the fee is also bit higher than other school because it is said that the have good quality education. And only children of high society can study there.

I got mesmerized by the vast area the school was built in. It had big play grounds, huge classrooms, large library and sufficient number of teachers. With rich history and cultural background, the school had a great reputation at the time. But the grass is greener on the other side.

After all the rigorous procedure for admission, I joined to the school with my own expectations. Then came the first day of the school, I was really excited to meet new people and make friends because my neighbourhood was mess. But alas, whenever we are rumours follow. With same old question ' Where is your father? And why he doesn't live with you?'.

The first day of school went without any rucks,I introduced myself to the class and everything went by when sun came down, but heavy bags and lots of homework were a big burden.

Suddenly while returning home, "Oh! No, how can this happen? What a rotten luck!....
