This is originally a work by Maddie who used to be a writer on this app
But due to the circumstances she is unable to continue this story and her two others
So i, as a close friend of hers will be taking over the flow and continuation of this story
My first story on this account "Now What"
Is supposed to be the story of the character of this story
Elaina's parents, her best friend's parents and everyone else's story will be explained in Eirene's POV in my story
Maddie didn't really have that many views to begin with and neither do i
But I'm doing this explanation just in case or for future references
I hope the story intrigues new and more readers
That will be all for the explanation part
It is strongly advised that new readers who have stumbled upon this chat story read the first few chapters from Maddie
(They were pretty cringe, but they give every little detail and so it's easier to understand )
This will be a simple continuation
Episode 69: This body
Continuation from last episode~
Elaina and Marco were driving back home
The city was buzzing despite how dark the sky was
Sign boards and billboard light up the roads as cars and motorcycles race by
Elaina releases a content sigh as she looks out the car window
Marco glances at her, sensing his wife in a happy mood

Is Atlas that great
Elaina Black
Hmm.. I wouldn't know
Elaina Black
But at least I've found him

... You know you could've asked me right?

I'm much faster and much more efficient

*chuckles* Love that confidence *turns to him*
Marco June
*smIle* What can I say, i'm just amazing

Let's quickly get hom, i'm still sleepy

Even after all that napping you did in the cabin?

*awkward smile*
They soon reach they're home and they enter to find all the servants grreting them with a happy smile
They smile back and quickly settle down for the night
Elain picks up her phone as she sits down on the bed
Marco was still in the bath so she swept through some online documents from her father's company
Not soon after the door to the bathroom opened and the wet footsteps could be heard
Marco leaned over Elaina's head and whispered

Working on the documents?

I thought I told you to leave these things to me *runs his hands down both her bare arms*

*shivers* stop, your hands are cold
With a low chuckle, Marco moves his hands to her waist instead and rests his chin on her head

What are you so worried about anyway
Marco June
*sIgh* i just don't want to see you working so hard
Marco June
I just want you to be stress-free for all eternity *kisses her head*

But i'm not looking to be some sort of trophy wife

*sigh* that's a shame

Though.... How's the gift coming along?

*suddenly remembers* "Shıt"

I hope you haven't forgotten your promise

Of course not, it's just in the middle of preparation

*turns to him*

And you wouldn't want to rush an unfinished product, would you?
With a charming face, Elaina reaches her hands behind Marco's head and rests them on his shoulder
Cocking her head to a side, she smiles sweetly
Bewitched by her looks, Marco takes some time to speak back

*clears his throat* Must be a big surprise huh?

Don't expect less from me
Slowly they lean closer and closer to each other until their lips were only inches apart
Elaina lifts her head a bit as Marco places his thumb over her bottom lip
Only for second as Elaina suddenly realizes Marco is only wearing his robe
His wet hair glued to his forehead still dripping with water
She suddenly pushes him and he stumbles backwards, confused

Why are you only wearing a robe *flustered*
Marco June
Come on, you've seen my body before!
Elaina Black
No I haven't "At least not in this life"

Just ho wear some clothes
Marco June
But you do realize you're gonna have to become ysed to seeing this body in the future right?

Just go! *throwws a pen at him*
Episode 70: Win
Marco steps out of the closet to see Elaina back on her phone, leaning on the headboard with her legs outstretched
Marco June
"Fuck it.. I can't stand this anymore..."
He slowly makes his way to his wife on the bed watching her closely as her fingers move across her phone
A few steps to almost reaching the bed, and he notices the anxious expression on his wife'd face
All the excitement he felt in his body disappeared in a second
Not wanting to worry or scare her in any way, he stops in front of the bed and looks down at her
His head hung to a side, his hair still wet
Hands in the pocket of his sweatpants, he clears his throat and opens his mouth just as a laughter could be heard
The voice of his wife echoed in their shared room
Her left hand slowly fists in front of her mouth, her eyes shut and a large smile plastered on her face
Heaving a sigh of relief Marco speaks

What's so funny?
Finally, she notices her husband
Her head lifts up and looks at him with the happiest look on her face

Oh, it's just something Levy said
Marco June
*frown* You're talking to that girl again?
Elaina Black
*chuckles* Who else would i talk to?
Marco June
*sits on the bed*

You can talk to me

Anything, right?
Marco reaches for her leg and strokes it softly
The crimson creeps into her cheeks and she looks away from his gaze

Why not we talk about someone?
Marco watches closely as the color from her face fades
Her happy smile fades away and the fingers holding the phone tightens

"She knows exactly who i'm going to ask about"

"That goddamned Jackson Mune..."

But if you're not comfortable with that, we could talk about something else

I have nothing to say
She turns back to her phone, her eyes furrowed and hands slightly trembling
Marco faces forward, away from her and sighs
His jaw clenches, his fists tightening

"What the fūck even happened"

I should've never left the country

*glances to him*

Whatever happened to you happened because of me

*scoffs* Yet even after i came back i let you go through the ridicule of my incompetence

Elaina reaches for his clenched fist and strokes ut gently
She leans forward, her legs now bent

Hus jaw clenches tighter, a tick forming
Elaina stares at his furious expression

"Why is he so angry out of no where..."
Looking down she finally decides to give in to him

He further turns away from her, seemingly trying to hide his expression from her

Her grip on his arm tightens as she stares at him
She couldn't come up with an answer
Was i supposed to trust him?
His painful expression was finally revealed to Elaina
She immediately holds his face, moving closer to him
Nervously shaking her head she utters the same words

His eyes wondering the walls around them
She tries to forcefully turn his face towards her and yet his strength could not be overtaken
She gives up dejectedly and leans her head on his arm

Squeezing her arms he sighs again
