Skye was terrified, she couldn't understand what was happening. Her eyes darted around the room, looking for any escape, but she knew there was none. She had parked at the mall and was just going to run in to get a few things when a hand had covered her mouth and another wrapped around her waist and dragged her off. She was blind folded in the car and driven somewhere and now she sat in a luxurious bedroom being told, she had a debt to pay for her brother.
He reached up and traced the outline of her jaw, his touch gentle and teasing "You're a pretty little thing." His voice was low, husky, with a hint of a growl, while his gaze travelled over her face and down her body. "I'm going to enjoy extracting my payment from you."
She felt her skin crawl as he stroked her cheek. The words he spoke made her stomach turn.
"Please...... don't hurt me." She whispered, her voice barely audible.
A cold smirk curls on his lips, "You're going to pay for your brother. But don't worry, I don't intend to hurt you much."
Skye shuddered at his words, shranking back her breath catching in her throat, as she tried to pull away, but his grip was too tight. "Why should I be the payment for what my brother owes?"
His eyes narrowed as he leaned in, his breath hot against her skin, "Your brother has been a bad boy and his actions has consequences. He's borrowed a lot of money and hasn't been able to pay it back." His voice was low and menacing. "So now it's up to you, I'll have to punish you for it. "
Skye pulled herself back to the present, looking down at the little bundle sleeping in her arms, feeling a sense of sadness and guilt. He was so young, innocent, and unaware of the world around him. It was painful to see his features reflected in the baby. She traced her son's soft hair with her fingers, her eyes filling with tears. She didn't want to think about what he had done to her, but the memories still haunted her. She kissed the baby's forehead gently and then gazed at him with sadness again. He'd be a constant reminder of the man who had caused her so much pain and misery.
Skye closed her eyes, focusing on her breathing. She had to stay strong for her son, she couldn't let her past define her future. It was time to move on and focus on creating the life she wanted for herself and her child. She had an interview tomorrow and had spent the past few days preparing for it. She was feeling confident about her chances and was determined to make a good impression and secure the job.
Her current job was okay, but it wasn't enough to support her and her son. She needed something that was more stable and had better benefits. She was ready for a change, and she hoped that the interview would lead to something better.
Skye pulled up to the building after dropping her son off at the daycare. She parked her car and took a deep breath. She was feeling a little nervous, but she was also excited for the opportunity to show what she could do. She got out of the car and walked towards the entrance.
She stepped through the doors and was greeted by a receptionist, who directed her to the waiting room. She took a seat and waited for her turn to be called, trying to calm her nerves as she waited. Skye took a deep breath and tried to focus on her breathing. She knew that she needed to be confident and put her best foot forward in the interview.
After a few minutes, the receptionist called her name and told her to go to room 302. She stood up and walked to the room, taking a deep breath as she did so. Reaching for the door, she knocked gently, waiting for the person inside to answer. She straightened her clothes and smoothed her hair, trying to look as composed as possible. A deep voice called for her to come in and she opened the door and stepped into the room.
She walked inside and saw the man sitting behind a large desk, who she assumed was the person that would be inerviewing her.
"Have a seat Ms Harper." She felt her heart skip a beat at the sound of his voice. It was deep, smooth and commanding. The type of voice you'd want to hear over and over. As she sat, his presence behind the desk seemed to fill the room with an intense energy. Her breath caught in her throat as she took in his appearance. Skye couldn't help but notice how incredibly handsome he was. Dark eyes and chiseled jawline were enough to make any woman's heart flutter. She tried to stay focused on the interview, but it was difficult with him sitting there.
"You're applying for the job of executive secretary?"
She swallowed nervously, "Yes, I am. I have experience working as an executive assistant, and I believe that my skills would be an asset to your company. I'm confident in my abilities and eager to get started."
Destin nodded, impressed by her confidence and enthusiasm. He could tell that she was a hard worker and would be a valuable asset to his company. However, he also senses a deep sadness behind her eyes, that was difficult to ignore.
Skye kept her composure as she listened to his feedback and answered his questions. She was glad that he was impressed by her skills and personality. It was important to make a good impression, and she felt like she had done a good job so far. She was excited for the opportunity to prove herself in this new role.
Destin leaned back in his chair, studying her carefully. She was a good-looking woman with a bright smile and a friendly demeanor, but there was something about her that seems......off. He can't quite put his finger on it, but there's a sadness in her eyes.
She saw the curiosity in his eyes.
He notices the uncomfortable look on her face, mixed with the sadness in her eyes and his curiosity grows. He couldn't help but wonder what could be causing her to feel that way. He leans forward, his voice gentle and understanding. Is everything alright? You seem......distracted.
Skye hesitated for a moment, not sure how to respond. She didn't want to come across as rude or unprofessional, but she took a deep breath and looked up at him. "I'm sorry, it's nothing. I just have some things on my mind." She saw the curiosity in his eyes which made her feel more uncomfortable. She tried to change the subject, wanting to distract him from his curiosity. "So when would you require the person to start working?"
Destin considered the question for a moment, then nods. "I'm looking for someone who can start immediately. I need someone to take on a lot of responsibility, so I need someone who can hit the ground running. You've got the job if you can start right away. As early as tomorrow?"
Her eyes widened in surprise as she heard him offer her the job on the spot, but she didn’t want to waste any time. "I can start right away. Tomorrow is perfect." She smiled, feeling excited and relieved at the same time. This was the opportunity she had been hoping for.
He smiled, pleased with her response. Destin liked how she was eager and willing to get started right away. It was exactly the kind of attitude he was looking for in an employee. She seemed like the perfect canidate for the job and he was glad he offered the position to her. He reached across the table and offered her his hand. "Welcome to the team." His grip was firm and confident, but there was a hint of warmth in his eyes.
Skye took his hand and shook it firmly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad that the interview went well and that she was able to secure the position. She feels excited about the opportunity to start working for him, and she was looking forward to making a good impression on her first day. She smiled back at him, her eyes meeting his.
Destin lets go of her hand and leans back in his chair, his expression thoughtful. We'll see you at 8am sharp. That should give you plenty of time to get settled in and familiarize yourself with the office. Does that work for you?
She nods her head. "Yes, that works perfectly. It was a pleasure meeting you, I'll see you tomorrow morning." Skye stands up, feeling confident and excited for her new role.
He smiles, standing up as well impressed with her attitude. Destin could tell that she'd be an asset to his team. He gets up and walks her to the door, holding it open for her. I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.
She nods and gives him a quick wave before leaving.
Destin watched her go, a feeling of satisfaction washing over him. He was pleased with the way the interview went and confident that she'll make a great addition to the team. However there was one other reason he chose her. She had a certain aura about her, besides her alluring beauty and charm. There was something about sky that intrigued him.
