Chapter 1
Michael was looking at the trending news and his eyebrows were furrowed.
Then Daniel came inside with coffee. He knocked on the door two times and went inside.
He was placing the coffee cup in table, while he saw what written in the news.

Daniel saw his half brother's photo in Michael's phone. Michael noticed Daniel had his eyes on the phone.

What are you looking at?
Michael asked in frustration.
Daniel quickly walked away and was leaving the room.
Michael Roberts
If only you hadn't came in between, we would have married. Don't you feel guilty?
Daniel gripped on the tray and went out biting his lips and hiding the tears in the corner of his eyes.

📞Hi Jowan. How are you?
Michael Roberts

Hearing the reason, Michael gripped on his phone.

Michael cut the call and went downstairs.
He saw Daniel who was arranging the dining table. All the anger he had came rushed in.

Daniel wasn't even walking, his legs were getting dragged in the floor.
Finally, Daniel got threw on the bed.
Michael closed the door, and unbuttoned his shirt.
Daniel was covered in s**** and blood. His body was filled with hi*keys and bite marks.

CAN'T YOU JUST STOP THIS CRYING? YOU ARE SAID TO BE MUTE, THEN WHY ARE YOU MAKING SOUND? HUH? *grabbed his cheek*
Daniel was a mess. His n*ked body was barely covered with the blanket.
Michael took the cigarette and began to smoke.
Michael continued smoking without caring about Daniel.
Daniel who had asthma, couldn't help but to slowly get out of the bed, trying to cover himself with the blanket and go outside. He was limping as he walked.
Michael looked at his helplessness and a smirk came automatically.
Michael slowly went outside too, only to find Jowan.
Michael saw Jowan was looking at Daniel, who was on the floor.
Daniel tried to get up, only to fell down once again.

Didn't you say you don't love him?
Jowan Baker
No need to explain. You have already touched him, if I didn't saw it today I might have thought you were telling the truth about having only me in your heart. Now, I know everything, I was only being a fool. *sad chuckle*
Saying this Jowan quickly went outside wiping his eyes.
Michael felt as his heart shattering and once again it was caused by this guy.
Michael Roberts
Why don't you just die?
Michael said in anger and walked out, following Jowan.
Chapter 2
Michael returned at night.
When he opened the door, he was welcomed by darkness, and it was the first time.
Even if Michael returned very late, he would find the lights turned on and Daniel waiting for him. Sometimes he even found Daniel on the couch dozing off.
Michael turned on the lights and loosened his shirt buttons and rolled up his sleeves.
He washed his hands and went to the dining table. He haven't had any food since the morning and he was starving for the first time in his life. Usually, Daniel would sent food over to the company for Michael, but today he didn't.
Michael Roberts
*knocks on the table two times*
Daniel would come running and serve food, when Michael does this. But this time it was different.
Michael Roberts
*furrowed eyebrows*
Impatiently, Michael opened the platters only to find them empty.
Michael Roberts
*knocks of the plate*
The porcelain plates, hit strong on the ground and shattered.
There was no response even after minutes passed.
Michael furiously stood up from his seat and went to the kitchen, only to find it empty. The vegetables were on the top of the kitchen counter and it was already peeled.
Suddenly a strange feeling aroused in Michael's heart and he quickly ran to the bedroom.
There he found Daniel, on the bed, with closed eyes.
Michael Roberts
You're sleeping, leaving me starving, huh?
Michael was furious and he pulled the blanket away.
But the person didn't show any movements.
Michael started to shake him.
Michael Roberts
Wake up. Cook for me. Don't tell me you have gone deaf too.
However, Daniel didn't show any signs of waking up.
Michael had his confusions as he slowly put his finger in front of Daniel's nose only to find he wasn't breathing.
Michael fell down in shock. He didn't know how to face this situation. He stood up and tried to feel the pulse in his wrist, but he couldn't.
Michael quickly picked up Daniel and went to the car.
Michael Roberts
You don't have the rights to die.
Michael face was darkened.
He drove as fast as he could to the hospital.
For the first time Michael was feeling his much anxious and scared, for Daniel. His heart was beating heavily as the time went.
Michael Roberts
How is he doctor.
Doctor
Sorry, he is no more.
Michael's legs gave away and he fell back to the chair.
Doctor
Nurse, quickly come here!
Michael heard the doctor call out as he slowly lost his consciousness.
Chapter 3
Michael suddenly woke up.
Michael found Jowan, who was sitting near the hospital bed and was looking at him with sympathy.
Michael Roberts
Jerome.. Jerome, come inside.
As he heard Michael calling for him, Jerome came inside.
PA Jerome
Yes Mr. Roberts.
Michael Roberts
I want to see him.
Jowan went forward to help Michael stand up, but Michael turned his hand away. With the help of Jerome, he slowly walked outside.
Jowan was taken aback by Michael's actions. He was stunned, it was the first time Michael kept his distance with Jowan. An unknown fear spread in Jowan's heart.
Standing in front of the mortuary, Michael was unable to move.
He only had to go inside to see Daniel, for one last time. But standing at the entrance of the mortuary, Michael had a change of plan.
Michael Roberts
Give him a proper burial.
Saying this he turned to leave.
PA Jerome
Mr. Roberts are you sure you don't want to see his face for the last time?
Michael stayed quiet for sometime, and nodded a yes.
Jowan who had followed Michael and Jerome, didn't go back. He went inside.
Daniel and Jowan, who were born to the mistress and the Madame, had strange things in common. Their faces resembled each other very much.
Jowan slowly caressed Daniel's face.

I'm sorry, I know you have suffered a lot but that doesn't mean you can take my man away. I let it go only because you're my half brother and went abroad when you made Michael marry you after framing him for sleeping with you. But now you're no longer alive, I want to take him back. I really feel sorry for you. If only my father hadn't cheated and you weren't born as my half brother, I might have stood by your side and supported you. But fate had other plans.

Saying this Jowan went outside.
