"I hate that school!" I yelled at the phone.

"Sweetie, you need to return to school. You promised me that you'll change," mom said gently from the other line.

"Well, I already forgotten about that promise. Forget it. I'll just quit school. I wont return to that hell," I yelled again.

"Damn it, Alyxia! You're such a pain in the ***! Your mom and I are worrying on how we'll send you money all the way to city A, but you just waste them on your bllshts?!" I could here dad snatched the phone from mom.

"Suspension is suspension, old man. Don't worry, I'll do my best, so next time I'll be already expelled!" I throw my phone to my bag and continue my driving. This time my driving's speed is doubled though I'm driving in the middle of the night, which is dangerous to drive at that speed.

"I hate this life!" I shouted as I stepped harder on the gas resulting to extrem driving.

As I drive as fast as I could possibly do. I simply didn't notice the cliff I'm heading towards to. But my stubborn self didn't bother pulling the breaks. Instead let my car crash and fall down.

"See you in hell, dad," I said before I loose conscious.

I can feel the sunlight touches my skin but my eyes didn't bother to open. But wait, there's no sun in hell or maybe it is the heat of the fire and satan is already calling me.

"Wake up, child," said by an unfamiliar voice.

I was alarmed and hurriedly open my eyed and fixed myself.

"Who are you?" I asked as I saw an old man smiling at me.

"I must be the one who's questioning you. You are inside my territory, child. How did you get here and why are you sleeping there," he asked gently. I looked around and all I can see are tall trees and a massive gate infront of me.

"Sorry, old man. But I had an accident last night. I fall from that cliff while I'm driving," I said while pointing at a direction. But I cannot see a cliff, even my car. All in sight were tress. Just plain tall trees and a huge gate.

"I can't any trees, child. You must be tired and can't think straight. Why not come inside and have some tea," he offered. Though he is gentle, but did he just insulted me. Me? Does not think straight? Ican clearly remember that I fall down from a cliff, or did I? Oh forget it.

"Come, child," he said and he open the massive gate with only one hand, like it only weighed a few pounds.

"HOLY FLIP!"

"Welcome to my school, child. Welcome to Acability, academy of abilities!" he said proudly.

"This is a school?!" I asked but why is it empty. I can't see a single student wondering around.

"Oh why of course," he gently laughed as we walked towards his office.

"This is one big school, and what do you mean by academy of abilities?" I asked.

"You'll figure that out later. So tell me, would you like to enroll to my school? I can see that you're having trouble with your dad," he said with a smirk.

"How did you know that?" I asked with a hint of fear. This old man is starting to creep me out.

"No more questions, child. Let me change the question. Do you want to prove to your family that you're better than what they expect or be a loser and wait for nothing in hell?" he asked seriously but with gentle laugh.

"Oh heck yeah, I want to prove them that I can. They always look down on me. I want to slap that old man with my golden diploma hahahaha!" I said proudly.

"That's the spirit, child," he smiled and open his office and let me sit on one of the chairs

"So how am I going to pay for my fees?" I asked.

"There's no fees, child. Just simply pass the exam child and you'll do fine. I can see potential within you," he said while playing with his swivel chair.

"What exam? Ever since I was an elementary student I always fail at good morals exams," he laughed as I said that.

"No need to worry, I know that you'll do fine, "

"Oh heck yeah, I'll do my best! So where will I take this test?"

"Over there, child" the old man said as he pointed to a desk with only a paper and a pen on it.

"There?" I asked.

"Yeah, go ahead" he said with a smile.

"Fine," I said and sat on the chair.

"Let me finish this piece of cake in a minute," I said boastfully.

"Hahaha, take your time, child" the old man said.

"Do you love fantasy related games and book? "

What kind of question is that?

Well I wrote the word "Yeah". I think I read a lot of fantasy stories when I was a kid.

As I wrote my answer the question and my answer vanished and was replaced by another question.

"Woah. That's cool," I said full of amusement.

I continued to answer a bunch of questions until there was one question that really took my attention.

"What is your ability?"

"What is my ability? Like ability to dance, sing or what?" I asked the old man.

"The questionnaire meant was ability, like magic powers you posses," he explained.

"What? That sounds stupid,"

I just simoly didn't care and wrote my answer "Dunno" . It's quite funny cause the questionare accepted my answer. Then it vanished in the thin air.

"What's next? I'm done answering those questions, though it took me half an hour,"

"Aren't you gonna question me, child? For all this happenings, like the questions are all about magic, the questionnaire suddenly vanished. Aren't you curious?" the old man said.

"Nope" I answered straight.

"Aye" he said with frustration.

Suddenly, there's a piece of paper float towards the old man from nowhere.

"Here's the results of your exam, child" he said and I felt excitement within me.

"Do you want to read it yourself?" he asked.

"Yeah!" I said excitedly.

"Congratulations Alyxia White, you passed the exam." I read. Sweet, I passed. Though I merely answered the questions seriously.

"Congrats you passed as a mage." I continued.

"What? A mage?" I asked confusedly.

"Yes child. And you are the very first female mage," he said excitedly.

"What mage?" I asked again.

"Oh so now you're gonna question me about these happenings," he said with a smirk.

"Just answer me, old man" I said as I rolled my eyes

"This is Acability. School of magic. Academy of abilities. Every student here possess magic powers, which we call ability. Students here are divided into categories. The fairies, Wizards (for boy) and Witches (for girls), and the mage. Every year we held a competition within the different categories of students. The contest is called "Festival of Magic" which every students perform magic and the most favour part of the festival is the magic duel, where students have a... duel of course. For the last few years, the mages always win and they topped the ranking of students. So students here respect them the most. Every student category has their leader, which they call themselves lady or lord. That's the few informations about Acability. I'll be giving you a book all about Acability, including it's histort and rules here. So are you ready child?" He said with his famous smile.

"Wait... Can you repeat all you have said. There's a huge earwax inside my ear that affected my hearing. Luckily I got it out," I said with a smile.

"Aye" he said with frustration and pressed his nose bridge.

"Good morning students" Stefan said. Which is the old man earlier.

When he repeated his explanation, I understood my destiny. I was awakened to continue my life and make a new start here at Acability. Now, all the students are assigned to attend this ceremony which is held inside a huge hall. Since I am a new student, everyone are looking at me. Some are curious and questionend, while some are disgusted for some reason.

"We have a new student today. I would like to introduce you all to Alyxia White" he said and gave me sign to climb up the stage despite of the crowd surrounding me.

"What? There's a new student?" one of the students whispered.

"Is she the new student? That's why she looks so unfamiliar," the other said until the hall was filled with everyone's whispers and murmurs.

"Come here, Alyxia," said Stefan and I had no choice but to awkwardly walk infront of all these people.

"As she took her exams, I am proud to say that she passed. And all of you won't believe that she is the very first female mage here at Acability," that announcement silenced the crowd. Everyone are shocked. Is being a mage really a big deal?

"No. Way"

"Are you kidding me"

"I've took that test for a thousand times, but I always fail to be a mage"

For a split second, the hall was filled once again with murmurs.

"Silence!" Stefan yelled and again everyone shut up.

"Prove it! Show us your ability!" one yelled and everyone started chanting the word "prove it"

Holy flip. I forgot all about this ability thing. I forgot that I don't have one. So why did I passed as a mage?

"You're nothing but a muggle!"

"Yeah right. The result must be mistaken. A muggle cannot be a mage. I can't believe that she out ranked us"

"She is not ready, dear students. For now, she is confused and doesn't know her true potential. I believe that one day, she'll prove to you all that she isn't a muggle, but a powerful and responsible mage. That's all for today, students. You may now be dismissed" he said and I can't believe that he told them that. What is his problem?

"We came here for nothing"

"Yeah right "

"What did you said infornt of them?! Are you nuts? Now everyone's gonna hate me. Now tell me, how can I get this ability? So that I can prove to them that I am worthy to be a mage" I said full of frustration.

"You don't simply get an ability. Because it's been inside you the whole time. It just take time to awaken your powers. Be patient, child" Stefan said. Still, I'm too impatient for that.

"Whatever. How can I ever face your students?"

"Just be yourself, child. I know that they'll love you just the way you are" he said gently.

"Stop that typical love story cliches. They'll hate me" I said. I can't control my emotions.

"I know you can, child" instead of giving courage and hope. I just find his words annoying. With full of disrespect, I left him without a word.

As I went to the office to get my room's keys, people are looking at me weirdly as always.

"Here's your key, miss White. Your room is room 159 in the witches' department, building 5. Since you are the only female mage, we decided to put you with the witches. We cannot put you in the same room with boys surrounding you, " the lady chuckled.

"Your roomates are miss Clair, rank 15 in the witches department and miss Reign, rank 10 in the witches department," she said and lend me the keys.

"Quick! The female mage is arriving. Clean the room, Reign!" I could hear someone's panicked voice inside the room. Their actions made me chuckle. So someone here are valuing me.

"Hello," I greeted shyly.

"Welcome, great female mage," she said with a matching courtesy. The girl who I assume was named Clair.

"Please don't call me that. My name is Alyxia. Nice to meet you all," I said awkwardly as I lend my hand.

"My name is Clair, Clair Blaze. And this is Reign, Reign Gale," she smiled and accepted my hand. Same with Reign.

"I hope that we'll get along well," I said while fixing my stuff

"Don't worry, we believe that you're a worthy mage. If someone bullies you, we got your back and punch their ***," Clair said while clenching her fist.

"Easy there, girl" I said with a hint of giggle. Clair and I are laughing while Reign didn't even said a word since I get here.

"Is there something wrong, Reign?" Clair asked.

"Nope," she said and walked out the room.

"Did I offended her?" I asked Clair.

"Don't worry 'bout her. I know she's fine. Maybe it's her time of the month," she said and giggled.

"I hope so"

"Hey! Do you want me to walk you around the campus. I promise you, it would be fun!" she said excitedly.

"Really? But this school is too big. It would take us a whole day just to wonder around the campus. Going here took me a lot of effort," I said.

"Don't you remember? Every student here possess magic powers. We can use my broom stick so we can fly around," she said and grabbed her broom.

"Ohh. I don't really possess magic powers. The old m-- I mean Stefan said that I will soon find out my ability," I said with a sad face.

"Don't worry, I believe that you're not a muggle. I'll support you. I bet you have awesome ability or maybe abilities. That would be great! Oh I just remembered that you are the only female mage. You must have more than one ability!" she said with a huge smile on her face.

"What's great with multiple abilities?" I asked.

"Don't you get it? When you have multiple abilities you are powerful and you'll gain alot of respect" she said.

"Who are those that possesses multiple abilities?" I asked again.

"Samantha Klaima, who ranked first at the witches department. Sec Daymon, ranked second at the Mages department and the president of the student council. And Third, no one really knows his second name, but he ranked first in the mages department and the vice-president of the students council," she said with amusement. She really adored and respect them.

"Then what's your ability, Clair?"

"Well mine is blaze. That's what my second name said hahaha," she laughed.

"What do you mean by the second name?" I asked again. My non stop questions.

"When you enter here at Acability, you will loose your surname but replaced by a second name given by the school. And the given name is based on your ability. I possesses fire powers, that's why my second name is blaze. Reign specialize gale and that's her second name," she explained.

"Ohh now I get it"

"But why is your name, White? What does it mean?" she asked. I wonder too.

"Well, Stefan didn't really explained this second name thingy to me. But he did said that White is a perfect second name and I was confused of what he said back then. There are a lot of things I don't know about Acability, huh?" I said while scratching my head.

"You never heard about Acability when you were lil? I always dream of studying here. And here I am, ranked 15 in the witches department," she said.

"No, I just had an accident and fall from a cliff. Then I met Stefan and he invited me here. Now I'm here in front of you, named as the first female mage," I rolled my eyes.

"Really? Maybe that's why they're accusing you for a mage," she said and that hit me.

"Oh I'm sorry. Did I hurted you? I didn't mean to say that," she said.

"No. Maybe I am a muggle" I said sadly.

"No! You are the great female mage! You are Alyxia White! You are my best friend!" she said.

"Thanks Clair"

"Any time. So are we going or not?"

Oh right! We're supposed to explore the campus.

"Let's g--- WTH it's already night time?"

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Time here is a lot faster than the outside world. Acability is like a new world, Alyxia. Better be get used to it. Well I don't want to break the rules. There's a curfew. Students are not allowed to go out their rooms when it's passed 6' o clock" she chuckled.

"So can we go out tomorrow?" I said with my puppy eyes.

"Well my class starts at 1:00 in the afternoon. How about yours?"

"Mine too" I said with joy.

"So it's decided. But how about Reign?"

"Let's invite her too. Wait, speaking of Reign. Where is she?" I asked.

"Aye, that stubborn girl. She must have sneaked again. She will be back later" she said worriedly.

"Clair! Can you show me your ability?" I said out of the blue.

"Well it's against the rules to use your ability inside your room and it's passed 6. But since your a transferee. It ain't hurt to show you some magic" she giggled as she reached for her wand.

"Amberus Quidus" she said gently as she swished and flicked her wand and golden orange flames came out from it.

"Woah... Ah! Will it burn me?!" I said in panic.

"Shush. Be quiet or else someone will here us"

"It won't hurt you. This is for entertainment flames or show flames. It's just used to amaze people. You can even touch it. See" she said as she touched the flames surrounding us.

"Cool. I want to be a witch" I said.

"Why? Being a mage is the best. If I just passed that exam. My dreams will come true" she said with glitters on her eyes.

"Wait, is that exam really a big deal?"

"Oh yes! With it, we can assure our potential and power. It is said that if you're a mage and tried to be a witch, you will die, for your body can't take the power vice versa" she explained.

"Why do everyone love to be a mage? Are mage really that powerful?" I asked again.

"Yes! As a witch, you rely on your wand and you need to memorize the spell. Same with the fairies. They do need to memorize spells, but they don't need wands. They use their hands to cast the spell. They also fly using their wings. But we witches need a broom, same with the wizards. But we all have limits in our abilities. We can only focus on the ability we specialize. Mine is flames. I can't learn other abilities like teleportation or rain neither wind. We can only focus on one ability, except if you are duability, tripobility or even multibility. Where you can perform sorts of abilities," Clair ended her long explanation.

"I'm starting to understand," I saud while nodding.

"What time is it? " I suddenly asked.

"7:58" Clair answered back.

"This is a new world to me. I that I'll get used to it," I said while changing into my pajamas.

"I'm sure you will," Clair said with a smile.

"It's already 8. Time to sleep," Clair said and everything was black.

“Raise and shine, Alyxia!” I could hear Clair’s voice in my dream.

“Hey!” She yelled and my fantasy torn apart when she shaken me to wake me up.

“Hey what’s the big deal? My class is at 1:00 pm. I need to sleep” I said with my eyes closed, hoping that I can continue my sleep.

“Aren’t we going to explore the wonders of Acability!” she said with sparkling eyes.

“Oh yeah” I said and started to fixed myself.

“Here, have some tea” she offered after casting a spell then golden orange flames came out from the wand and then I saw myself being offered by flames instead.

“Too lazy to offer me tea by hand, huh?” I asked sarcastically.

“Well that’s how I use my magic” She said with a smirk on her face.

“Want to tag along, Reign?” Clair asked and shifted her gaze beside me.

“Woah! Uhm good morning, Reign” I didn’t know that she’s beside me this whole time.

“Good morning. Can I?” She asked.

“Yes! Come on. Grab your broomsticks” Clair jumped with joy.

“We’re going out this early?” I asked.

“Early? It’s already 9:00 am” Clair answered.

“What? I’ll never understand the mechanics of time here. I always wake up early.

“Wait, Alyxia can’t ride a broom by herself,” Clair said.

“She can ride with me” Reign offered and I was a bit shocked. Well, I don’t know her that well. I didn’t got a chance to talk to her yesterday.

“Is it fine to you?” I asked shyly.

“Of course, hop in” She said and I saw her already riding her broom. I didn’t know that she’s friendly as Clair. Despite of her actions towards me yesterday.

“Thanks” I said and hopped on.

“Where should we go first?” Reign asked.

“Anywhere, just follow me” Clair said and flew out the room from the window, then Reign tried to raced with her.

There are lots of students riding their brooms too.

“This is the witches' lair. Acability is divided into four parts. It’s for the mages, witches, wizards and fairies. And this is our lair. We have here are the rooms. There’s the locker room. The library……” I could hear Reign talking but I can’t focus in her words, but instead I looked around. This school is so cool. But I’m still confused on how Reign treated me. She was like a moody witch yesterday and obviously she wants to avoid me. I thought that we ain’t gonna get along. But now she offered me to ride with her. But I guess that’s not a big deal. I’ll just leave that thought alone.

“And that’s it. There’s nothing much in the witches lair but for over all. We have the hall, where most programs are held, like yesterday. There’s the magic ball hall. It is where the magical ball take place. There is the duel field, where duels are held. Then there’s the magical garden, where there is a maze. It is said that no one can get through the middle of the maze where a mini castle is placed. No one really knows what’s inside. No one can fly through the maze. It is still a mystery to us” Reign ended her talking and landed on the ground, same with Clair.

“So… Do you like it here?” Clair asked and a huge smile.

“Yeah. This school is awesome” I said and smiled back.

“Should we head back? It’s almost time. I haven’t eaten breakfast” Reign said. Again, that tour didn’t took too long for me, but it’s almost time already? Then I remembered that I haven’t eaten any too.

“Yeah. We cannot go to our class with a rumbling stomach” Clair laughed.

“Let’s go”

We headed back to our room and ate our food.

“Uhmmm… What am I supposed to wear?” I asked when I saw Reign and Clair getting ready to change to their uniforms.

“Oh my! There are no female mage before. So the school didn’t provided a spare uniform for a girl. I wonder what it looks like. I bet it’s really cute. A blouse with long sleeve coat with mini skirt and a cloak over” Clair teased.

“Yeah. Unlike ours. Just plain old black long dress or a gown for others and a cloak over. With matching old fashioned witch hat” Reign said.

“I want to wear a mini skirt or some cute little dresses like the fairies. It’s so unfair” Clair said.

“It’s time. We’ll head to our class, Alyxia. Sorry we can’t give you a ride. I bet it will took ages for you to get there at the mages’ lair. Anyway, bye bye!” Clair and both Reign and her flew out the room with their brooms.

“This will really take me ages to get there. Oh shoot! Time is a lot faster here. I’ll be running late!” I yelled to myself and run out the room.

“I can’t make it there on time!” I yelled again.

I run and run but my feet can’t handle it anymore. Damn this school. Why is it too big?

“Hey! Need some help?” said by an unfamiliar voice.

I look around and found myself at the wizards' lair. Dang it! I’m lost

“Girl’s aren’t aloud in here. Perhaps you are lost?” a man stood in front of me. He must be a wizard.

“Yes. I’m new here. I can’t find my way to the mages' lair and I’m running late” I said to the man in a cloak.

“Oh! You are the first female mage. Well my class starts at 2:00 pm so I can give you a ride if you want” the man offered politely.

“By the way. My name is Anthony Wuther” he said and lend his hand. Hmmm… I can’t deny but he is handsome.

“Oh! Alyxia White” I said and accepted his hand.

“White? What does that mean?” He asked.

“Hahaha. I don’t know either. But what does Wuther mean?” I laughed awkwardly. God I’m running late. I don’t have time to chit chat.

“Hahaha. It’s water with a heavy accent” he laughed.

“Ride in my broom. I’ll get you there at the mages' lair at no time” he said and grabbed his broom. Well I can’t refuse to accept his offer so I hopped in and all I can know was I’m screaming like hell because of the speed his flying is. It’s ten times more than my driving. It’s awkward but I can’t do anything but to hug him tight or else I’ll fall. I heard him chuckle but I didn’t care. My life is more important. I still have to slap dad with my golden diploma.

“Here we are” Anthony said.

“Thanks Anthony. I’ll pay you back when we meet again. I really need to go. Bye bye” I waved him goodbye and run as fast as I could to our classroom. I turned around and saw him smile and flew off. He is a kind person. Thanks to him, I’m not late and arrived at the room in time. There is still no teacher. I sighed in relief and looked at my watch. Clair helped me turn it into Acability’s time system. As I looked I saw that it’s just 1:05. What the heck? I can’t understand how time works here. I thought that I’ll arrive here at 2. But I looked for a vacant seat and saw one at the back. Before seating there. I looked at my classmates. Nothing to be surprised of but I’m the only girl and I’m wearing my classic jeans and tight shirt. I sat at my seat quietly. God! This is so awkward. Everyone is staring at me. I know that I entered the right room but their stares our bothering me.

After a few minutes. A teacher showed up and to my surprise, Stefan entered the room too.

“Good afternoon students. Before we start our class. Lord Stefan wants to introduce to you all our new student. The first female mage. Miss Alyxia White. Miss White, can you please come in front” the teacher said.

“Good afternoon students. This is your new classmate, miss Alyxia White. She is the first female mage so please treat her right. I hope you all can get along” Stefan said and exited the room just like that.

“Hello miss White. I’m professor Mour” she said formally.

“Uhmmm, miss White. You need proper uniform for this class” she said and looked at my attire.

“But I don’t have a uniform, professor”

“There’s a uniform just for you at the locker room. Locker number 15. The school has already provided that for you. We didn’t have the chance to get your measurements but I hope that the uniform fits you. You may go there and change now. Oh! If you ever saw Lord Third, please inform him to attend class,” she reminded and I have to walk and the way to the locker room which is really far away.

“Dang it! I’m tired for all this walking” I rant as I opened the door of the locker room

“Ahhhhh!” I shouted as I saw a handsome man changing clothes inside. I forgot that there’s no separate room for girls. Why do I have to deal with handsome men today?
