Villainess On The Rise

The Start of the End

‹Entering the final floor: Level 999›

The luminous blue panel appeared in front of me as I stood in front of the large gates of the tower that leads to the boss's lair.

I gently put my hand on the wooden door and...

With a light touch, the door that supposedly weighs two-hundred tons shattered to pieces.

"Are you sure this door weights that much..?" Elara Isolde Fentan, I'm the unlucky reader who sparked the writers interests and was cursed to come to this world.

‹The Shieldbearer raised his thumbs up›

"It doesn't feel that way." I whispered to myself as I entered to the lair.

Inside is an empty space with only a throne sitting on top of an elevated floor.

"Let's finish this quickly." I swinged my sword and went on my guard.

The boss who's face can't be seen because of the shadow cascading on his face stood up and walked down the stairs from his throne.

Aegis is bigger...

I lowered my sword and relaxed my body, this is not going to be hard.

I frowned as I pointed my finger at the man in front of me, seemingly the size of a minatour.

A bullet of air that came from my finger pierced through the atmosphere and hit the boss on its stomach.

"Such petty tricks won't work on me, a bullet?" He laughed darkly which made me raise an eyebrow.

"What bullet?"

Right after I finished asking my question, his back bursted into pieces, incomparable to the small hole of the air I created on his stomach.

I looked up at the air to wait for the announcement.

‹Level 999 is cleared›

‹Time duration: 1 minute and 38 seconds›

‹Number of Attempts: 103›

‹Rewards to be claimed: Portal to Earth›

I gulped after seeing the rewards, it took me at least a year to finish this tower despite my power.

Not to mention the amount of time I wasted to train with the gods for preperation for such a mediocre battle.

I looked at the boss that is laying on a pool of his own blood and internal organs, I expected too much.

‹The gods are waving you farewell›

A soft smile formed on my lips as I waved back at the panel that motificated me their message.

‹The Author is interfering›

With just a single mention of the word "Author" the whole atmosphere around me changed, the air suddenly became dense and I felt myself going limp.

My eyes plastered on the red colored panel, hoping for some mercy from the Author.

"Please... No more..." I clasped my hands together and prayed to the panel like a madman.

I'm gonna go insane...

‹The Author laughed at you›

‹The Author wanted to give you a gift›

My heart dropped to my stomach, "No need..." I weakly voiced out, trembling violently.

‹The Author gifted you a pass to her new novel›

"N-No..." My eyes are wide open as I felt myself lost despite just winning.

‹The Author is now moving you to "The Fallen Heir"›

I hit the floor of the tower continuously until it started to crack, "Damn it!".

"I will cut your hands off and feed it to you, Author!" was the last thing I said before my world turned black.

‹The Author has another gift for you›

The Fallen Heir

I opened my eyes, my body seems to have just woke up but my consciousness is beyond awake.

I sat up straight on the bed.

Where am I now?

‹The Enchanter caresses your face and blessed you›

"Seren? What are you doing here?" These gods are from the novel I was previously in, they shouldn't be here.

‹All gods waves at you›

"You're all here? How come?" I looked at the panel in front of me, shocked.

Until I noticed the red panel, indicating that it came from the author "So you all are here as a gift from the Author?"

‹The Seer nodded›

I stood up from the bed, "Orin, explain this novel." I fixed my night gown as I looked for a mirror.

‹The Seer, looks in the past and the future›

‹The Seer completed your request›

After those golden panels appear, multiple blue panels crowded my field of sight.

I sat down on the edge of the luxurious bed and crossed my legs.

"It seems that this novel is much more complex..." I commented as I continued to watch blue panels appear one after another.

Red panels are messages from the author.

Golden panels are messages from the gods.

While the blue panels are messages from the system.

I moved the panels around using my fingertips and arranged them accordingly.

"For starters, we're in the past and I moved to the body of Lady Morgana Liora Blackthorn." I looked at the character profile of Morgana on the top left corner.

I moved her panel in front of me and skimmed her informations, "I like her, she seems smart."

‹The Deceiver is pleased›

"Oh you have the same name, Morgana Liora and Liora." I commented with a smile.

While I was immersed in my own fantasy, sounds of someone knocking on the wooden door made me flinch.

"My lady this is Livia." I looked at the door on the other side of the room then back to the panels, looking for her profile.

She's my personal maid.

"Come in." I ordered and the large doors opened.

"What's my schedule for today?" I walked towards the vanity mirror where she motioned for me to go.

She brushed my hair gently, "Nothing important, my lady. Should I prepare the carriage for you to shop?" I shook my head.

"I would like to be left alone for today." Until there's no particular quest for me to complete, I should store all my energy for later use.

As I watched through the reflection, she seems taken aback, then I'll take that reaction as Morgana being a sociable being.

"Then the lady will be inside the manor for the whole day, should I accompany you?" She suggested.

‹The Seer views her as someone you can trust›

Good job, Orin. "Sure, I will be in the library after I've taken a bath." I informed and she nodded before excusing herself, telling me that she'll be calling other maids to prepare my bath.

"Open game status." I commanded and as I walked around the room, exploring all the doors at the same time.

The game status panel is in the color of violet, like Morgana's eyes. It's color usually defers on the characters main palette.

The status has ten main branches: Basic information, attributes, skills, abilities, equipment, quests, relationships, special traits, emotional state and potential for growth.

Basic information contains the following.

‹Name: Morgana Liora Blackthorn›

‹Title: Heir of Blackthorn Vale›

‹Age: 26›

‹Class: Dark Sorceress›

‹Alignment: Lawful Evil (with potential for Neutral or Good through character development)›

‹Background: Noble, Cursed Reincarnate›

So Morgana has different routes...

Wait, "Orin is this novel a... Reverse harem?"

The Courtship Gambit

After a while, the other maids entered the room and helped me bathe.

Ha...

I mentally sighed after I confirmed my guess through the Seer.

‹The Seer apologizes for not telling you earlier›

The golden panel appeared right in front of my face as if begging for my forgiveness.

"Sel..." I motioned for my maid to come closer.

She bowed beside the tub, waiting for my orders as the other maids cleaned my body, "Accompany me to the library after my bath."

"As you wish."

She returned to standing on the corner of the bathroom.

...****************...

Everyone who I came across looked at me as if I was a ghost, is it because Morgana is so pale?

Earlier while I was looking at the mirror, I noticed just how pale this woman is, if she's a sociable person how come she's this white?

Is the sun afraid of her?

At the same time, almost all of her dresses are black, like she's mourning, but if I wear one of those I'll surely look like a ghost.

So I wore the white one, and I still look dead...

"Why are they looking at me like that?" I whispered to Livia, my tone coming out as annoyed accidentally.

"The lady have said it multiple times that light colors are a pain in the eyes, they must've been surprised to see you wearing white." That's all?

They're such a drama queen, it's just a color.

As soon as we arrived, the guards opened the doors to the library for us.

I looked around as we walked through the halls between the shelves, this place is gigantic...

"What book is the lady looking for?" She asked and I told her to bring me basic books for every subjects.

She's confused but stopped herself from asking another question.

I walked towards a table near the windows where the sun shines through.

"You... What are you doing here?" Adrian Thorne Blackwood, one of the main characters love interest.

I met one of the target characters too early as I expected.

"Is there a reason for me not to visit my manors library?" I snarkly commented.

At the right time, Livia came back with stacks of books on her arms, "Here they are, my lady." she announced as she placed the books on the tables.

"Greetings to the second son of the Backwood family." Livia bowed and moved to my side.

It seems that maids of the Blackthorn family has better etiquette than its own children. Adrian frowned.

‹Quest triggered›

What? Right now, of all times?

A blue panel randomly appeared in front of me which made me Clench my jaw.

‹Quest: The Courtship Gambit›

This is why I hate romance novels...

‹Morgana Blackthorn, the ambitious villainess of Valoria, embarks on a strategic quest to romance Lord Adrian Blackwood, a charismatic nobleman known for his intellect and influence.›

‹This quest is crucial for Morgana as she seeks to secure Adrian’s loyalty and support amidst the intricate web of courtly politics and supernatural intrigue.›
