The alpenglow lit over the two companions as they settled down on a grassy hill, they took sight of the serene sunfall before them. The wind breeze and chirps of birds being the only thing filling the silence between them.
Felix
"Do you think we're together in another universe?"
The golden haired boy looked up to his bestfriend, hope and stars glimmered in his brown eyes hopefully. The taller boy looked back at Felix, his eyes impassive and detached as always.
Hyunjin
"We're not even from the same universe, Fel."
He responded apathetically before he turned away. Sorrow filled the golden boy's smile yet it never disappeared.
Felix
"Maybe, but it won't hurt to hope,"
Felix turned away as his eyes settled back to the sunset before them. A smile still plastered in his face,
Felix
"Even if we aren't, i'll try to find you in every universe."
Hope filled the shorter boy's voice, optimistic and hopeful as always. The opposite of the taller boy beside him. Yet Hyunjin's smile quirked slightly at the sweet promise.
Hyunjin
"Yeah, good luck trying to cross the universes just to find me."
The taller boy responded to him in his sarcastic and unimpressive voice, yet there was no heat in his voice. Perhaps, a little warmth and trust is slipped under those words as they proceed to view the falling nightsky infront of them.

Psshh, this fanfic is mostly about platonic hyunlix. its not mainly on romance because this is angst and Hyunlix is only bestfriend in this, but hey, you can perceive this as romantic Hyunlix or even platonic because i don't really care about it. But even so, i'll try to get as much as chemistry in their relationship :))
The dawn of a Dove.
6 Months. 6 months is how long i'd be roaming and exploring this unknown world as a lonesome one. Quiet and vacuous, possibly a tad bit of lonesome in here too.
i murmured as i watched the raindrops further soaking myself. I checked around the foggy surrounding as raindrops pelting down with a cool breeze of the wind, its beautiful and calm around here. But,
Felix
'Its too lonely and quiet out here,'
I thought anxiously as i strode around the humid grass under my steps. i don't really like being alone, especially in an unknown place.
A sudden thought came into my mind as i watched the flowers dance together with the wind breeze,
Felix
'Maybe if i check around, i'll found someone who could accompany me in this world.'
A tiny spark glimmered, a hope within my soul for a companion or a friend that could help and accompany me.
I've heard about friends but i live alone in a room, my room where i was raised alone by a few adults and where im not allowed to leave the room. They were sweet and gentle to me, but they were also very strict of the rules they have for me. I once broke a rule, but it didn't end well for me— atleast before i managed to redeem myself. Even though it still scared me till now, atleast they didn't leave me.

"I never had any friends before, the scientists would often talk about how fun friendship is. I wonder if i could find someone who could be my friend in here."
I informed the wind as i kneeled down to touch the flowers, dandelions. I like flowers, but i don't like how they would wither so easily without the help of the sun and water. But they are beautiful and magnificient on the bright side.
Felix
"Do you think i could find a friend here, little flower?"
I asked the flower as my fingers caressed the moist petals. As expected, no answer instead as the flowers just sway with the breeze of the wind. They looked like they're dancing with the wind.
Felix
'they look funny and adorable like that.'
I wondered with a small grin, they really do look unique.
Grass, flowers, trees, and the pouring sky is the only thing i see. I squinted my eyes through the fog, it seems like i have to search around now.
Felix
"Its getting cold now..."
I murmured through the cold wind before i strode toward the fog and head to find a path that could lead me to shelter from the cold rain.
The only audible sound i could hear is the loud pitter patter of rainpour that is slowly getting heavy and the subtle sound of my rushed footsteps.
Felix
'Its cold... Really cold...'
I mentally chanted those words in my head.
My body shivers under the cold rain and wind as i tried to fight my way through the storm, clutching both of my side as i strode through the rain.
Felix
"Please, please... A shelter or anything..."
I murmured as i gritted my teeth through the cold shivers running around my veins.
The grassy foggy fields and heavy raindrops is the only thing i see in my vision as i ran through the puddle of rainwaters already pooling on the grass and flowers fields. Its a shame that i had to step on the flowers, but i was too cold to think about anything at the moment.
My footsteps and breathing is getting heavier every second but a silhouette of a tree in the distance came into my sight,
Felix
"a tree! Oh thank you!"
I chimed in delight and relief as my footsteps suddenly grew lighter to ran towards the tree for shelter.
A soft thud and i rest myself on the damp grass underneath me, the thick leaves of the tree allowed me to take shelter underneath it. Even though there is still droplets seeping down from the leaves and the grass is damp cold underneath me, its better than being drenched fully in cold.

'it will do for now...'
I thought optimistically with a small smile as i adjusted my position and leaned on the tree trunk. Yeah, this is better than nothing.
I hugged my knees to my chest and curled like a ball as an attempt to warm myself, it was a futile attempt but atleast i tried. The cold and chilly wind breeze didn't help it at all.

"It seems like the rain isn't going to finish or stop anytime soon,"
I spoke even though its barely audible due to how loud the rain is,
Felix
"its gonna take forever for the rain to stop..."
I sighed in despair, shivering slightly as i blow a breath to my hands. My hands wrinkled due to how long i've been in the rain, and also cold... But it will get better!
Its been an hour, and the rain seems to be stopping down now. The wind is not so cold now, and the sun is starting to appear.
I was distracted by the sight of a frog near the pond beside the tree im staying, a duck and it's ducklings swimming around the pond. They were adorable and i wished i could join them.
Would it be fun if i'm an animal? Maybe a duck or a frog, they look adorable and they seem to enjoy their life in peace. I was curious to say the least, but my train of thoughts got cut as i noticed the rain stopped.
I huffed in relief, it was getting boring and tense around here. So i decided to stand up and futilely dusting off my damp clothes.

"Its still raining a bit,"
I peered out of the tree leaves, it was indeed a small drizzle pouring down from the overcast sky,
Felix
"I'll be fine, its just a small rain."
I stood out of the tree and began to strode over to a direction im not so certain of. But its okay, i'll keep moving onwards.
Felix
"Maybe i could find a village or town around here and maybe ask a few things around here..."
I pondered out loud as i took my steps on the grass, it was drenched now underneath my feet. The direction im heading to is leading me to a field and a forest in a distance.
I was slightly distracted, the surrounding as i strode through is quite beautiful and serene. I would like it here if it weren't for the fact that i don't like being alone.
Going through the beautiful fields and forest, i found a path. It looked like an old path and it was leading towards something. I also spotted a fence near the trees.

'Maybe it could lead to a village or town nearby?'
I pondered, suddenly i feel enlighten by the thoughts. I started to rush towards the path, following the path in hopes that there is a village or a house with someone.
Turning to a stop, my grin falters at the sight. Instead of finding a town or a village, i found none of them. An old rusty cabin is seen.
I pondered out loud, disappointment etched on my faltering grin yet a new feeling of curiosity bloomed within me. On the bright side, i at least found something.
a Dove's and a Raven's first meeting.
I stood for a few seconds, contemplating if i should go in the cabin or not. The cabin looked like it had been abandoned for a long time due to the rusty and stale condition of the cabin.
Felix
"I should check it out, maybe i could find something inside. A map maybe?"
I pondered to myself before taking steps towards the cabin. Yeah, a map. I could find something better than nothing.
The door is right in front of me, it seems like it was budged open from the outside because the door is busted and is half open.
Felix
'Nothing bad happened in here right?'
Thoughts started to cloud my mind, as my eyebrows narrowed anxiously, my eyes flicking back and forth to the door and the knob.
Felix
'No, its just bad thoughts. Keep it positive, Felix'
I shake my head out of the bad thoughts. I took a deep breath before convincing myself its nothing bad, i straightened myself before going in.
The inside seems to be dim, its also quite dust-covered inside. It seems like it hasn't been left alone for too long since the furniture seems to be in place and still in a good shape, its quite dusty though.
Felix
'Oh, its not that bad. Did the owner left the cabin in a good shape?'
I pondered while looking around the cabin. Its not that small nor that big but spacious and comfy enough for living.
Felix
"i should start looking around."
Anyway, i searched around the cabin. Nothing really useful... A table with already rotten fruits bowl, a messy desk with books clattered around, many decorative on the wall, and a old gramophone.
Felix
"All of the stuff here looks old and senile... What year is this world in?"
But one thing that intrigue me is the bookshelves. Out of all the stuff in here, i like books the most. Probably because i have no entertainment back at my room other than study or story books, a radio with one music tape, and 100 pages of coloring books.
Maybe i am familiar with the gramophone, but there is no vinyl records around so i just went straight to the bookshelves.

"There are so many books..."
I murmured in awe as i stared at the glorious and big bookshelves filled with books— not really, its dust covered and there is a bunch of spiderwebs clutching on the books. The books seems to be in a not so great shape. It was worn out even from the books covers.
Felix
"Eh, atleast its still intact and not that worn out. I could maybe take a look in one of them."
I shrugged with a small sheepish smile before reaching out for one of the worn out books.
Felix
"Ooo, I wonder what's this book about?"
I murmured out loud in curiosity before opening the book, only for the pages to scatter around me to the grouns. Oh, it seems like it was in an already torn shape.
Felix
"Oops... I didn't think that was gonna happen... Maybe i should just continue looking around..."
I muttered hastily in a hushed tone as if i just killed a person or something as i put the book back to the original spot, i was sort of guilty that i had accidentally made a mess in this cabin. I continued to search around the cabin while mentally apologizing to whoever is up there watching me.

'Forgive me for breaking something i shouldn't have broken...'
In the end i only managed to find an old pocket watch, it was sort of dirty but still in a good condition and working. Its 1 PM stated on the pocket watch.
Odd that its cold in here but it must've been the weird unknown weather in this world, but at least i managed to caught up with the time in here.
I put the pocket watch in my pocket before my eyes landed on a calendar. I went closer to the calendar.
Monday the 20th of September 1999.

"Oh, i never thought i was way back in time."
I muttered with raised eyebrows, i wasn't even born yet at that time. Curiosity and wonder bloomed within me.
Felix
"Its currently 2014 back in my timeline... So im 15 years back in time in this universe."
I calculated the years and stuff like that. It was surely odd that... I wasn't even born yet in here.
Even if i were, what would i'd be? What would i look like? Would i still like chicken drumsticks? Or would they like anything else other than that? Maybe something sweet like ice cream? I remember trying them out when the scientists let me have one taste of them, they tasted delicious but somehow it didn't fit with me. Probably because im not used to sweet and cold stuff since the scientists only served me fried chickens with rice and vegetables with fruits. And only water for drinks, they would occasionally give me juices if im behaving well.
Would my other self in here is having the same situation with me?

"Huff, i should stop thinking nonsense. Mr. Alex wouldn't like me slacking around..."
I shake my head out of the thoughts before continuing to roam around, before my eyes landed on a familiar thing.
Felix
"Ooo! Is that a bike?"
I chimed in curiosity before heading towards the bike that is laid on the yard, i've seen this before. But i never really got to use it or see it in person, they told me how fun it was to use a bike. And im curious to use it!
I eagerly held the bike up and admired it, it looks so awesome even up close! Can i ride it? It seems kind of difficult, but that just made it more cool than ever!

'I should try it out!'
I thought eagerly as i tried to get on it... But i ended up losing balance and fell to the side with the bike, falling on the right side to the grass with a thud.
Felix
"Oof... I don't think that was a great idea..."
In the end i ended up walking the bike with me through the grass, seems like i have to practice on riding bicycles now. There is a path that lead somewhere, i decided to follow the path since i have no idea on where to go after all.
The bike it sort of heavy and i almost toppled down a few times along the way especially in the grassy hill ground, but im fine nonetheless.

"HUFF! This bike is so heavy! Why are they heavy anyway??"
I complained as i tried to stand up with the bike before stopping to rest a little and then continuing on my journey. Maybe its because of my physique or maybe the bike is just too big for my size.
Felix
"Why is this bike so big anyway? My height is literally not that average for my age!"
Its been 30 minutes since i've been walking. I've seen a few things along the way of my journey. I found cats, many beautiful flower field, a river with fishes, and more. The scenery around here is beautiful and calming.
Felix
"Im getting tired..."
I murmured as i keep walking along the path, so far i've found no village or city. I was getting hopeless each second, but i keep it positive.
Felix
"Yeah, just keep it positive."
I chanted through hushed murmurs, yeah just keep it positive. And infact, my hope did actually give me a good result. Because not much longer, a small town appeared after i finished hiking a small hill!
Felix
"Oh! Oh! A town! Thank you!"
I beamed happily in relief, in fact i was so happy that i lost my balance and ended up tumbling down the small hill with the bike beside me.
I winced in pain as i sat up, i felt my knee hurting. Great, i got a scraped knee. I should've been careful earlier, a bad idea to celebrate over a hill.
Felix
"I guess im okay and that's good. And also i found a small town, that's a plus!"
I rejoiced before standing up and dusting myself, i turned to my bike and headed for the town waiting for me with eager!
I roamed around the small town, its lively and quite strong with sense of community due to how many residents seem to interact with almost each other dearly. The small town is also located near a forest and a beach.
The residents seem content in here, which isn't wrong because the scenery and atmosphere around the small town is actually relaxing and lively. I saw a few people walking along the sidewalk as they chattered with each other, a few people seems to also mind their business in the small park near the store i was beside, and a few children playing tag with each other.

"They all seems so happy and peaceful, i wonder is this how the people outside do?..."
I was snapped out of my trains of thoughts when few people greeted me along the way, i honestly seems confused at first but i greeted them back. I have to say, the residents here were kind and nice. I already like it here.
There is even an old lady sitting outside an antique store who gave me candies, i smiled at the lady before continuing to explore this small yet lovely town around.
Felix
"She was nice and sweet, maybe i could visit her again later!"
I mumbled happily as i carried the candies with me— before the bike beside me lost its balance and falling right on me, since the bike is so big and heavy.
The weight of the bike is heavy that i instinctively topple over and then i land on a tangle of limbs on the road with the bike on top of me.
My wrapped candies got thrown around to different directions as it scattered around, but one caught my eyes before landing on the side of someone’s shoes a few meters away from where im embarrassingly fallen over...
My eyes followed the candy that is now being picked up by a boy around my age, and we lock eyes with each other. He's staring at me with an unreadable expression, he's taller than me with brown tousled hair and caramel eyes that is darker than mine... And perhaps more intimidating than mine. Im guessing my golden hair is messy and weird, huh..?
An awkward silence passed between us before i chuckled embarrassingly because he had to see me in such state like this, and he is not even saying anything and staring at me like that! With a nervous and awkward smile, i muster up one shaky word.
