Lily POV
As I dragged myself into my office, grumbling at the early winter morning, I couldn't help but think that the only reason I was here was for the lucrative paycheck. My assistant who's also my best friend, Rosalie, greeted me with a warm smile and a comforting voice.
"Good morning, sunshine! I've got your coffee ready."
I yawned, taking the cup from her. "Thanks, Rosalie. I don't know how I'd survive without you."
She chuckled, gesturing for me to take a seat. "Well, you'd probably still look stunning, but I'm happy to help."
As she worked her magic on my hair and makeup, we chatted about the upcoming show. I barely needed any touch-ups, thanks to my rigorous skincare routine, but Rosalie insisted on making me look "flawless."
Once I was all dolled up, I slipped into the stunning black ruffled dress and black pencil heels with silver engraving. Rosalie gave me a thumbs up and a "Good luck" before I strutted out onto the catwalk.
The applause was thunderous, and I reveled in the praise as I ended the show. Backstage, Rosalie was beaming with pride.
"You killed it out there! I knew you would."
I smiled, hugging her. "Thanks, Rosalie. I couldn't do it without you."
The next day was a blur of interviews and outfit changes, but finally, I made it back home, exhausted. As I rummaged through my bag, I discovered a mysterious book with a note attached.
"Hey, what's this?" I asked Rosalie over the phone.
"What's what? " She said nonchalantly.
"what do you mean " I ask her confused.
"babe I'm currently very busy with styling these model. Talk to you later "she said hurriedly.
I ended the call, maybe she messing around with me . I took the book on my hand and looked at the message.
The message read: "Read the book, and if you're curious, do as it says. Trust me, you'll love it." - Your bestie.
I raised an eyebrow at Rosalie's secretive note, but my exhaustion got the better of me. I decided to tackle the strange book another day, especially since it was written in an unintelligible language... except for the next page, which was in English.
I shrugged it off, too sleepy to ponder the mystery further. As I drifted off to sleep, I wondered what Rosalie had gotten me into this time.

I woke up with a start, my heart racing as the sound of raindrops hitting the roof and windows filled the room. I threw off my cozy blankets and rushed to the window, pulling back the curtains to reveal a torrential downpour. The rain was coming down in sheets, drumming against the panes like a relentless beat.
I checked my phone for the time, groaning in frustration when I saw it was only 12:30 a.m. I had gone to bed at 10:00 p.m. the night before, hoping for a good night's rest. But now, thanks to my annoying habit of waking up at the slightest sound, I was wide awake and alert.
If it weren't for the cold winter air that chilled me to the bone, I might have been tempted to join the rain dance outside. I loved the feeling of rain on my skin, the way it washed away my worries and left me feeling fresh and clean. But tonight, I was stuck inside, shivering beneath my blankets as I tried to shake off the remnants of sleep.
I knew I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep now. My mind was racing, my thoughts spinning with a mix of frustration and curiosity. What was I going to do with myself for the next few hours? I couldn't just lie in bed, staring at the ceiling and waiting for dawn to break.
That's when I remembered the strange book Rosalie had given me. I had been meaning to read it for days, but kept putting it off. Now, with the rain outside and my sleepless brain refusing to quiet down, I decided to dive in and see what secrets the book held. Little did I know, I was about to embark on a journey that would change everything.
As I snuggled deeper into my quilt, the softness enveloping me like a gentle hug, I felt a thrill of excitement mixed with a hint of trepidation. The book, with its mysterious symbols and eerie aura, seemed to whisper secrets in my ear, drawing me in with an otherworldly allure.
I adjusted my headphones, the soft music a soothing background hum as I delved into the book's yellowed pages. The words danced before my eyes, a mesmerizing waltz of ancient knowledge and forbidden secrets. I devoured each sentence, my mind racing with the implications of what I was reading.
The room around me melted away, the rain outside receding into the background as I became one with the book. My snacks and water forgotten, I was consumed by the world within the pages. The warmth of my quilt and the music in my ears created a cozy cocoon, shielding me from the darkness outside as I explored the shadows within the book.
Time lost all meaning as I read on, the hours slipping away like grains of sand in an hourglass. The book's secrets unfolded before me like a dark flower blooming in the night, its petals whispering secrets only I could hear. And I listened, entranced, as the book revealed its mysteries, drawing me deeper into a world of wonder and terror.
●●●●●
As I delved deeper into the book's dark secrets, the air around me seemed to thicken with an eerie presence. The words on the pages appeared to shift and twist, like serpents slithering through my mind. I felt a creeping sense of dread, as if I was unraveling a malevolent force that had been hidden for centuries.
The spells and incantations described in the book seemed to sear themselves into my brain, leaving behind a trail of unease and trepidation. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being led down a dangerous path, one that threatened to consume me whole.
Despite my growing fear, I was powerless to stop reading. The book had taken on a life of its own, drawing me in with an otherworldly allure. I was trapped in a nightmare from which I couldn't awaken, with each turn of the page plunging me deeper into the heart of darkness.
The room around me had grown darker, the shadows cast by the flickering candles twisting into grotesque forms that seemed to move of their own accord. I felt like I was being watched, the weight of unseen eyes upon me making my skin crawl.
Yet, I pressed on, driven by a morbid curiosity that refused to be sated. I had to know what secrets the book held, no matter the cost to my sanity or soul. The words on the page seemed to whisper sweet nothings in my ear, drawing me closer to the abyss with each passing moment.
I was torn between the desire to uncover the truth and the terror that came with it. The book had become my own personal Pandora's box, releasing a horror beyond my wildest imagination. And I, the hapless reader, was powerless to stop the darkness that had been unleashed.
As I reached the 110th page, my heart racing with anticipation and fear, my eyes landed on a cryptic note scrawled in the margin. The handwriting was eerie and uneven, like a madman's scribble. The words seemed to leap off the page, warning me away from the secrets that lay ahead.
The note read:
"Turn back now, while you still can. The knowledge contained in these pages is not for mortals. To proceed is to invite madness and despair. Heed this warning, lest you suffer those forbidden flames of hell ."
I felt a chill run down my spine as I read the ominous message. Who wrote this? And what flame are they talking about ? I wondered if I was playing with fire, delving into secrets that were meant to remain hidden.
But my curiosity got the better of me. I had come too far to turn back now. I had to know what secrets lay hidden in the remaining pages. With a sense of trepidation, I turned the page, and plunged headlong into the darkness that awaited me.
, As I turned the pages, my heart raced with a mix of fear and fascination. The ritual was described in eerie detail, with intricate symbols and handwriting.
I kept reading till I found out that thus is actually a book to summon a demon. it's rituals are clearly written.
"We must first drop a droplet of our blood. (The person who is summoning). And chant the spells written. And think of the demon we want to summon. If it pleases him, that demon will appear before that person. But beware, this is not a game. If any devil comes, it will be chaos. If it does not come, then it is alright."

Author POV
Lily's heart raced with a thrill of anticipation, her nerves tingling with a mix of fear and excitement. She had always been drawn to the dark and mysterious, fascinated by the supernatural forces that lurked in the shadows. And now, with the ancient tome of forbidden knowledge in her hands, she felt an irresistible urge to unleash its secrets.
The summoning ritual beckoned, its steps tantalizing her like a forbidden fruit. She couldn't resist the temptation to conjure a demon, to tap into the unknown and unleash its power. The fact that her friend Rosalie had gifted her this mysterious book only added to the allure, she still wandered why Rosalie would gift her such a book out of nowhere and why but the temptation from the book was so deep that she ignored Everything else.
Lili's pulse quickened as she delved into the ritual, her curiosity and desire for adventure consuming her. She was ready to unlock the gates of the unknown, to dance with the darkness and taste the thrill of the forbidden. The summoning awaited, its promise of power and mystery too great to resist.
Lili's hand trembled slightly as she retrieved the needle from her purse, a habitually carried tool of her modeling trade. With a deep breath, she pricked her index finger, wincing as a tiny droplet of blood formed. The crimson bead hesitated for a moment before falling onto the ancient book's yellowed page.
As she sucked on her wounded finger to alleviate the sting, her eyes locked onto the book with an unblinking gaze. The words on the page seemed to pulse with a malevolent energy, drawing her in with an otherworldly allure.
With each chant, her heart raced faster, the rhythm echoing through the darkening room like a death knell. Shadows crept across the walls, as if the very darkness itself was coalescing into a presence. Lili's spine tingled with foreboding, yet she pressed on, her voice steady despite the growing sense of dread.
The universe seemed to be screaming warnings at her, but Lili's determination had become a deafening roar, drowning out all caution. She was all in, even as the darkness closed in around her like a shroud.
As Lili's chanting finally ceased, the room and its surroundings succumbed to an unsettling silence. The stillness was palpable, like a heavy blanket that suffocated all sound. Lili's gaze swept the room, searching for any hint of movement or disturbance. But the space remained eerily frozen, as if time itself had been arrested.
Despite the apparent tranquility, Lili couldn't shake off the nagging feeling of being watched. She tried to rationalize it away, attributing the sensation to her own imagination and the lateness of the hour. "I knew nothing would happen," she muttered to herself, trying to sound convincing. "It's just some kind of prank Rosalie pulled on me. This stupid book, everything about it is stupid."
Disappointment washed over her, tinged with a hint of relief. She had always been skeptical of the supernatural, and now her doubts seemed vindicated. With a yawn, she reached for her phone on the bed, checking the time. The glowing screen read 2:34 AM, the digits seeming to mock her with their blandness.
As she settled into bed, the warmth of the quilt enveloped her like a comforting embrace. Her eyelids grew heavy, and despite her initial resistance, sleep began to claim her. The book, the chanting, and the eerie silence receded into the background, replaced by the soft darkness of her subconscious. Lily surrendered to the night, her dreams waiting to unfold like a mysterious tapestry.
As Lili drifted off to sleep, the silence was so profound that the ticking of the clock in the hallway resonated through the room like a heartbeat. Just as she was about to surrender to slumber, she felt a subtle shift on the bed, as if someone had lain down beside her. The movement was faint, but it sent a shiver down her spine.
Lili's body froze, her muscles paralyzed with fear. She tried to move, to roll away or sit up, but her limbs felt heavy and unresponsive, as if pinned down by an invisible force. Panic set in, her mind racing with terror. She was trapped, helpless, and utterly alone.
And then, a cold, clammy hand crept onto her waist, its fingers wrapping around her like a vice. Lili's heart raced, her breath caught in her throat. She was fully awake now, her senses on high alert. The realization hit her like a sledgehammer: she had made a terrible mistake. The summoning had worked, but it had brought something malevolent into her world.
Her mind screamed, but her voice was silenced by some unseen force. The hand tightened its grip, its chill seeping into her bones. Lili's thoughts were a jumble of fear, her brain struggling to comprehend the horror that had invaded her bed, her room, her life. She was trapped in a living nightmare, with no escape from the darkness that had taken hold of her.
