He clearly remembered him asking her out the day before. He could still feel the happiness flooding through him when she said yes. How could 2 years just pass away in a blink of an eye.
Luke felt everything came crashing down. Killian takes him into a warm and tight hug. It was his hug that prevented him from falling apart and breaking into pieces. As if like, Killian has already mastered how to save him from this. As if Luke has cried a thousand several times before, his body starting to get molded in the shape of Killian's comforting embrace.

Luke pushes free from Killian's embrace

Luke looked around the room. His gaze fell upon the calendar hanging on the wall. Suddenly it hit him- 2 years had actually already passed since that fateful day. Time has slipped through his fingers, and the realization left him momentarily breathless.
Luke
Why is he so calm about it???
The question gnawed at him, but then understanding dawned.

It's not that Killian is calm bout his sister's death, he had simply found a way to cope with the tragedy over these two years.
Luke felt a pang of guilt as he considered how much Killian must have endured all alone.
The room felt different with his new understand. Luke's heart ached for Killian, realising the depth of the struggle he had faced. He wanted to be there for Killian more from now on, to offer the support and companionship that has been missing.
