Maya:

Today is the happiest day of Maya Brook's life. At the height of her 24 years, she is about to fulfill her biggest dream of getting married.

She woke up very early and is already wearing her beautiful wedding dress. The only thing that worries her is the disappearance of her best friend Kate Belquior, who didn't show up at her bachelorette party. Kate helped Maya with all the details of her party, she was present throughout the 2 years of their engagement, she was the one who helped buy her future home, and even helped plan the honeymoon.

Maya called Kate's cell phone several times, but it went straight to voicemail. The other friends are already present for the wedding day, Maya has already received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her godmother.

"Do you think Kate won't come, Maya?"

"I don't know, Emily, I hope she's okay."

It was 9:00 am when a gift box arrived at Maya's house, she receives that beautiful package with joy, she was always very grateful for all the gifts she received since they started arriving at her house, however, when she undoes the bow and opens that box, pain and disappointment invade her soul. She drops the box on the floor and sits down, spreading her dress, and the biggest pain of her life begins. They were photos of her beloved fiance Josh in bed with her best friend Kate. When she looks at the floor and sees the photos, she starts ripping them all up, there were many, but when she goes to pick up the last one, she sees a letter printed from a computer where it said where she would find the two of them. So she decides to catch them red-handed, grabs the skirt of her dress, and runs. Besides the photos and the letter, there was a magnetic card that opened the hotel room door, and in the letter, there were instructions with the address and room number. She goes up the elevator without much difficulty, despite the curious eyes of everyone who sees a bride with her makeup messed up from tears in a hotel. Upon opening the door to the room, she is faced with a table in the room with the remains of a fondue, a melted candle, and the remains of a romantic decoration, there was the explanation why her "best friend" did not attend her bachelorette party. She goes towards the bed and there are the two traitors completely naked sleeping.

"You bastard!!!"

Maya screams right after throwing the roses from the vase on the floor and throwing water on the two, causing them to wake up startled. Kate wraps herself in the sheet and Josh puts a pillow in front of his private parts.

"My love, I can explain, it's not what you're thinking, I don't even know what she's doing here, I was at my bachelor party, I don't even know how I got here."

"Look at me, Josh, see if you can see the word 'idiot' written on my forehead."

"And you, you bitch, pretended to be my best friend to steal my fiance."

"Forgive me, May, I didn't mean to, but with this closeness of ours in relation to the wedding preparations, I ended up falling in love with Josh. I love him."

Maya manages to slap Kate a few times.

"It's over, Josh, are you going to explain to the wedding guests why we broke up? I still have proof of your infidelity, even though I ripped some of it up, I still have a lot left. Why don't you enjoy the party and marry this bitch?"

The same way she entered the room, she leaves with her dream of marrying a man she had loved since she was 15 shattered. This time she leaves the car at the hotel and walks the streets of New York dressed as a bride, sad, with her heart torn apart. Cars start honking, people start to look at her with pity, others whisper to each other, but nothing more that happens can shake Maya's life. A big change in the weather occurs and a storm falls, finally ruining the wedding dress.

Maya doesn't want to know anything anymore and looks up at the sky, taking off her veil and throwing it on the avenue, swearing revenge on Josh and Kate, saying that one day she will look at them and be on top and will laugh at their failure, even if it's the last thing she does in life, she will get revenge on the two traitors.

Maya's father finally finds her and takes her home and when she thinks she's going to have some support, her nightmare continues.

"What were you thinking, Maya? Josh called me saying that you canceled the wedding. You must be crazy, how can you cancel the wedding with Josh Miller? He is a senior executive at Moore Corporation, he is very close to Nathan Ford Moore. You don't know how powerful this businessman is. He has a large empire and companies all over the world. Josh could be an intermediary between our company."

"You only think about business, Dad. That bastard Josh cheated on me with Kate."

"That was a slip-up, my daughter, it was his bachelor party, he had to have fun, after all, you're still innocent out there, you didn't give yourself to him. A man needs sex. It was already past 10:00 when Nathan Ford arrived at his company, entering his office by the private elevator. He sat in his chair and pondered what his grandmother had just asked of him, as she herself had said, "her last wish." Amber Ford, the great matriarch of the Ford family, now in the terminal stage of cancer. Nathan felt powerless; despite all his fortune, he could not save the life of the grandmother who had raised him like a son.

Amber Ford was not just a mother to Nathan; she was an exemplary woman. It was she who had lifted the company from its humble beginnings when she inherited it after her husband died of a sudden heart attack, leaving her with two young children—his aunt Lindsey and his father, Paul, aged 6 and 8 at the time. Amber managed the company and took care of her children. When her eldest son finished college and got married, she passed the reins of what was already a large and successful company, ranking among the best in the country. His father ran the company for only five years before a fateful accident took his and his daughter-in-law's lives, leaving only his 3-year-old grandson, Nathan. His thoughts were interrupted by his secretary calling to go over the day's appointments. He allowed her to enter.

"Good morning, Mr. Ford! You have two meetings this morning, the first at 10:30 with the governor and the second at 11:30 with the Hassan construction company. At 2:00 p.m., Mr. Josh Carter's wedding."

"Okay, you can go, Any. And get the meeting room ready."

The secretary left, but when there were only five minutes left before the meeting, she called back to inform him that Josh Carter's wedding had been canceled. Nathan scratched his head, wondering why it had been canceled, since Josh was full of praise for his fiance, claiming she was perfect. But he pushed the thoughts away, focusing on his appointments.

After the two meetings, he decided to have lunch at his favorite restaurant, and upon leaving the company, he saw a scene that caught his attention. Near the entrance of the company parking lot, he saw Josh arguing with a woman, and after she gesticulated wildly and pointed her finger at him several times, he pushed her, and she fell to the ground, clutching her ankle. Josh turned his back and simply left her there with an expression of pain. Nathan was outraged by Josh's cowardice and got out of his car and approached the beautiful woman.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm not, but I will be."

"It looks like you sprained your ankle; it could be serious. Let me take you to the hospital."

The woman tried to protest, but he didn't listen. He just picked her up in his arms, put her in his car, and took her to the same hospital where his grandmother was, the best in the country.

"You're lucky it was just a dislocation. You could have been seriously injured. I don't know how you women walk in such high heels."

He said, pretending not to know what had really happened.

"If I had twisted my ankle in 5-inch heels, it would have hurt less than the disappointment I felt with my wretched ex-fiance. But what's his is in store for him; I'm just writing down all the reasons to get my revenge, and his downfall will be great, his and that homewrecking mistress of his who is now his fiance. The scoundrel changes brides as if he were changing clothes."

"Are you really that angry with him?"

"Wouldn't you be? I received proof of his infidelity as a wedding present, at the exact moment I was getting dressed to go to church to fulfill my biggest dream, which was to get married in a church wedding! And he still had time to flaunt his betrayal, and to top it all off, I was evicted from my house for ending the relationship! And when I'm on my way to a lawyer's office, I run into the jerk, and he tells me that I'll never be able to get a man as good as him, of his social standing, and that I'm not on his level! But enough of that, you must be bored with my story."

"No, go on. For today, I'll be the ear for your outburst."

The woman smiled, and Nathan found her smile beautiful.

"There's nothing more to say. The only thing I wanted at this point was to get another fiance, much better than him, to rub it in his face that he's worthless and show that envious witch of an ex-best friend of mine that I can do much better than her."

For Nathan, hope dawned—a perfect chance to fulfill his grandmother's wish: to marry a woman who was not interested in his money but rather in getting revenge on everyone who had wronged her. It would be a mutually beneficial exchange: he would help her with her revenge, and she would fulfill his grandmother's request.

"And you just hit the jackpot, Nathan Ford Moore, your fiance."

Maya:

"Dad, you can't be serious."

"I am serious, Maya. If you don't reconsider your decision and go there to talk to Josh about getting married immediately, you can leave."

"I'll pack my things."

"There's nothing to pack. You can leave through the same door you came in."

"Can I at least take my documents?"

It was the only thing my father let me take from home. I left with the clothes on my back, my documents, and my cell phone. Not knowing where to go, the only place I knew had love and understanding was at the home of my godmother, Ava.

"“I can't believe you went through this, my love. George is crazy, and you're just like him. How can you leave your own house? He should be the one to leave. The house is yours.”"

"You're right, Godmother. I'm going to find a lawyer, get what's rightfully mine, and think of a way to get back at those two. This won't stand. They won't laugh and have fun at my expense."

I took a shower and gathered all the documents I had. To my misfortune, the lawyer's office was very close to Moore Corporation. I never imagined that Josh would be there, but as soon as I got off the subway, I came across him at the company's door.

"“What are you doing here? If you came to beg me to come back and go through with the wedding commitment, you're wrong. You made me go through the worst humiliation, having to cancel a wedding just hours before it took place.”"

I let out a laugh.

"“Not even if you were the last man on earth would I go back to you.”"

"“You think you're very important, don't you, Maya?”"

"I am very important, ex-dear. I love myself and value myself. It's a good thing I woke up in time and caught you red-handed. Imagine me marrying a worm like you."

"“Listen here, you're already crossing the line.”"

"Excuse me, Josh, the world doesn't revolve around you. I have better things to do than waste my time with your insufferable presence. Oh, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I hope it happens this time. Maybe you can catch your 'bride' with someone else.”"

"All this is just sour grapes because I traded you for Kate. I just realized you're not good enough for me. Look at me, Maya, and see that you're a poor thing who would be at my feet. My desire was to fly at his neck, but when I went to slap his face, he pushed me, and I fell badly and was left with a huge pain in my ankle while watching him enter the company's door. Besides taking me to the hospital, he listened to my whole rant and smiled. It was comforting to be able to vent all that pent-up anger. It was immense.

After boring him with my story, I apologized for bothering him, but he asked me to tell him more and to continue with my story. The only thing I said was that I wanted revenge, to get a better groom than Josh, and to make his and that bitch Kate's lives hell. He stopped to think for a moment, and suddenly he looked at me seriously, took my hand, and looked deep into my eyes.

"“And you succeeded in giving great pleasure to Nathan Ford Moore, your fiance.”"

That name wasn't unfamiliar, and I wasn't following what he was saying.

"“I don't understand what you're saying.”"

"Isn't that what you want? A groom who's better than Josh, and revenge on both of them? I'm willing to help you. We get married, and I help you get revenge on your new ex and your ex-best friend..."
