They more or less just soled her out by marrying her to Augustus
It was a political marriage profiting both sides. But that was all to it. Only profit.
Eleanor was unaware of these trades behind her back, and all she thought was a young and handsome man came to save her, the Damsel in Distress and naturally she fell in love with her savior
But after the marriage Augustus did not give her a second glance
Longing for his warmth she played all the tricks up her sleeve
She thought that her image was already ruined, so she might as well try this last triumph card
