"Grandpa can I ask you something?"

"Since when do you need permission to ask something to me? So now tell me what you want to know."

After hearing this question the old man Stops his work and turns to his 5-year-old grandchild. He smiled lovingly to his grandchild and asked

"Where did you hear about mate?"

The child smiles happily at his grandpa and gave him the book he was holding the whole time and said

"Brother was reading this book and said he wants a mate."

"Really? your brother said he wants a mate"

"hm! So what is mate?"

"Come here."

The boy stands up and sits on his grandpa's lap and watches him curiously. After sitting comfortably with the child in his lap the old man started to say

"Mate is our other half."

"The other half."

"Yes the other half, .....it's about 100 years ago when every werewolf had their soulmate but unfortunately not now."

"but what is a soulmate?"

"Um..... soulmates are like you and your wolf."

The child became quiet like he was thinking about something and sometimes later he asked again

"Then that means Jacob has his soulmate then why does he need another soulmate?"

The grandpa smiled at his grandchild question and faced the kid with a sad smile and said

"You are right Christ, Jacob has his soulmate, but the mate is kind of different from the wolf."

"How?"

"Um..... you have a truck right which has 3 different parts, soulmates is just like that. Moon goddess divided our soul into 3 parts one is you, second is your wolf and the third one is your mate."

"Then where is my mate?"

Hearing this question from the child the grandpa becomes quiet because he doesn't know how he will be going to answer the child question that they don't have their mate that they are not complete. He is going to be mateless because of the curse caused by their ancestors.

"Where is my mate grandpa?"

"Now we don't have a mate child."

"But why?"

The child asked curiously and hopefully that his grandpa is going to answer his questions about why he doesn't have a mate.

"It's because our ancestors killed someone's mate and not only someone's mate but a mother of the pack."

After hearing his grandpa's answer the boy asked

"Mother of the pack? Do you mean Luna?"

"Yes! Luna."

They are talking like that for a long time where the child asked questions and his grandpa gave him the answers. Just like that the boy fell asleep on his grandpa's lap.

No no that can't be true, yes I wanted mate, but that can't be my mate what if he is telling lies after all I can't sense my mate that's impossible, and even he is telling the truth I can't accept him. You have to be kidding with me moon goddess he is a vampire, and I am a werewolf we can't be the mate. Yes I think he has some hidden agenda that's why he is telling me that he is my mate because he knows that I can't sense my mate, yes that's the matter.

He can't be here now they will be going to kill him. Why is he following me that is not good, that is not good for anyone.

Jessica pov

"Phil where are you? I'm scared they are coming they wanted to kill me. Where are you Phil?"

Again! It's almost like a month ago since I'm having the same dream again and again. But this dream is different it feels real like it is happening or happened before. The girl in my dreams do I know her? It felt like I knew her, it's like I have some connections with her like she is telling me something. And Phil? Why does this name make me feel emotional? Why does this name make me feel sad and at the same time happy, safe? It is just a dream but still it has such an effect in my life, Why?

"Hey Jess are you okay?"

I'm so in my thoughts that I didn't even notice Erica. She is sitting in front of me and I still have not noticed her.

"Yeah I'm alright. Just a bad dream."

Hearing my answer she became concerned and sat beside me

" The same dream again?"

I didn't say anything just sat there silently, and she also didn't ask anything which I'm glad about. After sitting like that for some time I come down from the bed, and go to the bathroom for my morning routine. The entire morning passed like always she did not ask me about the dream again, she never did, actually. We have been friends since childhood, and she knows me better than anyone she knows when I'm sad when happy and when something bothers me, she knows everything about me and I know everything about her. But about this dream I did not tell her anything nor did she ask.

It's happening again the same dream the same girl and the boy. Why am I seeing them again and again, why the hell the girl is in the pool of blood? And why the hell my wolf became reckless whenever I saw the girl in my dream? And why did I want to destroy my own pack after seeing the dream? Why? Why? Why?

"Again the same girl?"

"Stop following me Ronan. Go back to the pack."

"You know what I thought you need to stop running, and talk about your dreams with the Alpha or Luna you know.?"

I didn't say anything to him because I know maybe he is right, but I don't want to talk about the dream with mom and dad. It's just a dream and nothing much maybe after some times it will be going to despair on its own.

"Look I know it's just a dream, but this dream makes you reckless, and you also know that right that we don't have a mate to claim your wolf which can affect the pack and that's not good for anyone especially because you are going to be an Alpha remember?"

"Good, now let's go to the pack house Alpha is looking for you?"

My wolf Mika said to me through our link and I also think that it's time to say about my dream to mom and dad and also about the mysterious mark on my shoulder, which appears suddenly after my 20th birthday.

"I don't know maybe some allergies and again we are werewolves it's impossible to have and allergies right."

"Yeah maybe dad knows something."

Mike pov

After running when I come to the pack house I can feel the tension from everyone. I can see the concerned face of my father and out of curiosity I asked my father's Beta

"Uncle what is happening? why is everyone tense?"

Uncle Jack looked at me surprised and after some quiet time he said

"It's because of the vampires. One young vampire was spotted near the moonlight pack."

"Moonlight pack?"

Moonlight pack! I don't know why but whenever I hear the name of this pack my heart hurts like someone attacked me with a knife. It hurts so much that I feel like someone is tearing me apart and I can't do anything. And at the moment I don't know what is happening or what they were saying the only word that I heard is the moonlight pack and I feel dizzy all of a sudden and everything becomes black around me.

Everywhere is dark I can't see anything, and then I heard a voice, a voice of a girl and boy

"Phil did you feel something like something is off, like there is something which is not right. I don't know, but I feel like something bad is going to happen."

I followed the voice and then to my surprise I was seeing the same girl and boy from my dream. They are walking side by side with their hand intertwined, they look happy, happy with each other. I have been watching them from afar but still I feel like I am with them living there every moment not as a third person but as one of them.

"Don't think like that Rose. You don't have to be scared of anything because I will protect you from everything. You are safe with me and with my pack, even if I'm not there to protect you my pack will always be there for you."

But suddenly they are going very far away from me. I feel like l can't reach them. My legs became numb, I couldn't move my legs. And suddenly there is blood everywhere. I was standing in a pool of blood. A few feet away Rose was lying unconscious in Phil's lap. Phil is sitting with Rose like a statue with no movement. I felt the ache returning in my chest again. Why is it like I am the one who is feeling the pain Phillip should have felt? why am I feeling like someone is ripping my heart apart. I can't breathe, I am desperately trying to inhale some air into my lung but I am failing miserably. Everything is hurting! My heart, my body everywhere. I feel like a thousand needles are entering my body slowly, and I can feel every needle touching my skin one by one. It's like I'm dying, but still alive.

"…ke?"

"Mike........just.....em....up."

"Mike gets up it's just a dream. Please."

When I opened my eyes I saw my mom was crying besides me. And by the look of the room I think I'm in the hospital.

"Mom!"

"Mike are you alright? Do you need something? Do I need to call the doc…"

"Mom! I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Mom, It's alright. By the way what happened?"

Mom did not say anything just looking at me concerned.

Again it's hurting after hearing the moonlight pack but this time it hurts in my shoulder where the mysterious mark has appeared suddenly.

Mom ran to the doctor, a few seconds later mom came with a doctor and dad was also with them.

"Mike what is that mark and how did you get it?"

"I don't know. It appeared suddenly after my 20th birthday."
