Her father loved her sister Devika because she was firstborn and mother loved her son Venky, because he was youngest. Sahana was middle child who always comes after her brother and sister. Her mother and father treated her siblings better than her until she was ten she thought it was normal, but at some point she began notice the difference between her and her siblings.

It made her very sad that she started crying and laid on the floor to throw tantrums.

Sahana's mother got irritated by and scolded her, but her father got annoyed and slapped her and started to hit her with a stick, he hit until she told them that she doesn't want anything for her birthd . She got wounds and bruise on her birthday, birthday it trauma for her, she never celebrated her birthday again. After a while her parents felt sorry for her,, but instead giving an apology they said it's all her fault, and she needs to more understanding and forget what happened on birthday and move on. Two months after that incident it was her sister Devika birthday, they gave a very beautiful and costly dress for her, and after three months it was her brother Venky birthday he also got a very costly clothes and toys, it repeated every year but she never got her own new dress. She got her older sister used clothes, which was not her size at all.

Sahana don't know what she did wrong, when she tried to ask her parents always do the same thing as her birthday and said to forget everything, it became a habit for her to forget things. At first, she only tried to forget the pain, but eventually she started forget all related things, and now it became worse, she started loose memories too. It got more serious day by day, now she lost all her childhood memories. If she didn't see a person a few months she would forget them.

Sahana was seventeen years old when her father died. Even now no one knows her condition.

Sahana's father used maintain all the household and budget while her mother became a breadwinner. His passing away made the house in disorder. her mother struggled to keep everything in order as before, but it was too overwhelming for her. Because it was Rekha that Sahana would be working for, so it will be fine. In the end she agreed to this matter.

Sahana didn't know anything about New York, and she can't speak English well but after living there for a year, so she could understand it if they speak slowly. Every month Rekha would send money to Sahana's mother account and her sister is already got married, but Sahana is forgetting about everything. After going there her condition only got worse she already forgets about her father and she can't remember her mother face, and now she feels like all her emotions are dried up.
