It was morning and Yesha's first time at school in Japan. Yesha woke up to get ready. She took off her necklace, placed it on the bed, and went to the bathroom to take a shower. After showering, she started to put on her uniform when her aunt Tony suddenly shouted.
"Yesha, what are you waiting for? Come down now, you'll be late for school," Tony said to her niece. "I'm coming," Yesha replied to her aunt. Yesha hurried down the stairs, leaving her necklace behind, unaware that she had forgotten to put in her bag.
As Yesha was going down, a car was ready for her, and Tony spoke, "Hurry up, you'll be late for school. I've prepared the car, and I instructed your bodyguards to watch over you carefully." Yesha just smiled and said, "Aunt, don't worry, I can take care of myself." Tony nodded and said, "Alright, just take care of yourself." Yesha smiled and said, "Okay, I'm leaving now, bye-bye." Tony smiled back and bid farewell to Yesha. Yesha got into the car and left with her bodyguards. They headed towards the school.Yesha was excited because it was her first day of school in Japan, and she studied the Japanese language.. After a while, they arrived at the school. Yesha got out of the car and walked towards her classroom, feeling even more anxious. When she touched her necklace, she remembered that she had left it at home and suddenly recalled memories of her father from the past.

Yesha stopped walking as she remembered the past, so she decided to forget what happened before and focus on her studies. As Yesha was walking along the hallway she accidentally bumped into a person which caused the both of them to fall on the ground, the drink spilled on both of their school uniforms. Yesha quickly standing up, Yesha helped the man and apologized. As Yesha looked at the man, her heart suddenly raced as if she had feelings for him. When the man stood up and looked at her, he suddenly became angry and said something.
"ARE YOU BLIND?!? WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU BRAT!!!"The boy exclaimed angrily as he stood up. "I-I'm sorry..." Yesha stuttered as she apologized, her body shaking in fear as she also stood up. "You better be, you ruined my shirt!" He huffed .She shakily replied "I..I'll just give you a new one..". He scored and said "Good for you to think of that, I just bought this yet you destroyed it! Do you know how expensive this is?!" She apologized once again as the boy stormed off."I am deeply sorry..."
Yesha calmed down and went to the bathroom to change her uniform. After changing, she walked towards the classroom. After a while, Yesha found her classroom, entered, and saw the man she had bumped into. Yesha was surprised, and her heart raced again, her face blushing. When the man turned to look at her, Yesha noticed and also turned her head without looking at him. The man looked out the window, and Yesha composed herself, sitting at a distance from him. After a while, their teacher arrived. The teacher introduced the students in Japanese, which Yesha didn't understand very well. After the introduction, the teacher suddenly said,
"Now, class, introduce yourselves to me and your new classmates." The students stood up one by one and introduced themselves. After a while, the person next to her introduced themselves, When it was her turn, Yesha stood up and said "Good morning, everyone. I am Yesha Ortega and I am a Philippine girl". After she introduced herself, the person beside her followed suit. Then, the guy who accidentally bumped into her said, 'Good morning, I am Ryota Tanaka." After speaking, he sat down as if he was talking as if he was not talking to anyone, and he rolled his eyes at his classmates and teachers. After everyone finished introducing themselves and the teacher started teaching their first topic, a few hours later, the bell rang for them to have a lunch break. They said goodbye to the teacher and the students went out for lunch break. Yesha also went out, went to the lunch break room, bought some food, and sat at a table to eat. After a while, she saw Ryota with his friends walking towards the guy with glasses. He bullied the guy, and Ryota hit the ball towards the guy and laughed.Yesha looked at them and felt sorry for the guy who was scared of Ryota. After a while, Yesha stood up, took the ball, and said, 'Hey Ryota, what did the guy do to you?' Yesha spoke with fear but pretended to be brave. Ryota looked at Yesha from head to toe rudely and said, 'So, you're Yesha, the one who bumped into me earlier.' Yesha raised an eyebrow and said, 'And why should I apologize to you when I already said sorry and paid for your uniform?' Ryota chuckled slightly and approached Yesha. Yesha stepped back, and Ryota leaned in close to Yesha, making her feel Ryota's warm breath on her face. Yesha turned around in the window pretending nothing see anything.Yesha's heart skipped a beat, and her face turned red,After a moment, the principal arrived and shouted, "Hey!" The principal approached them and said, "What's going on here? Why are you kissing?" Ryota's companion laughed, making Yesha's face even redder. Ryota, with a flushed face, got angry and said, "Sir, I was just talking to my new classmate." Ryota pretended to smile, looking like he wanted to punch the principal but restrained himself, only pretending to smile. The principal looked at Ryota and then at Yesha, asking, "Is what the boy said true?" Yesha felt scared as Ryota looked at her as if he had a plan for later. However, Yesha gathered her courage and told the truth, "No, he didn't. He bullied the guy with glasses." The principal turned to Ryota with anger, and Ryota quickly said, "Sir, don't believe her. What I said is true." The principal then looked at Ryota's companion, and they confirmed, "What Ryota said is true, sir. Ryota didn't cause any trouble; he just wanted to greet his new classmates." The principal looked at Yesha and Ryota, warning them not to cause trouble in the school. Both replied, "Yes, sir." The principal left, and Yesha calmed down, but suddenly, Ryota whispered in Yesha's ear, "Be ready when you get home." Yesha became scared again, and Ryota, along with his companion, left. When Ryota and his friends left, the boy with glasses approached and said, "Uh-uh, Yesha, thank you." Yesha quickly looked at him and replied, "You're welcome. It's just right to help you because they bullied you." The boy smiled slightly and said, "By the way, I'm Hiroki Takahashi." Yesha smiled back and said, "I'm Yesha Ortega, nice to meet you,Have we met?" Hiroki felt shy, looked down, and said, "Oh, yes, I saw that. We're classmates and we sit next to each other." Yesha smiled again and chuckled. After a few moments, the bell suddenly rang to signal the return to the classroom. Hiroki immediately noticed and said, "The bell has rung, do you want to go to the classroom together?" Hiroki felt embarrassed, but Yesha smiled and said, "Sure, let's go together." Hiroki smiled back and said, "Let's go!" The two walked to the classroom together, getting to know each other along the way. Unbeknownst to Yesha, Ryota was hiding nearby. When she noticed him, Ryota pretended not to have seen anything and continued walking. Yesha got angry and looked at Ryota, who just rolled his eyes and entered the classroom. Yesha and Hiroki followed, trying to calm down. Ryota gazed out the window, closed his eyes, and his charm suddenly captivated the girls, including Yesha, whose face blushed, and her heart skipped a beat.
Shortly after, the teacher entered, and the class began. After the lesson, everyone started to leave. Yesha pretended to leave the room but was called back by Hiroki. Surprised, she turned around and realized it was Hiroki. They left together, and on their way out, they saw Ryota and his friends playing baseball. Yesha stopped, and Hiroki, feeling scared, was comforted by her touch on his shoulder. She offered to give him a ride home, which surprised Hiroki, but he agreed. As they were about to leave, Yesha's bodyguards arrived to pick her up, startling Ryota and his friends. Yesha and Hiroki headed towards the car, and before getting in, Yesha instructed her bodyguards to drop off her new friend first.
During the drive, Yesha asked Hiroki why Ryota bullied him. Hiroki's expression changed, and he confessed that it was because he owed Ryota money that he couldn't repay, and he often hid to avoid him. This revelation saddened Hiroki even more. Yesha smiled and comforted him, asking about the amount of his debt. As they approached Hiroki's house, he got off and bid farewell. Yesha watched his house and said goodbye as Hiroki left. She continued her journey home, arriving after a while.
Yesha arrived at her mansion and was greeted by her yayas who opened the doors for her. She entered and said, 'I'm here.' Shortly after, Tony came out, hugged Yesha, and said, 'I missed you, my child.' Yesha chuckled and replied, 'Why would you miss me, aunt, I'm just studying, not going far away.' Tony laughed and told her to freshen up and rest because they would have dinner later. Yesha agreed and went to her room to change and relax.
While resting, Yesha suddenly remembered Ryota, and her face turned red as she recalled their close moments. She wondered why she fell for a guy like him, who was grumpy and a bully. Confused, she questioned her feelings. A maid knocked on her door, and Yesha allowed her in. The maid informed her that Tony had called her for dinner, and the food was ready on the table. Yesha acknowledged and said she would join later.
During dinner, Tony inquired about Yesha's studies. She replied casually, not revealing the true events of the day. Tony then asked if she had made new friends, to which Yesha mentioned one kind and smart boy. Tony advised her to be cautious around boys. Yesha defended her friend's character and excused herself after dinner, claiming she was full and needed to rest. Tony continued eating while Yesha retired to her room, reminiscing about her father and holding a necklace he gave her before falling asleep.
The next morning, Yesha woke up, showered, dressed, and went downstairs with the necklace. She found Tony eating breakfast and sat down. Tony asked about her sleep, but Yesha remained silent, focusing on her food. Tony persisted with his questions until she raised her voice, startling Yesha. She finally responded, and Tony advised her not to dwell on deep thoughts. Yesha excused herself and left for school.
Tony worried about Yesha's thoughts and sought help from his sibling to assist their child. When Yesha achieved a high rating at school, she encountered Hiroki at the gate, who suggested they enter the classroom together. Yesha agreed, and they walked towards the classroom. As they approached, they saw Ryota and his friends blocking their path. Hiroki stood behind Yesha, trembling with fear. Yesha gathered her courage and confronted Ryota, asking him what he wanted. Before Ryota could respond, the bell rang, signaling the start of the class. Everyone entered the classroom, and Ryota and his friends left. Yesha and Hiroki sighed in relief and proceeded to their classroom.
After the class, Yesha went outside of the classroom alone to breathe fresh air. While she was in the hallway, she heard a noise in the distance. She ran towards the noise only to stop when she saw Ryota. The one who was making the sound was a little stray kitten. Ryota stopped walking and patted the little kitten and gave it the leftover mochi he had. Then Ryota whispered to the kitten, "Eat well, little fella." Yesha saw everything while she was hiding behind the post, "Even though he's a bully, he's still kind towards a cute little kitten," Yesha said in her mind while blushing. Ryota walked away, and Hiroki ran to Yesha and asked what happened. Yesha told him everything and said she was going to adopt the little kitten, "What should we name her?" Hiroki asked, "Mochi, her name is mochi," Yesha replied.
After the last class, Yesha and Hiroki went home with the kitten and stumbled upon Ryota and his friends along the street. "I've got a bad feeling about this," said Hiroki, "Don't worry I got you," Yesha replied. Ryota looked at them with a shocked face. He was shocked because Yesha was holding the kitten he stumbled upon earlier.
"How did you get that kitten?" Ryota asked, "At the hallway, I will keep her. Any problems?" Yesha replied. Then Yesha's bodyguards arrived to pick up Yesha and Hiroki. Hiroki got inside first, then Yesha shortly went after. Then Yesha opened up the car window and said, "By the way, I named her Mochi!" Ryota was left speechless as Yesha's car went on. His friends asked Ryota about the kitten. "Nothing," Ryota replied.
Yesha arrived home and hugged Tony, "I'm sorry about earlier," said Yesha. "Don't worry about it," Tony replied to Yesha. Yesha then introduced her kitten Mochi to Tony. Then Yesha went to her room, changed her clothes, and took a shower. Yesha was called to have dinner. While at the dinner table, Tony mentioned that he had a small cushion for Mochi to sleep on. Yesha thanked Tony and went back to her room. She then prepared food for Mochi and prepared the small bed for Mochi. Mochi was asleep, and Yesha fell asleep shortly after. Yesha woke up with Mochi beside her. She took a shower and changed her clothes. On the way to have breakfast, one of the maids said that someone was at the door. Yesha opened the door and saw it was Ryota. Yesha was in shock and closed the door as fast as she could before Tony could see him. Ryota giggled and said to himself, "Is she afraid of me or what?" Ryota then went back, and Yesha was relieved. Yesha had breakfast with Tony and went to school.
After she arrived at school, she saw Ryota and confronted him. "What were you doing outside of my house?" said Yesha, "You don't know?" Ryota replied, "What don't I know?" Yesha replied. "We live in the same neighborhood, and what's even better, my house is next to yours," Ryota replied. Yesha was in shock. She slapped Ryota in the face and said to him, "You liar!" and she ran to her classroom and left Ryota angry. When she arrived at her classroom, she saw Hiroki at the corner of the classroom crying. Then Yesha asked what happened, and Hiroki said it was nothing. Yesha knew that there was a problem, but she just let Hiroki have time to think. Shortly after, the class started. Their professor in the subject "Shōka" entered the class and told everyone that their school would be having a "Singing Event" where the winner would represent their school in the divisions. Yesha remembered that she used to sing. It was her talent, but it stopped due to her father passing away. Yesha remembered every second of those moments.
(FLASHBACK)
(Yesha singing "Salamat" while laying down on her father's lap.) 🎶"Ang wating itoy para sa'yo, at kung maubos ang tinig di magsisisi, at ang iyong narinig mula sa labi ko, Salamat... salamat"🎶"Yesha?" her father asked. "Yes?" Yesha replied. "If you're ever feeling alone, just sing that song. Remember you will feel that someone is by your side," her father replied. "But you won't leave me, right? Unlike mom," Young Yesha asked. Her father replied by nodding his head. Yesha continued to sing. "Just continue singing, you're getting better. After that, you will show your talent to the whole world. Me and your mother will be so proud of you," her father said. "Will mom ever come back to us?" Yesha asked, but her father didn't answer.
The next day, Yesha woke up and got out of her bed. Then suddenly she tripped over and accidentally dropped the picture of her and her father, the glass of the picture frame broke. Yesha knew something was wrong. She ran to her father's room only to see that her father h@nged himself. Yesha was traumatized by what she saw. She went out of their house and cried for help. Luckily, their neighbors helped Yesha to bring her father to the hospital, but it was too late...
Yesha was devastated by her father's death. After her father's burial, she planned to also h@ng herself. As she was going to commit suicide, Tony arrived and saved Yesha. "What were you thinking!" Tony asked. Yesha didn't reply and cried. Tony comforted Yesha. Tony told Yesha that she was going to adopt her. At first, Yesha didn't want to accept Tony. She only wanted her father to be with her. Yesha remembered the song, "Salamat"... She sings "Salamat"... After she sang the song, Yesha felt like someone is by her side, it was Tony, the one who was sent by her Father to protect and love her at all costs. Yesha hugged Tony and shortly after, she accepted Tony as her guardian. Tony treated Yesha like she was her real daughter.
(END OF FLASHBACK)
Tears poured down on Yesha's cheeks, and she said to herself, "He said he won't leave me. Why, father, why?" She wiped her tears and gathered all her courage and raised her hand. "Professor!" Yesha said, "Yes, Ms. Ortega?" Their professor asked. "I'd like to join the Singing Event," Yesha replied. "Looks like Ms. Ortega has a hidden talent," their professor said to the class. The whole class started cheering for Yesha. While Ryota at the back stared at Yesha with an angry expression. During recess, Yesha and Hiroki went to the cafeteria and talked about the Singing Event. Yesha excused herself to Hiroki and went to the bathroom, then suddenly... the ground started shaking...
"An earthquake!" A student yelled. "Everyone listen! Duck! Cover! And Hold!" A teacher yelled to the class. The students followed what the teacher said. Everyone was scared and yelled very loudly...
The students all got scared when the ground started shaking. The earthquake wasn't too strong, but it made everyone panic. Yesha was in the bathroom, feeling really scared. She ran out into the hallway, but then she felt dizzy and collapsed. Luckily, Ryota saw her and carried her on his back to safety. Everyone was surprised to see Ryota helping Yesha. Hiroki was happy to see that Yesha was okay. The earthquake stopped, and everyone was safe.
An ambulance came to help the students who were hurt. Yesha woke up in Ryota's arms, still feeling a bit dizzy. She hugged Ryota and said thank you. Ryota blushed a little and said, "You're welcome." He explained that he had to help, there was no other choice. Yesha understood and thanked him again.
After that, Ryota walked away without saying anything. Yesha shouted "Thanks again!" but Ryota kept walking. Hiroki and Tony came to check on Yesha. Tony hugged her and asked if she was okay. Yesha said she was fine. Tony talked to the teachers and found out that classes would only be suspended for one day.
Later, Tony asked Yesha about Hiroki, the boy she talked to earlier. Yesha said he was a good friend. Tony wasn't used to having guy friends, but she liked Hiroki. Yesha thanked Tony and said goodbye to Hiroki. She saw Ryota in the distance and wanted to thank him again, but she decided it was better not to say anything. They all went home and were greeted by their caretakers, who were worried but relieved that everyone was safe.
Yesha went to her room and saw her cat, Mochi, sleeping on her bed. She greeted Mochi and fed her. Then she took a shower and changed into her pajamas. She peeked out her window and saw Ryota on his balcony. She quickly closed the window, feeling embarrassed. Then she heard a notification on her phone. Yesha checked her phone and saw a message from Hiroki asking if she was okay after the earthquake. She smiled and replied that she was fine, thanking him for his concern. Then she received another message from Ryota, simply saying, "Glad you're okay." Yesha felt a mix of emotions as she read Ryota's message. She wasn't sure how to respond, so she decided to leave it unanswered for now.
Later that evening, Yesha joined Tony for dinner, and they discussed the events of the day. Tony expressed her relief that Yesha was safe and praised Ryota for his quick thinking in helping her during the earthquake. Yesha nodded in agreement, acknowledging Ryota's unexpected act of kindness.
Before she went to bed, Yesha sent a message to Ryota, thanking him once again for his help during the earthquake. She expressed her appreciation for his actions and the unexpected gesture of kindness. After which she went to bed and drifted off to sleep.
In the morning, Yesha woke up happily, and her nanny knocked on her door to have breakfast. Yesha answered yes, got out of bed, and prepared her things. After preparing her belongings, she opened the window and took a deep breath. After a few moments, she saw Ryota downstairs, who also opened his window. Ryota's house was small compared to Yesha's large and wealthy one. Ryota's life was simple, unlike Yesha's.
When Ryota opened the window, Yesha and Ryota looked at each other and smiled playfully. Ryota smiled with his eyes closed and blushing cheeks. Yesha screamed and her face turned red. Yesha quickly closed the windows as if she had been startled. She turned around, took a deep breath as if she had seen a ghost, and her heart raced. She blushed even more and held her chest with both hands as if having a heart attack. It was the first time Yesha saw Ryota smile, bringing with it a sense of handsomeness, making her heart beat faster than before. Yesha is starting to wonder, as if she is not herself and feeling confused. Tony is eating and waiting for Yesha to come down. He notices that Yesha still hasn't come down and says, "Nanny, please call Yesha upstairs. I've been waiting for her here, and my food is almost gone." The nanny responds, "Yes, ma'am," and walks towards Yesha's room. Meanwhile, Yesha is still unable to resist thinking about Ryota, holding her chest and breathing deeply as if she can't breathe. The nanny knocks on the door, and Yesha suddenly turns around, slightly surprised, and says, "Wh-what?" The nanny answers, "Ma'am Yesha, ma'am Tony called you to eat. She has been waiting for you since earlier." "I'm coming," Yesha says. The nanny leaves without saying anything, seemingly disrespectful, while Yesha can't stop her thoughts, so she tries to calm herself down by breathing deeply. Yesha breathes easily, her heart rate slows down, she stands up, goes down the stairs, sits down, and eats as if nothing happened.
Tony is surprised and says, "Why did you take so long to come out?" Yesha stops eating, chuckles a bit, and says, "Hehehe, me? I was just looking for something." Tony is still puzzled, and instead of asking further, she just tells her to hurry up and eat because she's late for school. In a few moments, Yesha stood up immediately and said, 'I'm leaving now.' Tony replied, 'Okay, take care.' Yesha waved and got into the car and left. While they were traveling, Yesha saw Ryota walking towards school, wearing headphones and using his cellphone.
Yesha quickly thought whether she should offer Ryota a ride in the car or just leave him walking. Yesha was hesitant and confused, so she told her bodyguard, 'Stop the guy walking.' The bodyguards nodded and stopped. Ryota didn't notice the car stopping beside him. Yesha opened the car window, smiled, and said, 'Hi, would you like to ride with me?' Ryota didn't immediately notice as he was wearing headphones and focused on his cellphone (...). Yesha then instructed her bodyguards to follow the guy, and the bodyguards nodded and followed him. Yesha always waved at him and said, 'Hey!...' Ryota still didn't hear no matter what she did. Ryota blushed slightly, turned around, and after a moment, he sighed and said, "fine." Yesha smiled and said, "Oh, what are you waiting for? Get in." Ryota walked to the other side of the vehicle, got in, and the car left for school. While they were traveling, Ryota put on his headphones and focused on his cellphone again, while Yesha gazed at Ryota as if melting in her sight. As Yesha was looking at Ryota, Ryota suddenly turned to look at her. Yesha was surprised when Ryota quickly turned to look at her. In turn, Yesha quickly looked out the window without looking back and as if nothing was seen.
They then arrived at their school, Ryota thanked Yesha for offering him a ride. "You're Welcome." Yesha said, then Ryota went inside of the school, he was greeted by his friends. Yesha was left alone but then she was greeted by Hiroki. They went into their classroom together, along the way, Hiroki asked Yesha if she was ok after the Earthquake. Yesha replied and said she was good.
When they arrived at their classroom, Their Professor was already there. They said sorry because of being late. Their Professor said that they were not late, he just came in early to announce something. Hiroki and Yesha was relieved and sat down on their desks. Their Professor then called Ryota in front of the class, he then gave him a Certificate of Appreciation for saving Yesha from the Earthquake.
Everyone clapped for Ryota. Shortly after, the class started. After the class, it was recess. Yesha and Hiroki along with some of their classmates went to the cafeteria. While eating, Yesha saw Ryota and she courageously went to him. She thanked him again for saving her and for texting her if she was ok. Ryota laughed along with his friends and said "You really thought I texted you?" Yesha was confused and said "Then who was the texting me?". Ryota then pointed at his friend, Yesha then walked to Ryota's friend and slapped him in the face. Ryota was shocked on what Yesha did to his friend, "If you didn't offer me a ride earlier, I would have punched you by now" Ryota said "Are you that childish to punch a girl's face?" Yesha replied.
"Yesha offered you a ride earlier? Uyyyy something's happening between them!" Ryota's friends said, "No! I just couldn't reject the offer" Ryota replied "Why though?" Ryota's friends replied. Then Yesha walked out of the scene angrily, "I should've trusted a boy like him" Yesha Said in her mind.
She went back to her table with Hiroki. Shortly after, the bell rang signaling for their return in their classrooms. While walking down the hallway, they saw a girl crying. They approached the girl and suddenly the girl ran away from them. Yesha and Hiroki chased down the girl, then the girl suddenly slipped and fell on the floor. Yesha and Hiroki helped the girl to stand up.
Turns out she was a new student at their school and she was their classmate, "My name is Sakura" The girl said, "Nice to meet you, Sakura" Yesha said. Then they went to the classroom to start a new class.⚫
