Married My Brother-In-Law ~ [ TAEKOOK ]
~MMBIL : 1~
The grand chandelier hanging from the ceiling of the Kim estate’s ballroom reflected thousands of glittering lights, but none of them reached the pokerness on 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗧𝗮𝗲𝗵𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗴’𝘀 face.
His jaw was locked as he stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, his hands tucked in the pockets of his tailored black slacks.
Beyond the glass, the evening sun bled golden light into the sky, but he saw none of its beauty.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
You're quiet today, son.
Taehyung didn't turn. He didn't need to. His father's voice was always calm, composed—a businessman’s voice.
The same voice that had announced over breakfast that morning, with a sip of bitter black coffee and no regard for his children's emotions.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
“The wedding will proceed this month.”
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*stared at him*
His spoon halfway to his mouth.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
“Whose wedding?”
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
“Your sister’s. Soohee will be 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 Jeon Jungkook. The date’s been fixed.”
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Paused and looked at Mr Kim*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Raised an eyebrow at her reaction*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
"Y-You fixed my marriage without my consent and knowledge!?"
*Asked Mr Kim*
Taehyung stayed silent. His eyes taking chances to look at his father and sister simultaneously.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"I'm your father. I have the right to fix your marriage!"
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
"Father? Right!? YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE SUCH A BIG DECISION OF MY LIFE!"
*Banged the table and stood up*
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Sit Down Soohee. It's against manners to shout while eating!"
*Said to her in a stern voice*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Look at his mom*
"Well ain't it against manners to fix someone's marriage without their consent?"
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Roll eyes at Taehyung*
"Stop pretending like you care!"
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
"I'm sure you're the one who's gloating the most about this situation!"
*Spat angrily*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Roll eyes back at her*
"Trust me. I'd be more than happy to see you out of my sight!"
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Shut it both of you!" 💢
*Banged hand on the table*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Not A day passes by where I don't see you two fight!"
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Tsked silently*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Don't you dare roll your eyes at me, Young Lady!" 💢
*Warned Soohee*
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
*Silent all along*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Grit teeth but stayed silent*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"I wasn't asking you all! I was telling you! The marriage has been fixed. And there's no argument or otherwise! The wedding will proceed as it's been decided!"
Mr Kim Said and stood up. He buttoned his coat and walked towards the porch of the mansion, leaving behind 2 raging people. Undoubtedly his children.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Threw the plate on the floor and ran upstairs in anger*
"Fvck Everything!"
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Soohee Behave yourself!" 💢
*Shouted behind her*
But Soohee paid no attention to Her.
Right now she was vengeful.
All she wanted to do was tear everyone down apart!
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Look at his mom indifferently*
( Today they've sold her. Tomorrow they'll do the same to me. Biological or not. Who cares. As long as their so-called business keeps expanding. They'd give a damn about us. )
Pushing Aside his thoughts, Taehyung stood up.
He gracefully wiped his mouth with the napkin and settled it aside before turning to walk upstairs.
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"You're her big brother. Make her understand. Play your role in the family!"
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Paused on tracks and look at her*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
"You think I'll do the effort of playing the big brother role? And what in the world made you think that your daughter will listen to Me? She'd rather Strangle herself to death then listen to me."
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
"Just do what you're supposed to do. We brought you both up, now it's time you both uphold your responsibilities as Heirs of Kim's!"
*Said and walked out*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
"hEiRs Of kImS." 🙄
*Mimicked her and walked upstairs*
A deal sealed over coffee. A marriage born out of strategic business alignment. A life-changing moment handed over like an email attachment.
Now, 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 later, the air was suffocating.
His father, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝗺, spoke again.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
The Jeon family may no longer be as powerful as they once were, but 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗸 has rebuilt the company stronger than ever. Merging with them will secure our international expansion.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
Even if it means sacrificing your daughter’s happiness?
Taehyung asked 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝘆, finally turning.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
Happiness is fleeting. Power lasts. Soohee will understand in time.
*narrowed eyes*
Soohee Said in a stern voice from upstairs.
Soohee stood tall, clad in a pale peach gown, eyes fierce.
Her lips were curved into a tight smile—one Taehyung had seen before.
It was the smile she wore when she was planning to burn the house down without lifting a single match.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
I won’t marry him.
*Declared while stepping down*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
*Face 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱*
You don’t get to decide.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
Yes, I do.
*Shot back*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
You may have 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 me, raised me in this house, given me your name, but that doesn’t give you the right to sell me like some—
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
You will not disgrace this family in front of outsiders! 💢
*Voice Thundered*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Stepped in between them*
She's not a Bargaining chip, Appa.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Looked at his back and rolled eyes*
( Attention seeker! )
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
And neither are 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
*Said Coldly*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
But if she runs, the press will need a face for this alliance. And 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 will do nicely.
The words didn’t register at first. But when they did, they hit like a blade across Taehyung’s chest.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
What?
*Whispered*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
You heard me.
*Said while taking a last glance at both of them and left*
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
Don't disappoint us, both of you.
*Walked after her husband*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Clenched the glass in his hand*
He's gone 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
Now that I think of it...
*Smirked*
He's kinda right. if I run away, poor You will have to marry that Jungkook.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Glared at her*
Don't you dare pull any stunts that will put me in a tight position.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
Oh I sure will. I'll do 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 to out you in a tight position.
*Spat with hatred*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
You're even more bonkers than that old man. Arguing with you is like talking to a wall.
*Rolled eyes at her and walked away* 🙄
Soohee Looked at Taehyung's back. Her nails digging into her palm as she looked at him with 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗱.
𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛 ~
The previous plot.... it was very dead. I wasn't getting any ideas to write further. this Time the plot has been changed. But don't worry. The scenes of the previous plot will be re-written in this plot too. so that you guys don't feel Completely detached.
𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛 ~
The main things that both plots have same were :
• Soohee running away and Taehyung replacing her.
• Jungkook being a cripple.
• His aunt plotting against him.
• Contract marriage with Taehyung.
• Hatred to love.
• Taehyung being soft towards Jungkook after Marriage.
~MMBIL : 2~
The 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 sat in the middle of nowhere, a fortress carved from stone and silence. The walls stood tall, strong, Despite the horrors of the past. The blossoms were in full bloom, their petals dancing in the wind like 𝗴𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 of a past Jungkook didn’t care to remember.
Inside, the mansion was a museum of 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲—marble floors that echoed every sound, gold accents on antique furniture, massive oil paintings lining the walls with eyes that followed you as you passed. There was 𝗻𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗺𝘁𝗵, no laughter, no memories worth keeping. Just 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. Just 𝗵𝗶𝗺.
𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗸 sat in his study, a room cloaked in dark wood and dim lighting. Floor-to-ceiling shelves held books he’d never read, and a fireplace sat unused despite the lingering chill in the air. A laptop rested on the mahogany desk in front of him, its screen filled with codes and market graphs.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Eyes focused on the screen while typing*
He was dressed in his office suit, his shirt rolled up to his elbows, exposing his forearms — strong but stiff. His legs, 𝘂𝗻𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴, were clad in tailored slacks. The 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿 beneath him was custom-made: matte black, 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰, and 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹. Just 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗺.
𝚄𝚗𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗 ~
𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 :
*knocked on the door*
Jungkook hummed lightly. An indication to allow the housekeeper in.
𝚄𝚗𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗 ~
𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 :
Sir, your coffee.
*said softly, placing the cup on the table*
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Didn't look up*
Thank you, Mia. You may Leave.
She bowed slightly and exited as silently as she came. He liked it that way. No 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. No 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 glances. Just space.
His fingers danced over the keyboard, working through a glitch in the security interface of one of his companies. His mind was 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, always two steps ahead.
It had to be. In this world, only the cunning survived — especially when you were 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗸, the 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗱 heir with a 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 soaked in betrayal.
A Sharp 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 broke the silence.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Frown and looked at his phone*
A message flashed on the screen, the name alone enough to make his 𝗷𝗮𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 at it for few moments*
Then, reluctantly, he tapped it open.
"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘥. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘪𝘮 𝘚𝘰𝘰𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩. 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧."
His 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 went 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹. For a heartbeat. Two. The only sound was the soft ticking of the clock on the wall.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Jaw 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱*
His fingers curled 𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝘆 around the phone, the screen dimming beneath the pressure of his grip. His 𝗸𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲𝘀 turned white. A wave of something 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸 passed through his eyes — 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘆, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁, maybe even something 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
So that's her next move…
*Muttered under his breath*
His voice low and bitter.
He 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗱 himself back slightly, his body 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗳 with tension. The name Soohee bounced around in his mind, not because he knew her—he 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁—but because of what she 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱.
Another 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 around his 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Chuckled bitterly*
Of course, it would be the Kim daughter. The prized little princess.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
And I’m supposed to be the crippled beast she gets thrown to.
*Whispered to himself*
He 𝘶𝘯𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘥 his phone again and reread the message. His aunt’s 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 was as 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 as ever — not a 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁, not even a discussion. Just an 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
Prepare myself.
*Repeated, scoffing*
What did she think? That he’d just 𝗻𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴? That he’d 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 marry into another powerful family just to keep appearances, just to make the 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻 name look respectable again? Did she really think he would 𝗹𝗲𝘁 her play god with his life one more time?
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Looked at his own reflection on the Laptop*
His reflection in the dark screen of his laptop stared back at him. 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘆 black hair, 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 eyes, and lips pressed into a line too tight for someone his 𝗮𝗴𝗲. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 and already 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱 out by everything he had 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Leaned back slightly, trying to ease the tension*
Jeon Jungkook had survived the 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘀𝘁 — the 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵, the 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗹, the years of being 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 about, 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗱. He had fought his way back up, piece by 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 piece. But now, this… 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗲?
His fingers trembled slightly, not from fear — but from 𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
(So this was how they planned to chain me down!?. Bind me to the one person who could destroy everything I had built.)
It wasn’t just a proposal. It was a 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽. A leash his aunt was throwing over his neck in the form of a pretty girl with the Kim surname.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Controlling from bursting out*
A part of him wanted to laugh.
Another part wanted to smash the phone against the wall. Instead, he tapped out a cold, one-word reply.
He sent it. Then locked the phone and tossed it onto the desk.
Seconds passed. A minute.
“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦.”
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Throat tightened*
He had heard those words before. When they took 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 the estate. When they 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 into his 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 after the 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵.
When they told him he wasn’t 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 enough to run the 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀. When they told him to stay 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁, to be 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, to 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
Not this time.
*Murmured like a vow*
But even as he told himself that, he knew better. His aunt wouldn’t back down. She never did. And now that she’d made the arrangement with the Kim's, there would be 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 — 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, and 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 — if he refused.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
This doesn't mean that I'll submit!
Jeon Jungkook wasn’t someone to be controlled 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. Not by her. Not by anyone.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Rolled the wheelchair to the Ceiling length window*
He stared out at the lonely garden below. The cherry blossoms danced in the wind, soft and fleeting — a beauty that never stayed.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Exhaled slowly, Quietly*
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
If they want a marriage.
*Muttered, Voice Ice 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱*
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
Then they’ll get one. But not on their terms.
*Lips curled*
It wasn't a smile. Was a 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
He would 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 along. For 𝗻𝗼𝘄.
But when the time came — they’d 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘁 forcing his hand.
𝚈𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛 ~
Hehe goiz. Do you find the story good? and How's the vocabulary? Have Been working on it for months. I've also changed my style of writing. Adds more depth to the words. 💞

EID MUBARAK! ✨💗
The Grand ballroom was alive with golden light, crystalline chandeliers, and murmuring silk.
Laughter and whispers swirled under the soaring ceiling, bouncing between marble columns and expensive floral arrangements.
It was a night of celebration—or so they called it.
The 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 of Kim Soohee and Jeon Jungkook.
A union meant to strengthen two powerful empires. A deal masquerading as destiny.
Soohee stood beneath the grand chandelier in her peach gown. Stitched with gold thread, her arms stiff by her sides, her face stiff, unreadable.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*clenched hands tightly by side*
If only they knew what boiled beneath her skin.
To her left stood her adoptive father, Kim Jihoon, tall and composed in his deep navy suit.
He looked every bit the proud patriarch, smiling for the cameras, shaking hands with power-hungry guests.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
*Acting as the perfect host*
To her right stood her adoptive mother, a vision in pale lavender, whispering poisonous sweetness to anyone within reach.
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
*smiling while talking to guests*
𝙼𝚛𝚜 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
Smile. You're the star tonight.
*Murmured, nudging her*
Soohee didn’t move. Her gaze swept across the ballroom filled with socialites, media, and masked intentions.
Somewhere, a piano played something classical, gentle, utterly detached from the tension simmering beneath the surface.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Looking around, gaze speculating*
Taehyung stood by the bar, his face blank but his posture sharp.
He wore a black tux that hugged his tall frame effortlessly.
His dark brown eyes scanned the crowd like a wolf forced into a circus.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Drinking whiskey*
His jaw would tick every time someone would say something useless.
“𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦?”
“𝘗𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭. 𝘏𝘦’𝘴 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺.”
“𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘣𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮?”
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Rolled eyes*
( Why? Are you itching to share a bed with him!?)
He said internally. Voicing out his thoughts would undoubtedly lead to a fight. And this day, Demanded anything but a fight, specially at this event. Where his father was watching everything like a hawk, Making sure nothing went wrong.
“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘦𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘰𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴… 𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯.”
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*looking at them with disguised anger*
Her fists 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 at her sides, fingers digging into her palms hard enough to leave crescents.
She wanted to 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺—to shatter every crystal glass in the room. But she didn’t.
Because that would give them what they wanted: proof that she was unstable, 𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹.
Instead, she smiled faintly.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
( Just wait for my strike. I'll never forget this humiliation! )
*Thought menacingly*
Suddenly the whispers turned curious as a tall man entered the ballroom. Black suit, sharp glasses, a quiet confidence that parted the crowd.
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
*Greeted The Kim couple*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Lips curled into a sneer*
( Of course. The groom couldn't even bother to show up to his engagement! Must be embarrassing to show up bald and ugly! 🙄)
The secretary bowed respectfully to the Kim's before speaking in his usual cool tone.
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
Mr. Jeon sends his sincerest regards. Due to health reasons, he is unable to attend in person. I will oversee the engagement ceremony on his behalf.
There was a pause—a ripple of confusion and mild offense across the guests.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Stepped forward*
He didn’t even video-call?
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
No. Master Jeon does not partake in public events. I’m sure you understand.
*Replied smoothly*
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
*Chuckled awkwardly*
Of course, of course. What matters is that the bond is formed.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Tsked silently*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
( Dad is so.... Desperate 🙄)
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
( I knew it. He's definitely bonkers. That Jungkook literally disrespected him by not showing up, yet he's still acting so calm and composed. 😑)
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
( Money surely makes you blind.) 🙄
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
I have also brought someone who will represent the family for the ritual.
*Stepped aside*
A woman in her mid-sixties, dressed in a traditional black hanbok with silver embroidery, chin held high, steps echoing in the silence.
𝙰𝚞𝚗𝚝 𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 ~
*Walking elegantly*
Whispers flared again, louder now.
“𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘥.”
“𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.”
“𝘚𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘥? 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺.”
Hyesu walked with slow, 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 grace, nodding politely but coldly at the crowd. Her eyes were 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗽, lips painted blood-red, and not even age could dull the sense of 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 that clung to her like perfume.
When she reached Soohee, she stopped.
They stood in silence, eyeing each other like 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 sizing up the other.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Looking at her with concealed Hatred*
At this point Soohee hated anyone who had a hand in handing her over that cripple.
𝙰𝚞𝚗𝚝 𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 ~
I am 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱,
*Smiled Coldly*
To welcome you in the Jeon Family.
𝙼𝚛 𝙺𝚒𝚖 ~
We are honoured to Have joined hands With The Jeons. Soohee, my Dear. Show gratitude to Madam Jeon.
*Nudged Soohee, whilst pleasing Hyesu*
Soohee forced a bow, every inch of her screaming against it.
From a velvet box, Hyesu lifted a ring—platinum, cold, and heavy, studded with an onyx gem.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
*Judging the ring*
( So cheap.)
The room quieted as Hyesu took Soohee’s hand without asking. Her touch was firm, controlling. Soohee’s skin crawled, her expression frozen in place as Hyesu slid the ring onto her finger.
𝙰𝚞𝚗𝚝 𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 ~
There. You're Now a 𝗝𝗲𝗼𝗻.
*said with a hint of smirk*
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*Stiff, like a statue*
The Kim couple felt as if they were flying in the cloud. Their happiness at this moment knew no bounds!
A camera 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥. Then more.
The engagement was complete.
But Soohee felt like she was being buried alive.
As people surrounded her with fake smiles and congratulations, Soohee’s mind screamed.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
(𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺.)
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
( 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘰𝘬!)
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
( 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸! )
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚂𝚘𝚘-𝙷𝚎𝚎
*looked at the ring*
It felt heavier than it should've.
From across the room, her eyes met Taehyung’s again.
He was watching her like he knew—knew how much she despised this. How much she hated him too, for not stopping it. For being the favored son while she was the pawn.
𝙺𝚒𝚖 𝚃𝚊𝚎𝚑𝚢𝚞𝚗𝚐 ~
( You brought it upon yourself. Should've run away when had the chance.)
Meanwhile, in the shadows of the mansion’s private lounge, a camera was live-streaming the entire event to a silent office across the city.
Jeon Jungkook 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 from his study, eyes locked on the image of Soohee with the ring on her finger.
His face was 𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, but his fingers tapped rhythmically against the desk’s arm.
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
*Looking at the laptop screen attentively*
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
She looked like she’d rather stab someone than smile.
*Voice cracked into the microphone*
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
She's not the only one.
*Murmured*
𝙻𝚎𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚓𝚘𝚘𝚗 ~
Do you wish to send a message to the Kim's, Sir?
𝙹𝚎𝚘𝚗 𝙹𝚞𝚗𝚐𝚔𝚘𝚘𝚔 ~
No. Let them believe the rumors. it'll make everything easier.
Jungkook’s gaze lingered on the screen one last time before he turned it off.
