Furthermore, the boy was the sole heir of the Gu family. It was not much of a problem to marry his precious granddaughter to him. Hence, after a few months of contemplation, he announced the change in individuals of the original engagement.
The female lead got what she wanted and so naturally, she would be pleased. But who knew that, after a few months of their marriage, Marie would notice something in her husband she never expected.
Gu Yuchen was not the man she thought him to be. Not only was he cruel minded, he was also lustfully driven and would bring countless women home at night, commiting the deed in their matrimonial home. Marie was devastated. She never expected such a thing.
Then, through gossips and rumors spreading around. She came to learn that her barbaric sister, whom she had so much looked down on was happily married to Fu Siye, giving him three sons and pregnant with a daughter. Furthermore, Fu Siye's business continued to florish tremendously, breaking through the intercontinental border and reaching other regions of the world. He even held forty two percent of the world's resources.
What a great mistake she had made, she lamented.
In the end, the man she had so eagerly rejected was married to her sister, and gave her the best life she could ever get. She could not help but regret her decision. In fact, she had regretted it since a long time ago. The regret was so strong that she could not live to see another day.
Unexpectedly, when she opened her eyes again, she had been reborn. Reborn to right before she had been engaged to Fu Siye. What a miracle!
