Valentina's POV

The Marino family motto is "Ride or Die", which is exactly what got us all killed. My name is Valentina Marino, the last Marino. My family was killed by the Moretti family after getting involved a little too deep.

Thankfully, I survived, I've made my life purpose to avenge my family, and nothing will stop me. I've gone too far to turn back, now it's my turn for a joyride.

My first step is to seduce the second son of the Moretti family, I've been digging up some background, he seems to be the perfect target. Abused, daddy issues, mom wasn't treated right, he basically hates his family including his father, the one who murdered my family. If things go according to plan, both of us should be satisfied.

The problem is, he's not a fan of women. DAMN IT, if only he was, things would've been sooo much easier. But that's why I have a backup, since his mom is mentally ill, I can sign up to be her care taker. Now all I have to do is make up a resume and make sure they wont find anything but a normal life on the background check.

Enzo's POV

The Moretti family is notorious for keeping their end of the deal, if the other person can't, then they are killed, it's all really simple. Although I am a part of the family, I'm treated like an outsider. I have always lived in the shadow of my older brother. All the credit will always go to him, all the accomplishments are his, and he is the only one who did the hard work.

That's all a lie. I did the work. I did everything. I should be the one getting praised. But no, instead I was neglected, abused, mistreated, just like my mother.

One day I will take everything they own and desire away from them. They will regret ever messing with me or my dear mother. 

But right now I need to take care of my mother, I put out an announcement, hundreds of girls were lining up but none of them were worthy of taking care of my mother.

They all just want to get close to me.

"Why am I not surprised". I look through the applications and one catches my eye. I hate to admit it but the only reason this person intrigued me at first was because of her unique beauty.

Green eyes with a circle of light brown around her pupil, brown-blonde hair, wavy, her lips WHAT THE FUCK I shouldn't be thinking this! She's just...too pretty.

"Snap out of it Enzo!" I shake my head and try to look into her background.

Valentina's POV

Honestly I could've just went to one of their parties and met with Enzo, but something about his mom, she reminds me of my deceased family, for some wild reason that I do not have. My grandmother told to take care of everyone no matter what they did to you, I don't think I can do that, but I can help those who need an escape.

Everyone knows of the Moretti Dona, sick, ill, and crazy, she's the first I want to help, because of her husband, she was mistreated and if I'm going to get involved with their family and use them, I should at least do something sincere.

No one deserves to be used and then thrown away like trash, I know how that feels.

Everyone thinks I'm a sociopath, they think that because I put my own family in jail, even killed some of them, but all I was doing is getting rid of pests. Is that such a crime?

My uncle was corrupted, stealing family funds, a greedy little son of a bitch, so I got rid of him. Simple. I didn't kill him I just put him and jail and anyone else who was stealing and being deceitful.

The only people I did kill was my father and other people on his side of the family. He was abusive, drug dealer, alcoholic, thief, a player, who would've thought that his own daughter would come after him and beat him at his own game, I tortured him just like he did to me and my mom, he went insane, to the point where he would peel his skin. As horrific as it was, I've never felt so accomplished, he got what he deserved. He killed himself, somehow.

Then all the little drug dealers, identity thieves, and other thieves, I sent them to jail. Some I was asked to kill, without hesitation I did.

After the death of my family when I was seven, I never really seemed to care who died who lived. Mafias saw me as a killing machine, trying to recruit me.

Not really my thing, I fly solo, unless I'm desperate.

For my plan to work I can't get involved too emotionally, that will ruin it all, I feel like that's going to be hard. Enzo is just too handsome.

"OH MY GOD SNAP OUT OF IT" I slap myself and shake my head.

"I should probably check and see if I was selected.".

Enzo's POV

I check her background, "Nothing wrong it seems, she's perfect. Finally someone who isn't a stripper or a whore. Haha, I think she'd be great"

I hear my door open and I see my best friend Victor.

"Enzo! You find a girl yet?" He looks down at the application for Valentina.

"Look at this beauty, ain't she a goddess." I grab the paper and put it in a a locked drawer.

Victor laughs at my reaction, "Shut up will you?" I say annoyed.

"She's pretty alright. Pretty enough to make the cold heartless man jealous!" Victor keeps on laughing. I can feel my face turning red, I try to focus on my other work. 

"So, you gonna hire her?" Victor asks. 

I reply, "yes, she's got a clean background, the first one to have a normal upbringing."

"Can I do the honors and tell her she's been hired? Please!" Victor pleads. I'm amused by his reaction. I think about letting him but then I feel a bit jealous, I don't know why though.

"No, I'll do it" I give him answer. I chuckle as he complains and pleads only to tell him no again.

"Your cruel, you don't want to give your best friend a chance to find a partner. Your a bad friend" Victor complains.

"Oh please, all your gonna do is sleep with her and then drop her, like you do with all women" I argue.

Victor looks annoyed, he mumbles under his breath "I'll get her some how." I call Valentina, although it's late I hope she answers.

PHONE CALL

"Hello? Valentina speaking" Her voice sounds like one of an angel.

"Huh? Oh yes, my name is Enzo Moretti, I'm calling you to let you know you've been hired, I'll send you the address. Be here by 9 A.M. I look forward to having you work under me."

I try to stay calm, I've never heard such an angelic voice, it's making my member react, I try to keep calm as I wait for her response.

"Thank you very much Mr. Moretti! I'll be there right on the dot! I'll hang up now. Goodbye and have a good night's sleep!" 

PHONE CALL IS OVER

Valentina's POV

When I got the call that I was hired I felt relieved knowing that my plan has finally been set in motion. When I heard his voice I almost fainted, he sounded so hot, I've never heard anything like it.

I go to my work room and look at my plan, I wrote everything down behind the white board, of course no one knows that the whiteboard can be flipped. I take a look then go to my bedroom and get my outfit ready for tomorrow, a tight blouse, skinny jean, and of course, my favorite converse.

I get up at around 6 A.M. since the traffic here in New York is wild. I grab my bag which is loaded with secret weapons and tools and my phone, wallet, and makeup bag, always look good. I Call for a taxi and get in, I tell the taxi driver where to go. He asks if I'm sure I want to go there, and I reassure him that I am. he looks scared but takes me there anyway.

I enjoy the taxi ride and look out the window, New York looks like a trash hole but in reality it's just a place where everybody is trying to make something out of their lives. I put my earbuds in and listen to my favorite artists.

15 minutes later and I arrive at the Moretti Mansion, I brace myself because now, I'll be working around the people I resent the most, I must not let my emotions get to me. I pay the driver and walk up to the door.

"Why are there so many stairs?!" I can feel my knees wanting to give out. As I get closer to the door I get nervous, I take a deep breath and when I was about to knock on the door, the door flew open.

Enzo's POV

After I call Valentina, I keep thinking about her voice. I get my outfit ready for tomorrow, simple navy blue tuxedo, my black dress shoes, and the perfect tie and watch. When I go to bed, all I could think about was Valentina, her voice, and her picture, just perfect. I went to sleep thinking about her.

In the morning I got up earlier than usual and did my routine. I waited patiently for Valentina, when I checked for what it seemed to be the 20th time, she was there. Before she could knock I opened the door, there she was, an angel. Fuck me dead please, I mutter under my breath.

"What was that?"-Valentina

"Oh, it's nothing, please come in" I say. I don't think she knows how beautiful she is.

"Okay"-Valentina

"My mother is in her bedroom, let me take you there, also what would you like to be called?" I'm so curious about her, but if I get to excited she might think I'm perverted. As we walk to my mother's bed chamber Valentina tells me a little bit about herself.

"Huh? Oh! Yea, uh I'd love to be called Val, everyone calls me that."-Val

"Okay Val, meet my mom" I open my mom's bedroom door and gesture for Val to walk in.
