*Sapphire Town*

at the lighting festival

I was only 8 back then.l followed my friends to go to the festival happening at a nearby town.There were 5 of us.I wasn't excited or happy but if don't go I would have never had met I'm glad I went with them.

a friend of me called out

"hey! Dom what are you wondering about?come on we're going to be late for the festival."

while waving.

I ran to them in fear I'd get lost. I shouted"Guys wait for meee."Then I clumsily bumped in to some one who was running at the speed of light. I felt dizzy and numb for a minute.Then I saw her the person who bumped into me.She ran past me then turned back shouting while running backwards " I'm sorry! I really need to go. I hope you're alright ."and waved goodbye to me. she turned around her white dress flowing like a princess's ball gown.Her golden brown hair what's reflecting to the moonlight. her eyes are lightened by the lanterns at the entrance of the town. her skin was glowing with the light of the lantern. Then an adult men ran past me and shouted to the girl angrily"Amy come back! you're not going anywhere without selling these lanterns!." then he stopped and catched his breath. he turned to us looked us with his vicious eyes he had a straight face while breathing heavily. he had bloodshot eyes. he walked past us then proceed to walk into the entrance of the town. he entered the town then he disappeared through the crowd.

one of my friend helped me up it was James he said"Are you okay Dom?"then help me up. I dusted my clothes which was covered in from one eye bumped into her and tripped. I asked James" Are we at the festival yet."He smiled gently and said"look behind you. Her name it was Amy. Hearing the background of the noises.The reality hit me I looked around I saw the entrance of the town lit up with lights, candles and lanterns. It was a very busy town. with lots of people even at the entrance of the town there were stores and shops selling things I've never seen before in my village.

Expensive fabrics and desserts. I hear store owners shouting to buy from their store they shouted hair fabrics are good quality for their prices. well I didn't believe it of course. I see all the stores have the same fabric. The street was filled with the smell of perfumes and desserts I smell a hinge of chocolate. Thinking back to it makes me feel nostalgic.

I was escaping from my abusive dad. Whom was trying to make me sell lanterns on the street. then I bumped into him. so I turned back and said sorry . he had brunette hair. his eyes were shaped like an almond. then I saw my dad coming from behind them. he shouted at me to come back but I kept running. then I heard one one of his friends saying "Are you okay Dom?".Dom his name is Dom. I didn't think much of it of course. But the name Dom just kept ringing in my ears. I turned back again those boys were not there and also my father. Maybe he stopped trying and gave up. I knew if I go back I'm going to be scolded and beaten up. but I have nowhere to go. That night I slept under the giant tree which was at the entrance of the forest. The the tree had a root that was a hole which I can easily crawl into. I call it the comfortable treehouse. The treehouse was filled with candles .I reached in my dress's pockets to find a match I had stolen from my father. I lit the candles one by one lighting the whole inside of the tree.

Dearest readers I'm sorry for not being able to release a new chapter.I wasn't able to write a new chapter. I'm very sorry ! I have been really caught up with school work. and wasn't really able to write a new chapter. but it will be the best if you kind of understand. writing is my passion I have more books coming up after 10 months by then I'll release one chapter a day I hope you understand! thank you so much! for everything! I don't really want to do this but I can't provide you with a new chapter or a new book during school time so after 10 months I will definitely write many many more books by then I will release more books! thank you for understanding. I love everyone so much! and I won't be able to really read your comments during school time because I don't have the time I have to study really hard so everything really really hope you understand I'm very sorry for this. I really don't want to leave this writing is like my passion to escape life outside I don't really like the outside world it's hard to really survive . Writing is like expressing myself.
