Running through the forest wounded and bleeding profusely but l have to keep on running no matter what, I'm all bathed in blood and sweat with a big chunk on left arm bitten off.

The forest is so dark and l can't properly see where I'm going but the wolves chasing can see me, talk about the blood that's leaving trail for them to catch me.

*Flashback*

I am Lia Wilson, from Crescent moon pack. I'm both an omega and the pack's slave. I was adopted by the Wilson family at the age of five, my adoptive father was the Beta of the pack.

My life was perfect the first three years until l started getting bullied at school and the cause of that was my older brother Ryan and Shelby my sister who is the same age as me.

I endured in silence because l thought it would end. Ryan and Shelby weren't nice to me since the day l got adopted but I never said anything because our parents loved us equally.

Another year passed and the bulling never ended, suddenly my parents also started to treat me like a stranger after the priest said something about me to them.

I would get beaten and starved at home and school, everyone now saw me as a punching bag because my parents wouldn't do anything when l was hit at school.

My whole world turned upside down when l reached 15, l didn't shift like the others did. That made me criticized more than what they would do before, and the fact that l couldn't heal faster made me everyone's target. I was made the pack's slave and when l say no one cared l mean not even a single soul cared about me.

I was now eighteen, my brother was Jake sister's mate, Jake was Ryan's best friend and the alpha's son but now he was the alpha.

My sister was Jake's side chick, well that was complicated. There was a party at the packhouse and I was serving people food and drinks when a note was thrown at me.

I read the note again, this was definitely Jake's handwriting. I know it because this isn't the first time getting threat notes from him and his friends which includes my brother.

I curled my fist in anger, what now do they want from me this time. Taking a deep breath l walked out of the packhouse even though my gut was telling me not to go but I have no choice but to obey even if l don't want to.

The backyard was dim and the forest there was dark. I looked around for someone but before l could turn l was hit by a massive force at my back, l rolled on the ground and hit the wall.

It was Ryan, Mike and Jake. Ryan had kicked me, l coughed blood and tried to stand up but Mike and Ryan held my wrists tightly like I'm some prisoner.

"What do you want from me!?" I said trying to pry my hands free but they were too strong and l was weak.

Jake laughed wickedly and after he finished laughing he frowned.

"How can the Moon goddess give me a slave for a mate. What was she thinking." Jake said, when l heard what he said my eyes widened, Jake is my mate?.

"No no this isn't true, you are lying to me!!" I shouted at them.

"You think I'm lying, l would wish the same too but sadly the moon goddess just had to make you my mate." He said and l could see the evil in his eyes.

'why why why, haven't l gone through enough already Moon goddess, haven't l endured in silence because l thought you would save me.' All these questions clouded my head, l mastered some courage to say this.

"I Lia Wilson from Crescent moon pack, Reject Ja.......

I couldn't finish the rejection when l was met with a hard slap. I spit blood again and looked up at him, he slapped me, why? l know this was for the best by rejecting him.

"How dare you to reject me, you dared to reject an alpha!" Jake said and he slapped me again.

"Now you will see the consequences of what you tried to do!" He said and punched me in the face.

He started punching me and kicking me while l was standing there my hands held. I could feel the blood dripping from my face, nose and mouth.

He kicked me in the stomach and again coughed a mouthful of blood. I was feeling a bit dizzy from all the punches and kicks.

"I'm the alpha and l won't keep a weak thing in my slave, you are equivalent to a human maybe much more weaker than that." He said whipping his hand.

They left my hands and l dropped to the group. My whole body feels like I'm being ripped open.

"P....please don't kill me" I said in a low voice. Even breathing is hurting like hell.

"I Jake Valdez, Alpha of Crescent moon pack Reject Lia Wilson as my destined mate!" Jake said the words that l was hoping for.

I laughed, they all looked at me but l kept on laughing a laugh that was from sadness and hurt.

"What are you laughing at" Mike said.

"Let me tell you something, Jake." I said standing up dusting my rugged clothes.

"It's Alpha Jake, you dare call me by my name." He said with anger but I'm being courageous since I'm gonna die anyway so why not die after hurting his ego.

I whipped my mouth with the back of my hand.

"You know what Jake, you are a son of a b*tch and an assh*le that is afraid of being rejected by a girl, did my rejection hurt your ego." I said and laughed sarcastically.

"Shut up before l......

"Before what, huh. Kill me, yeah l know that." I cut his words short, l can see his veins bulging with anger.

It's now or never, l said this in my head before l sprinted to the forest, l know this is the baddest idea but what can l do. I heard bones cracking and l knew that I'm done for.

They are shifting, oh no. They can catch up to me in no time. The forest is dark and the branches are scratching me.

"Aaaahhh!!!" I screamed when Jake bit my left arm, now a chunk of meat is ripped off. I stand up from the ground and took a branch and hit him. I started running again so fast but not enough, I've never run so fast in my life like this.

So here we are, me running through the forest being chased by that lunatic. I saw Ryan and Mike catching up to me before they stopped. I looked at my front before l saw.................

I saw........ a huge brown wolf, Jake, he is larger than Mike and Ryan, his wolf is 5 ft tall. I stopped dead in my track, Jake's wolf was looking at me with murder intent. He took a step forward and l slowly took a step back but l heard growling behind me.

The pain in my body is crazy, l don't think l can run again. I fall to the ground exhausted, l can't feel my arm anymore, all l feel right now is immense pain.

"Aaaahhh!!!" I screamed when Jake clawed my neck, this is it for me, I'm gonna die. My vision started to blur, l saw Jake looking at the two others. l think he must be mind linking them, not long after Jake howled they all ran back.

I can feel the blood draining within every second, I'm loosing my consciousness. I saw my necklace down on the ground, the chain was broken. I moved my hand slowly with every ounce of energy left in me.

I held the the necklace and just stared at it. This is the only thing l had since I could remember, I never knew what happened to my biological parents but l was told that l was found in the forest as a baby and l had this necklace on me.

It's a small green glass leaf with a silver chain. It's barely visible to anyone, l looked at it with tears in my eyes.

'please save me' l said and held the necklace close to my heart before it all turned black. It's like sinking to an abyss of darkness, l can't feel anything, my body is all numb. I soon succumbed to the darkness. It's over, I'm dying like this.

Jake's POV

We left her there because she won't make it anyways alive, if not for my father l would have shredded her to pieces but he said that we should come to the pack meeting right now.

My wolf Ace is so mad right now because he wanted to torture her long but now duty came in.

We rushed back to the packhouse, when we had chased her we had gone far from the packhouse. We arrived and l mind linked Toby to bring some clothes at the backyard.

It wouldn't make a good impression to walk in the packhouse stark naked even though it's common.

We quickly changed and l fixed my hair and entered the packhouse. I went to where the meeting was being held.

"Where have you been!" My father immediately snapped at me when l entered. He looks pretty angry.

"I went for a run, what's going on?" I said and took a sit, there is Alpha Daniel from Darkwood  pack, he's here for some problems in his pack.

"The rogue attack is increasing and my fighters are wounded. We had dealt with my rogues but this time they were more in number than how my men were prepared for." Alpha Daniel said, he is pretty much as old as my father.

These rogue attacks have been frequently happening in his pack. "We'll give you supplies for the wounded fighters since wolfsbane takes time to heal." I said, we had talked about this before.

"We'll increase security at the pack border just in case they try to attack here too." My father said before the two old man stood up and shook hands.

"Alpha Jake and Mr Harris thank you for the help." Alpha Daniel said.

"We'll always be allies." My father said.

"I shay take my leave." Alpha Daniel said.

Author's POV

The moon shinning through a lattice of leaves, patchy sky and the stars seen in glimpses through tree breaks.

Lia's body lies on the ground motionless and covered in blood. Maybe death had already took her but something fascinating happened, Lia's wounds were healing and closing up.

The question is how can she do that since she is an omega. Flowers started blooming the area surrounding her. The wind blew swaying the leaves that blocked the moon.

A moment of silence came and not expected, Lia's eyes shot open but they were glowing emerald green, not only that but her blonde hair turned into dark green. Something about her aura seemed different.

With one move she swiftly jumped to a tree like a monkey. She started swinging from tree to tree going in the direction of the pack border.

After a while of jumping from tree to tree, she jumps down. She is near the pack border and there are about 20 wolves and a silver fence which is one of werewolves weakness because silver burns their skin and would take time to hear just like wolfsbane.

She dusted herself, she looks like a total different person. She started walking behind trees to the border but her steps halted went she heard the sound of a twig snap.

Turning around she saw wolves merging from the shadows, they circled her. It looks like today her fate wants her to die in the hands of this pack.

The wolves were about six and they were part of the patrol wolves. The wolves were growling and glaring their sharp canines at her.

"Step back!" Lia said but her voice sounded like two people speaking and it held this strange power. The wolves didn't make any attempt to heed her warning.

Two other men appeared again, they were wolves but in their human form. Both of them were the pack's fighters.

"What brings a beautiful lady to invade in our pack?" One of the guys with brown hair said. The guys didn't seem to recognize her at all which was great in a way because the whole pack knew her which could bring her more trouble.

"You guys are so stupid, you are all surrounding a lady while leaving the boarder unprotected, what if rogues invade?" Lia's said with her weird voice.

"The pack is none of your concern, right now you are the invader." The blonde guy said.

"Well it's true that it's none of my concern but I'm just making you aware of your surrounding."

"What do you want from our pack?" The blonde guy said and Lia chuckled.

"I thought rogues were killed on the spot without negotiation like what you're doing now, what if l say l want your head, would you give to me?" Lia's said and she folded her hands now daring them to do something.

"You sure have guts for a unarmed lady surrounded by eight wolves." The other guy said.

"Who said I'm unarmed ?" Lia said

"Sorry but l have no time to stand hear and chat all night, l have somewhere to be." Lia's said and turned to the border.

"Would you be kind and move out of my way please." She said to the wolves who were surrounding her.

The two guys laughed before saying." Do you think we'll let you go after you sneaked into our territory?" The blonde guy said.

"Well don't blame me for dragging you half dead out of my way, by the way l didn't sneak into your toxic pack." She said before tying her hair.

She..........

She....... side kicked the blonde guy's head and he collapsed to the ground. The other guy widened his eyes shocked at what just happened, the kick was so fast that no one was expecting that.

"What a weakling, you are already unconscious with one kick." She said and turned to the other guy before smiling.

"You next" She said and punched him in the face not leaving a moment for him to attack first. The guy fell to the ground with a thud.

"Damn are you guys all weak, you couldn't even dodge my punch." She said and the wolf behind her launched an attack on her but he was too slow.

Raising her hand she curled it, the wolf that was about to attack her was stabbed with a sharp branch that came from the ground.

The scene was gruesome because the branch started expanding in the wolf's stomach but it stopped leaving a hole.

"It's been a long time since l had fun." She said.

"What are you?" The punched guy with a bleeding nose said getting up from the ground.

"A nobody." She said before stretching her bones preparing for the fight.

They all charged at her at once and the man shifted to their form.

"Big mistake" she said and she closed her eyes and opened them again, then blew a mouthful of air but the impact it caused was massive because all of them flew and hit the trees and falling unconscious on the spot. Then roots with weird purple flowers sprouted from the ground entangling them.

"That would trap you for a while." She said.

She turns to the border but didn't go straight to it, she went to the other side without the other patrol wolves.

She jumped over the fence and started climbing the trees like the last time.

She is now free, free from her misery, free from the pain and that toxic pack.

When she was far enough, she climbed a huge tree and to the highest branch. The branch was flat enough to sleep on.

"That would be enough to keep us safe for a night." She said laid down.

Wait why did she say us? I guess that's an answer for another time.

Lia's POV

Feeling the sun's gentle morning rays on my face, l opened my eyes but closed them again because of the brightness.

I adjusted my eyes to brightness. Wait, I'm alive! I'm l dreaming. I thought and punched my chick to be sure that I'm not dreaming.

"I am alive but how and what happened.........

I couldn't finish speaking when l had an intense headache that l had to hold my head with my hands to stop it.

I saw flashes in my head and gasped in shock. Did l kill all those people but l don't remember waking up. What's going on, l can clearly see myself hurting those people. But why did l kill them?

'Relax they are not dead' l head a voice say that.

"Who's there?" I said and looked around before.......

"Aaaahhh!!!!" I screamed on top of my lungs, even the birds flew away startled by my scream. I looked down and screamed again. How the hell did l get up here.

I'm sitting on a branch in the tallest tree, l can't even see down below because there are other trees blocking my view.

"How will climb down, I'm afraid of heights. Dear God please help me." I said hugging tight the tree with my life.

(You sure know how to cause drama) that voice again spoke, l looked around but didn't see anyone.

"Anyone there?" I said now another fear creeping in.  Who could that be?

(I'm in your head, dummy.) the voice said again.

(I have a name, you know.) It said and now I'm more confused, is my conscience messing with my brain?

(I'm not your conscience you idiot) It said.

"Would you stop calling me names and tell me who the heck you are." I said now pissed because it keeps blabbering nonsense when I'm here being confused more.

(I'm Emily, your other counterpart.) She said and I was like 'What the heck is she saying' how can l have a counterpart when I'm an omega.

"Would you mind explaining what's going on here." I said, not long l saw a woman probably the same age as me with dark green hair and emerald green eyes, she appeared in my head. Wait a minute, she kinda looks like me.

(Yes, we are the same person but different personality but with the same body.) She said before another lady showed up in my head.

(Hi I'm Emma, your wolf.) She said, this one has a different voice and her hair is gray but she looks like me too. She has Iris eyes with a bit of green when looking at a different angle.

I was exploring her facials that l did not register what she just said.

"What did you say?" I asked again to confirm what l heard.

(I'm Emma, your wolf.) She said.

"What! I have a wolf?" I said in shock. But why didn't l shift nor have the same ability as others.

(I can only shift when needed, that time it was not necessarily and the necklace you are wearing sealed mine and Emily's presence.) She said and I finally understand something not everything she said.

How can she say that her shifting was not needed when l was bullied, beaten and many other horrible things.

(Our duty is to protect nature and mother nature's creation.) she said but that still doesn't settle for why they abandoned me.

(We didn't abandon you but we couldn't do anything because of the necklace.) Emily said.

"So how come l could see you when you said that the necklace wouldn't let your presence known because I'm wearing it now." I said.

(The spell broke when you took off the necklace but the spell still remains for others so they won't know our presence except you.) Emma said. Oh so when the chain broke the spell also broke, come to think of it, how is it mended when it broke and still on my neck.

(It's because l fixed it. Now we are done with info so came we now find somewhere to stay before dark not that I'm scared of it but sleeping in a tree is not my cup of tea.) Emily said and I laughed a little bit.

She is kinda funny. "Wait how are we going to climb down from here?" I said coz the height we are in is not good.

(Leave that to me.) Emily said.

They lived happily ever after.
