A long time ago there was a country which was ruled by an evil king. In his majestic castle, there lived a young beautiful lady, named Yuetsho. She was once a kind, gentle and carefree little princess of the country who was loved by everyone.

But unfortunately when she was around eight, everything turned upside down. Her uncle allied himself with an evil witch and Yuetsho’s royal parents, the former king and queen, were ambushed and killed when they were returning back from the countryside. Her uncle crowned himself as king and appointed the evil witch as his queen consort. Her only brother, the crown prince, went missing. And they also tried to kill her many times, but they never succeeded. Even the evil queen tried using her witchcraft to kill her, but it failed and because of this the evil witch lost her own strength and power for a few weeks. She sensed that the princess Yuetsho was not an ordinary person. There was a powerful force around her which protected her well.

Therefore, they imprisoned the little princess in the palace and let her stay in a far isolated room in the castle.

The evil king ordered her advisor to let her do the tasks in the palace with low maids. The advisor pitied the little princess and tried to educate her but some days later the advisor disappeared. There were many servants in the palace but most of the servants who were loyal to the former king and queen were replaced or disappeared. The servants who were loyal to the new king would always bully princess Yuetsho. As the princess was kind and innocent, even though they mistreated her, she treated everyone equally without resentment, so eventually some servants tried to befriend her and also tried to spread the word about the princess’s situation outside the palace. But whoever became close to her kept disappearing. Therefore, princess Yuetsho couldn’t dare to approach anyone. She became one of the loneliest poor princesses.

One night she missed her lovely family and she cried holding the pendant which she always used to wear. It was half golden and half blood-red in color. Suddenly her dark room became bright and out of nowhere appeared a beautiful lady with motherly eyes. The princess felt a little warmth in her heart but at the same time she also felt a bit afraid because till now nobody bothered to come to her small room. Knowing her mind, the lady told her that she was a fairy godmother from fairyland. As Yuetsho was kind to everyone, the fairy godmother promised to be with her and teach her everything she wished to study. After many years, with the help of her godmother and as she was a smart child, princess Yuetsho became a well educated person. She also learned magic and spells from her fairy godmother.

When she reached the age of 15, she tried to figure out everything inside and out of the palace. One day she secretly went outside the palace and what she saw broke her heart. She had heard a few things from her fairy godmother but she never imagined that her beautiful and peaceful kingdom would become like this.The once busy market streets were now full of beggars. The once beautiful village had now become dull. The once happy people had become sad and sullen. She learned that her subjects hated her, because they thought that she had turned her back on them ever since their majesties were gone and enjoyed herself in the majestic palace with her uncle, the cruel king.

She couldn’t stay any longer; she couldn’t control her emotions; she took all the blame and ran back to the palace with a heavy heart. She thought that all these years her uncle mistreated only her but she couldn’t have imagined how her uncle mistreated all her citizens. As he was the only relative she had in her life, she never thought of taking over the throne from him, and had stayed quiet and obedient, even as she had become one of the well mastered people in the entire kingdom. But suddenly, things had changed.

She rushed back to her isolated room. She cried out loud right after she reached her room. Suddenly she felt very painful in her heart and in a few minutes her body became hot. She felt like she was on fire. The pain was unbearable so she cried even louder. No one was there for her. She passed out a few times.

At last, when she opened her eyes she saw her godmother. She didn’t know the reason but her godmother seemed quite happy. Her whole body was glowing and she was enchanting magic to the princess. With a smiling face she told the princess to be prepared. The princess didn’t get what she was saying, so she tried to ask her but she sensed that something was about to burst out from her body. She felt very sharp pain in her whole body and in a few minutes she was turned into a beautiful blue and red flamed magical phoenix.

Princess Yuetsho was even more confused and afraid. But her godmother seemed very excited. She was floating around her, dancing and singing. With great difficulty and the godmother’s help, the princess transformed back to human form but she still looked like a lost puppy. To ease her confusion, the godmother told her the whole story: Princess Yuetsho was the lost crown princess of bird fairyland and she was cursed by witchcraft. The pendant she had was left by her fairy mother to protect her. To awaken her inner power she had to encounter great sadness before the age of 18, and if not she would die with grave consequences. And to fully purify the curse she should make the kingdom prosperous.

Now that she had awakened her inner power, her fairy godmother tried to convince her to return back to fairyland even though she had not fully purified the curse because the princess Yuetsho was still too young and there was also a witch in the palace so it would be too difficult to make the kingdom prosperous. And also she was afraid that the princess might follow her fairy mother’s path as she was very kind. To protect the fairyland from the evil witch, her fairy mother sacrificed herself and sealed the evil witch. But princess Yuetsho didn’t agree to go back to the fairyland. As the godmother had guessed, the princess was concerned about the citizens and decided to save them from the cruel king and the witch queen.
