I'm Lily Sano, twenty-one and heir to the mafia syndicate. I've betrayed my family by leaving the mafia world and starting fresh. My ultimate goal is to become a model and design clothes and start a brand. I have two siblings who fell into a huge obsession with greed. My mother left the country over a decade ago, leaving me to care for my siblings. I've decided that I want goodness in my life, no killing, or human trafficking.

"My bags are packed, my phone is charged... what else am I missing? Oh! My Christian cross hanging on the mirror." Lily exclaimed with relief as she wore it gently around her neck.

"Goodness! Amelia, aren't you supposed to be in bed after that hangover last night?" Lily exclaimed with confusion and firmly as she answered the phone.

"Hi best friend, just wanted to check on you. How are you feeling? You're finally going to Paris!" Amelia exclaimed, excited and with concern laced in her voice.

"Hey, girl. I'm good, I'm nervous, and dare I say... thrilled. My boss in Paris texted me last night saying that he likes my designs and that he'd like to work with me. I'm really flattered by how kind and sincere he was. Not a lot of people nowadays are kind, it's usually just pretend." Lily remarked smartly as she sighed softly.

"True, my husband wishes you the best, he tucked me in bed and everything! Are you going to date again in Paris? Or even date your boss?" Amelia remarked teasingly and lovingly.

"Gosh. You're impossible. I'm pretty sure it's forbidden to date people in a working firm. It causes distractions, my boss will most likely fire me too if I dated his colleagues." Lily sighed tiredly as she heard her friend laughing on the phone.

"Always so neat, I'll call you later. You shouldn't miss your flight. You have fifty minutes." Amelia remarked smartly.

"Thanks for reminding me. See you later, best friend. Kisses." Lily teasingly made light kissing noises and ended the call. "This house gave me a lot of comfort, my cousin will take good care of it." Lily murmured softy while gazing at the details in her home.

Lily turned around and grabbed all her things she needed and left the house and locked it. She heard the sound of her Uber honking and went to him. "I'm all set." Lily remarked calmly as she loaded her things into the car boot and entered the car.

"So where are you traveling? Anywhere special?" The driver asked with curiosity.

"I'm traveling to Paris for work. I'm going to be a model there and a fashion designer." Lily remarked truthfully as she stared at her sketchbook.

"The city of love, you must enjoy it there. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon. The Eiffel Tower is spectacular." The driver sighed dreamily as he reminisced.

"How cute. I'm not sure if I'll get into any relationships along the way, I'm more of a workaholic. The office job was a nightmare, my boss was a sore loser and more of a child." Lily sighed and began sketching a long dress.

The drive was silent, the only sound that could be heard was the roughness of pencil sketching and Lily's frustrated sigh. The driver parked his car at the airport and turned to Lily.

"We're here. I hope you enjoyed the ride. Take care." The driver remarked kindly with a small smile.

"You're an absolute lifesaver. Keep the tip. See you soon, friend." Lily remarked kindly and bid the driver goodbye. Lily stared at the airport with determined eyes and strode in confidently, unaware of a special someone watching her.

"Twenty minutes, okay. I could use a coffee. Hmm... they only have strong coffee, I'll survive." Lily murmured softly as she observed the selections right in front of her as someone chuckled softly behind her.

"It's refreshing to see someone speak so freely. I'm Mikey Park. Pleasure to meet you, mademoiselle." Mikey kissed Lily's hand sweetly as she looked surprised.

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Lily Sano. Are you traveling somewhere, Mikey?" Lily asked with a smile and curiously.

"Yeah, I'm going to Paris. I recruited someone new at my firm and looks like I'm staring at her right now. I hope you'll like what I have in store for you. There are places I'd like to show you there." Mikey murmured softly as his brown eyes were glued to Lily's blue ones.

"I'd love that a lot. You're very kind." Lily sighed softly as a blush appeared on her cheeks.

Lily and Mikey exchanged smiles as they examined each other closely, it was not that hard to tell that meeting your boss at an airport isn't weird. The crowd was getting bigger, Mikey looped his arm around the female's waist and gently led her to a secluded spot. "Now nobody can bother us. I've been eager to get to know you better, considering that I'll be inspecting your work. Are you alright with that?" Mikey asked with a charming gleam in his eye as Lily considered his words wisely.

"That's okay with me, I'm a open book." Lily confessed truthfully as Mikey stared into her blue eyes with passion and the intention of kissing her. Goodness, that's moving a little too fast. "Where will you see yourself in a few years? What is your greatest passion?" Mikey asked with curious eyes and lips parted ever so lightly. "I see myself doing great things, helping the homeless, looking after orphans, and finding my everything. You only live once, I want to make my life more meaningful." Lily confessed truthfully as she stared at a child with a warm gaze and more aware of the look Mikey was giving her. He is impressed.

The airplane women exclaimed that my flight was ready. I looked at Mikey with a small smile and sighed. "Well, that's my flight. I take it you have a private jet waiting for you?" Lily asked with amusement laced in her voice as Mikey gazed at her warmly. "Yeah, you could say that. I'll be seeing you later, Lily. Enjoy your flight." Mikey whispered softly in my ear as he disappeared into the crowd. That man is mysterious, but mostly in a good way. I'm excited about beginning to design. Goodbye, Japan. Lily looked down at her emails as she sat in her assigned seat.

The plane ride was hilarious, Sophie was ann angel in Lily's eyes when the two socialized together. The thoughts of working in a modeling agency made Lily's heart race with excitement and bliss, her confidence grew more and her self-confidence. "Hey, Sophie. Meeting you was the best! I feel like you're my grandmother now." Lily confessed warmly as she gazed at Sophie's knitting skills. Sophie stopped knitting and turned to Lily with a motherly gaze. "You're adorable, honeybee. Where are you headed to?" Sophie asked with curiosity and interest. "I'm actually headed to Paris for a modeling career. To actually design dresses and exquisite gowns... It takes creativity. I'm going to meet a lot of people along the way who would want to be friends with me, but sadly, the hard truth comes out, and they say I was naive. I'm determined to make a good living." Lily confessed truthfully as she smiled softly. Sophie stared at Lily in a new light and nodded with respect. "You're a fighter, Lily. I believe in you." Sophie gently caressed Lily's cheek.

Candidates, more candidates coming and going. I was staring at my computer screen reading venues and gala gossip. It's honestly boring, I stared at a photo of me holding my kids in my arms with a loving smile. My smile faltered as I thought of their mom... who cheated on me with my brother and scoffed. I have already moved on with my life. I have Lily. Lily... An angel with grace and warmth flowing around her. Honestly, I can say that I'm crazy about her, I want to kiss her... taste her and many other things. My heart began pounding loudly in my chest, thank the lord that she's coming here to my firm in ten minutes. Relax Mikey!

'End of his point of view'

"Okay, Lily. You can do this, he's a normal person who admires fashion and respect. I can show him that I have both of those qualities. Three two one, let's do this!" I breathed out softly as I entered Mikey's office with a kind smile on my face. "Hello, Lily. You're here early..." Mikey said teasingly with a flirty wink. Oh, gosh... "Being early shows dedication to the company, I hope that's alright with you, sir." Lily confessed with honesty and stared into Mikey's eyes that were locked into hers. "Lily... You're hired! Welcome! You'll be working side by side with me in my office space. I'll give you ideas and inspiration too. By then we can discuss runways. Some models here can be... arrogant." Mikey confessed truthfully, with a loud laugh which made Lily giggle in return.

The two stared deeply at each other with passion and love, the chemistry between them was growing thick, the need to taste one another kicked in. Mikey gently pulled Lily flush against him and kissed her lovingly as he smiled against her lips." Mikey... We can't..." Lily moaned with ecstasy while Mikey rubbed my sides gently."I've been thinking about this all day... Lily, do you want this? Me?" Mikey asked as he placed Lily's palm on his heart. The softness of her palm made Mikey feel fulfillment as if he was married to Lily. "I want this Mikey, for some reason... the lord blessed with a guy, which is you..." Lily whispered shyly, which made Mikey smile lovingly at the sweet women in front of him.
