2005 one night before Christmas Eve
In the cloak of darkness, with the moon casting a faint silver light upon the earth, the night held its secrets close, whispering them to the wind.
The boy with dark black hair, a shadow amongst shadows, stood with his four friends at the imposing gate of the university
It was almost 1 AM, the eve of Christmas, and the world seemed to hold its breath in anticipation of the holiday.
The boy cautioned, his voice a mere murmur
Minjae
We have to be quiet, or else the Guard will catch us
His friends, a motley crew of daring souls, huddled close, their faces etched with a mixture of excitement and trepidation
Sarah, clad in white with freckles adorning her face like stardust, her necklace coiling like a serpent, spoke up, her brown eyes glinting with mischief

You know the drill guys
She said, her voice a soft command
Sarah
After sunrise is Christmas, and the treasure hunt competition awaits us.
Sarah
If we emerge victorious, we'll gain an advantage in the annual examinations
Jiyoon, her gaze fixed on the foreboding silhouette of the university building, voiced her unease

Our university looks eerie at night
She murmured, her words tinged with a hint of fear. Kate, a spark of humor dancing in his eyes, chuckled softly.

I looked around in the hallway, the university is really creepy at this late night, It's so erred here, i can only hear my own footsteps, my breathIng and the chill air waving around me. Giving no attention to my thoughts i opened the door of one classroom to find the treasure hunts presents
LuckIly one thing is good that no one locks the Classroom after the university time, I checked every corner of the classroom, but I didn't find anything
I have been fInding those presents since last 15 Minutes, i checked almost 5 Classrooms but found Zero locations of presents ...ahhh others must have found at least few locations and here me
With a huff of frustration, I gathered my hair in a messy bun and stormed out of the classroom

Time to check out the mysterious laboratories, I suppose
As I made my way through the music department floor, I couldn't help but notice how eerily quiet it was. The old laboratories seemed like the perfect spot to hide surprises - after all, who would dare venture into that creepy corner of the building?
Taking a deep breath, I strolled towards the laboratories

As per I know -Rumor has it that back in 2003, this very floor used to be the science department, not the music department.
Kate
And those laboratories?

They were suddenly closed off and sealed for good
Kate
No one is allowed inside, making them even more intriguing.
As I approached the mysterious laboratories, a shiver ran down my spine.
The darkness seemed to envelop me, casting an eerie shadow over the entire area. There was an inexplicable sense of foreboding that hung in the air, sending chills down my spine.
With each step, the shadows seemed to creep closer, stretching out like long, ghostly fingers.
Gathering my courage, I took a deep breath and forged ahead, my trusty flashlight illuminating my path.
With each step, the air grew thicker, and the shadows stretched longer and darker. My heart raced like a wild horse as I approached the first lab, only to find it locked tight, room number 664 taunting me from behind the barrier.
Undeterred, I moved on to the next lab, my eyes falling on room number 665, also sealed shut. Suddenly, a sharp click pierced the silence, causing me to jump out of my skin. The lock on the third lab door crashed to the floor with a resounding clang, sending a jolt of fear down my spine.
I muttered under my breath, bracing myself for the unknown that awaited me beyond those walls. The atmosphere was giving me the heebie-jeebies, and my skin was breaking out in goosebumps. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something sinister lurked nearby.
Just as I turned to make a hasty retreat, my feet poised for flight, a shrill sound pierced the air. It was like an..... alarm bell, warning me not to turn back.
My curiosity piqued, I hesitated. What mysteries lay behind that closed door?
Looks like I wasn’t going anywhere just yet.iMy heart was pounding in my chest, each beat like a drum in a marching band. The fear crept up on me as I took a hesitant step back, the shadows of doubt looming over me. And then, a sound broke through the silence - a soft, pitiful cry. It was coming from inside the Lab.
My curiosity piqued, I dared to take a few more steps, the tears in the voice growing louder, more desperate, and filled with fear
As my eyes scanned the room, I caught a glimpse of a figure cowering behind a glass wall. My breath caught in my throat as I saw the shadowy figure, trapped and helpless behind the transparent barrier.

S.... Someone is inside...?
Without a second thought, I rushed towards the lab door, the lock giving way easily, worn out with age. With a shaky hand, I reached for the doorknob to unlock it, but before I could make a move......
........A slurping sound echoed from within. It was a strange sound, like someone simultaneously eating and slurping.
Dread settled in the pit of my stomach as I hesitated, unsure of what I might find inside

A sudden yell jolted me, causing me to plop down right on my behind in sheer surprise
My eyes widened in disbelief as I gazed at the person who had just screamed at me - the owner of that booming voice. His face loomed right in front of mine, eyes blazing with anger
University guard
What in the world are you students doing sneaking around the university at this hour!?
The guard bellowed at me, my friends already caught in his grasp. He shot me a fierce glare before spinning around to face the lab, his eyes popping out of his head when he noticed the broken lock.
University guard
You broke this lock!?
He roared, his voice rising with each word

😥No, no! It just happened to break on its own

😥And...and i heard some noises inside!
I stammered, trying to explain.
University guard
What kind of nonsense are you spouting!?

He scolded, pointing his finger in my direction, his furious gaze fixed on me and my friends.
University guard
I said get out of this campus right now!!😡
He barked loudly and sternly
The five of us swallowed hard in fear and bolted away from there as fast as our legs could carry us.

CHAPTER 3(another sneak out)
As the five friends emerged from the principal's office, a wave of mixed emotions washed over them
Jiyoon and Sarah looked downcast, their eyes reflecting their disappointment at being barred from the Christmas Eve Treasure Hunt. Edward and Minjae, on the other hand, seemed to be simmering with frustration and anger, their expressions tense and brooding.
And then there was Kate. Poor Kate couldn't shake off the eerie events of the previous night. The voices he had heard in the laboratory, the chilling cries, and strange slurping sounds, and that sudden blaring alarm - it all haunted him. He couldn't shake off the fear that gripped him, leaving him unsettled and trembling. !

'Someone was there .... inside the laboratory.... inside that room...but...but who...'
His mind raced for answers.. he didn't even want to think about it,he just wanted to forget....it was all too much,he had to run away before any more bad thoughts started,or else.....they would follow, but he couldn't run from the truth now so he had to face it himself.

Hey what are you thinking buddy
Edward placed his hand on Kate's shoulder making the latter flinch badly , His friends shared glances at each other before Sarah spoke

Are you okay Kate? You're looking disturbed

G....guys something unbelievable happened when we sneak into the university at night
Edward's eyebrows raised high and a confused look appeared on the faces of the others

What do you mean something unbelievable happened'
Edward asked curiously, Kate's expression changed drastically, he took a deep breath before continuing
Kate
At night when I was finding the treasure, i thought it must be hidden in Old laboratories as no one really goes there, I went there but all the three laboratories doors were locked, suddenly the third doors lock broke down and fell on floor
Sarah
It must be because the lock must be old, right? It could have broken because it was damaged
Kate began, His voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty
As he recounted the eerie events that unfolded in that room, the boys sat in rapt attention, their eyes wide with a mixture of fear and intrigue.

I was getting so many creepy vibes from that room that I made the decision to leave.
Kate
But just as I turned to make my escape, a sudden, jarring alarm clock sound pierced the air, freezing me in my tracks

That was my first clue to leave that place.
Kate
But then, I heard it - a voice, filled with sorrow and anguish, crying out for help
Kate
I saw the shadow of a man within that room, his form hazy and indistinct in the dim light
Kate
He cried out as if in desperate need of assistance, his pleas echoing through the empty corridors
Kate
I was on the verge of opening that door, ready to offer my aid to the mysterious figure within.
Kate
But then, I heard it - a slurping, guttural sound emanating from the depths of that laboratory room.

Fear gripped me, my heart pounding in my chest as I hesitated, unsure of what lay beyond that threshold. The darkness within the room seemed to breathe, to pulse with a malevolent energy that sent shivers down my spine

And then the Guard caught us making us leave the place
Kate looked at his friends with concern and worry written on his face. His friends shared looks between themselves once again, Edward spoke

Do you think it was a monster? A ghoul like a ghost or what?😃
Kate
Maybe......but the cry from that room is not letting me be in peace, I'm hearing it every time....
Kate answered. The Five Friends were quiet for a moment, before Minjae spoke

This is getting ridiculous, Are you making stories now?
Jiyoon
Yeah, Kate! this sounds crazy🤷🏻♀️😅

But guys I'm telling you the truth, it really happened, there is something in that room which we don't know

Guys we all know that Kate never lies, and look at him, do you think he is lying?
She gestured at the younger boy. Edward looked at Kate for a few moments, then looked at his friend's eyes, then finally shook his head.

Jiyoon asked desperately with excitement in her eyes
