Vera sat down in her class after waiting in an extremely long line to enter. She placed her rock of a bag on the table and exhaled deeply, taking out her phone from her pocket to change the song that she was listening to. It was a nice day,  there were no headaches or random painful feelings anywhere and she wasn't in her depressed stages of her bipolar disorder or mania stages either or so she thought. She just felt normal. She laid her head down on the table, finding herself a tad tired so she paused the music before slowly dozing off. Only to be awakened by her English teacher, Ms. Peters, who shook her gently.

“ Are you alright Vera?” She asked when she saw traces of wetness around her eyes from sleeping.

“ I'm fine” Vera said trying to sound reassuring

Ms. Peters didn't seem to buy Vera’s act but decided to continue on with the lesson.

For this lesson in particular, the students had to work in groups to defend something that they are very passionate about or say something to attack the other person's views.

Vera’s team was against Ian's team. Ian was one of the well known, popular boys in school, who was planning to become the student body president so Vera felt a little pressured but in the end, her team won the argument so that's something.

Vera enjoyed most English classes above any other classes but this particular English class she loved the most. When going back to her seat, she felt someone bounce into her from behind and turned around to see Ian apologising to her.

“ I'm sorry” He said again, making sure she heard it.

“Just be careful next time,” Vera said, returning to her seat.

Soon the lesson continued and there was a few times where Vera saw Ian glancing at her but didn't think too much about it until it was break time and Ian pulled his chair from by his table and placed it down right in front of Vera’s table. Vera, who had her head down at the edge of the table, didn't notice that he did this until she saw someone's feet approach her table and heard a loud thud, looking up to see Ian sat right in front of her.

“ Hi,” Ian said nonchalant of Vera’s confused expression.

“ Hi,” Vera said back, keeping her confused expression up.

“ Which would you prefer, cats or dogs?”

Even more confused by his random question she showed him what it had on her shirt which read, “ I'll collie you later” with a Border Collie holding a phone in its mouth before asking, “ What do you think?”

“ I think that you probably have a lot of shirts that have dog related content on it that it's probably considered an obsession by now”

“ Wow, am I that easy to read?” Vera responded.

“ No, it's just that you own a lot of dog related stuff” He answered, pointing at my open dog pencil case with dog erasers etc in it.

Vera chuckled at only noticing this fact now and said, “ I didn't  even notice until now”
