in 1986 Japan a queen named hasaka gave birth to twins a male and a female, however the female child had red eyes and the king didn't like that at all. he thought the meaning of red eyes were destruction and doom. he told the queen "kill that child! she'll just be trouble for our kingdom! " however the queen refused "No! she is still our daughter! she is too young to die. " the queen replied. "Then send her away, that is no daughter of mine. " the queen cried and wrapped a blanket around her child and put her in a basket. "oh my child forgive me for what I'm about to do, if only they understood what red eyes really means, I hope you'll survive, my Sakura" the queen then sent her child away in tears. a few years passed. Sakura lived in a poor village, she didn't have money for food so she just stole food from others, she stole fish from a small market owned by a man, the chased after her and managed to catch up to her and punched her. "What the hell do you think you're doing! you little thief! " an old woman saw what had happened and said "Why would you do that! she's just a child! " the man said "That child stole my food! " the old woman gave the man back his fish and said "here! take it and leave her alone" the man then walked away, "oh you poor little thing, come live with me! " said the woman. Sakura nods her head and follows the old woman to her home. the old woman had a grandson named akio, who was about 7 years old. akio was a sweet and friendly kid. akio then asked "who is she? " the old woman replied "her name is uh-" "Sakura" Sakura replied "Oh! yes her name is Sakura! akio go show Sakura around the house while I make dinner. " yes granny!" akio said. a few months later akio and Sakura became very close. "akio saw Sakura as his big sister" and he treated her like his own sibling. Sakura also saw akio as a little brother. they both cared for each other very much. until one day a group of samurai's were sent into the village to look for someone with red eyes. akio heard about this and quickly rushed to tell Sakura and his grandmother. after he told them what he heard the grandmother told Sakura to hide outside in the forest and to be quite. Sakura quickly ran towards the back door and hid behind the trees. the samurai's went to the old woman's house and searched the area but couldn't find Sakura. one of the samurai's asked the old woman "have you seen a person with red eyes? " the old woman told the gaurds "No" the samurai's then killed the old woman and akio. Sakura had to witness their deaths and cried. one of the samurai's saw Sakura and said "I see her! " Sakura ran away as fast as she could to hide somewhere else
