Chapter 1: Adhrit the Worthy and Honoured One.
*Cluttering sounds. Camera rolling.
As the sun set, casting a warm glow over the bustling restaurant, excitement buzzed in the air. Diners chattered eagerly, their anticipation almost tangible. From the center, entered a figure, tall and commanding, exuding an aura of effortless charisma.
"Welcome, everyone, to our beloved Chef and heartthrob, the sensational.. Adhrit," declared the host, his voice cutting through the applause and screams. Adhrit, dressed in his trademark white shirt, flashed a winning smile, acknowledging the adoring looks directed his way. As he approached the host, their exchange sparked laughter among the crowd.
"Today, we're blessed with your presence," the host gushed, clearly impressed. "Damn! Your charisma is blinding, Adhrit. It's no wonder every woman dreams of marrying you. Your cooking talent only adds to your appeal. You're husband material, no doubt."
Adhrit chuckled along with the audience, appreciating the playful banter. But the host wasn't finished yet.
"Even as a guy, I can't help but admire you. You're like a god, a real catch."
The lighthearted moment continued, drawing the audience further into Adhrit's magnetic presence.
Suddenly, a small, mysterious figure darted through the bustling crowd, calling out, "Wait Master! You forgot your belt. Here!" The unexpected interruption shocked everyone, dampening the cheerful mood. Adhrit's smile faltered, and even the host looked displeased.
"Cut!" the host exclaimed, but the tiny lady continued, unaffected by the command. "I am... huff huff... here's your belt," she gasped out breathlessly, holding out the forgotten item.
"WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE? I TOLD YOU NOT TO COME!" 🤦♂️
The young lady, tired and plump, marched to the stage without a hint of embarrassment or concern for others' feelings. With a nonchalant air, she handed the belt to its owner and uttered in an unapologetic tone, "Come back home soon. I have been missing you already." and after reading the room, she pushed her small hands upwards while raising her eyebrows and shruging off her shoulders, "Sorry Master and everyone... my bad... please continue with whatever you were doing."
She casually winked once again and blew a bubble with her gum while slipping her hands into the rusty pockets of her baggy grey joggers as she walked away, acting as if nothing had happened.
Adhrit felt a surge of anger rising within him, but years of practice in masking his true emotions came to his aid. With a strained smile directed at the crew, he managed to choke out, "Let's just ignore her. Please, let's continue with the interview." However, despite his efforts to diffuse the situation, whispers and murmurs erupted among the onlookers. They couldn't help but gossip about the audacious young lady who had spoken her mind without a trace of fear.
Suspicious glances were thrown Adhrit's way, as if the mere presence of the outspoken woman somehow implicated him in the mess. He was genuinely upset, visibly so. When the host inquired about the rude young lady, he struggled to come up with an explanation. "Oh, th.. that's just m.. my maid," he stammered awkwardly. "I must have left this belt behind, and she must've been worried about me. Everything's fine, really."
He forced a smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. However, his attempts to brush off the situation fell flat. He could sense the question marks hanging in the air, lingering on people's faces. The host pressed further, questioning the presence of such a young girl working in a bachelor's house, addressing him as "Master" and expressing sentiments like "I have been missing you," which seemed out of place. "Could you please provide a clear explanation to satisfy people's curiosity?" the host implored.
Adhrit kept insisting that his maid, despite her young age, was purposely trying to tarnish his image out of greed for money. Some people in the audience believed him, but many disagreed.
Despite his efforts, Adhrit managed to calm the crowd down. However, his carefully maintained prim and proper image, upheld for the past eight years, was suddenly shattered. He had worked hard to keep his reputation spotless, but this troublesome girl had managed to ruin it. Adhrit found himself questioning his karma from his previous life, wondering how he ended up with such a deceitful woman.
Feeling mentally prepared to teach her a lesson for her actions, he glanced down at the belt he held in his hand. Without hesitation, he abruptly ended the interview, stating, "Let's reschedule for another time," before swiftly exiting the venue. It was clear: the belt was the key to resolving the situation.
...----------------...
Furious, Adhrit raced home in his Lamborghini, sunlight streaming through the front glass, illuminating the veins on his hand as it gripped the steering wheel with determination. The sunlight kissed his brown eyes, transforming them into precious, fiery, alluring red stones, gleaming with intensity and intrigue. Tension furrowed his thick brow, transforming his deep brown eyes into those of a hungry predator. He navigated the bustling streets of Mumbai at breakneck speed until he finally arrived at his penthouse on the 21st floor.
Upon entering, he spotted a curvaceous figure lurking near the wall between the living room and the kitchen, moving hesitantly as if trying to conceal themselves out of reluctance. Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Adhrit addressed the figure, "You know what you did wrong, don't you? Come out of hiding and face the consequences. NOW!"
The hesitant figure tentatively attempted to laugh it off as she inched forward, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'm so sorry... It was a mistake, but really, it's your fault, you know," she murmured, her laughter tinged with nervousness.
"I've told you countless times not to expose yourself like this in front of other women!" said she.
Adhrit's voice cut through the air, his frustration evident. "I've warned you repeatedly, and yet you continue to disregard my instructions. It's time for you to leave my house. I've tolerated you out of pity, but it's clear you have no intention of listening. Do you even understand the gravity of your actions? Tell me... Do You?"
Clearly displeased, the girl's expression darkened as tears welled up in her eyes. With a deep sigh, she snatched the belt from his hand, "HEY!!" (Adhrit said) and retreated to her room, seeking solace in tears.
Adhrit let out a heavy sigh, the weight of the situation pressing down on him. Running his hands through his face and hair in frustration, he felt the tension knotting his muscles. With a resigned shake of his head, he turned and made his way to his room, longing for the refreshment that a moment of solitude would bring.
Alone in her room, the girl clutched Adhrit's belt tightly to her chest, the cool metal serving as a painful reminder of their fractured relationship. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she lay on her bed, her heart heavy with sorrow. Memories flooded her mind, transporting her back to the days when Adhrit's kindness had filled her world with warmth and joy.
She traced her fingers over the familiar contours of the belt, each crease and indentation a testament to the bond they once shared. In the quiet solitude of her room, she allowed herself to dwell on the sweet memories of her past with him, reliving moments of laughter and tenderness that now seemed like distant dreams.
But as the echoes of happier times faded, reality crashed down upon her with crushing force. The pain of Adhrit's harsh words stung her heart, tearing at the fragile threads of hope that still lingered within her. With each tear that fell, she silently mourned the loss of the love she once knew, praying for a glimmer of light to pierce through the darkness that now enveloped her soul.
......................
Adhrit stood beneath the cascading streams of water, the tiny droplets enveloping his broad, imposing shoulders and tracing the contours of his sculpted back muscles with tantalizing precision. Each droplet seemed to caress his skin, leaving a glistening sheen in its wake as it danced along the curves of his powerful physique.
As the water flowed over him, it highlighted the raw, masculine beauty of his form, each muscle rippling beneath his skin with undeniable strength and grace. His back, a canvas of sinew and strength, displayed a symmetry that spoke of hours spent sculpting his body to perfection.
But it was his butt that truly captured attention - round and plump, yet exuding a masculine allure that bordered on primal. With each movement, it flexed and tensed, a testament to his physical prowess and undeniable magnetism.
In the intimate solitude of the shower, Adhrit radiated an aura of primal dominance, his Alpha personality shining through with every movement. He was the epitome of raw masculinity, a vision of power and sensuality that stirred the senses and ignited desire in those fortunate enough to behold him.
As Adhrit stood under the soothing stream of water, his mind wandered to the image of her saddened face. A pang of regret tugged at his heart as he reflected on the harsh words he had spoken. Despite her defiance, she was still just a young girl, vulnerable and in need of guidance.
As the older and more experienced one, Adhrit realized that it was his responsibility to provide comfort and reassurance, not to inflict further pain. He resolved to set aside his pride and ego, to extend a hand of understanding and compassion to the troubled soul he had inadvertently wounded. After all, in the end, he knew that true strength lay not in dominance, but in kindness and empathy.
He has changed due to her. But he still didn't realise that.
As Miara recalled the events of three months ago, her mind drifted back to that fateful day...
......................
Three Months Ago...
Adhrit had been in his car, lost in the rhythm of a song playing softly through the speakers. Without warning, a girl appeared seemingly out of nowhere, darting across the street in front of his vehicle. Before he could react, there was a sickening thud as the car collided with her.
Panic gripped Adhrit as he quickly exited the car, only to find himself surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. The girl lay on the ground, blood pooling around her, as she slipped in and out of consciousness. Adhrit tried waking her up, "HEY! HEY Miss...Please open you eyes" But there was no response... Without hesitation, Adhrit sprang into action, frantically dialing for an ambulance and doing his best to keep her stable until help arrived. And somehow the girl grippeed his belt tightly for support. And he let her hold it well.
In those chaotic moments, Adhrit's only thought was to get her to the hospital as quickly as possible. And so, he gently lifted her into the waiting ambulance, silently praying for her recovery as they sped off into the night.
As Adhrit paced anxiously outside the ICU, every passing minute felt like an eternity. His heart raced with worry, his mind consumed by thoughts of the girl lying inside. Finally, the door swung open, and a weary-looking doctor emerged.
"How's she?" Adhrit's voice trembled with tension as he awaited the doctor's response.
The doctor sighed heavily before speaking, "She's out of danger for now, but her head took a serious blow. There's a possibility of neurological complications, but it's too early to say for sure. We'll need more time to assess her condition. If you have any information about her, please provide it to the registration desk and fill out the necessary forms."
"Thank you, Doctor," Adhrit murmured, his relief tinged with apprehension as he headed towards the registration desk.
Rummaging through the girl's backpack, Adhrit's fingers brushed against an Aadhaar Card bearing the name "Mrinali Singh" and an address in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Clutching the card tightly, Adhrit's heart sank at the realization of how little he knew about the girl lying in the ICU.
Just then, a police officer approached Adhrit, recognition dawning in his eyes. "You must be Adhrit," he remarked, a hint of admiration in his voice. "I've seen you on TV, you're quite famous, you know."
Adhrit managed a weak smile, his mind preoccupied with worry. As the officer questioned him about the accident, Adhrit recounted the events leading up to the collision in painstaking detail, his voice filled with regret.
After hearing his account, the police officer levied a fine on both parties involved, acknowledging that it was likely a shared fault. As they prepared to leave, the officer assured Adhrit that they would contact the girl's family and provide updates on her condition.
Relief washed over Adhrit as he watched the police depart, but his mind remained heavy with concern for the girl whose fate now lay in the hands of fate.
...----------------...
As Adhrit stood vigil outside the ICU, his gaze fixed on the still figure lying on the hospital bed, a flood of questions swirled in his mind. How had she ended up in such a state? What events had led to this moment of tragedy?
Steeling himself, Adhrit entered the room, drawn to her side by an inexplicable pull. As he approached, he couldn't help but be struck by her beauty. Her dusky complexion glowed with an ethereal radiance, her long lashes framing her closed eyes like delicate curtains. Jet-black hair cascaded in silky waves around her, framing a face of undeniable loveliness.
Her features, though delicate, held a quiet strength, with a high nose bridge and lips that were small yet full, exuding an air of timeless elegance. She seemed to him like a lifeless doll, a sleeping beauty awaiting the kiss of awakening.
But beneath her outward beauty, Adhrit sensed a vulnerability that tugged at his heartstrings. She appeared so young, so fragile, and yet so full of untold stories. As he checked her Aadhaar card, confirming her age to be only 18, he couldn't help but feel a pang of realization. He, at 32, was nearly 14 years her senior.
With a heavy heart, Adhrit pondered the myriad of possibilities that could have led her to this moment. Had she run away from home? Was she fleeing from a troubled past? Or had someone inflicted harm upon her, robbing her of her innocence and leaving her broken and alone? The questions lingered in the air, unanswered, as Adhrit grappled with the weight of the unknown.
As the sterile hospital room slowly faded into focus, the girl felt a strange sensation stirring within her. Her eyebrows twitched in a zigzag motion, a subtle sign that consciousness was beginning to stir beneath the surface. With each passing moment, her fingers on her right hand twitched, a tentative movement heralding her slow return to the realm of the living.
And then, like a whisper in the darkness, a voice pierced the silence, calling out in urgency and concern. "DOCTOR! NURSE! CAN SOMEONE HEAR ME? SHE HAS GAINED CONSCIOUSNESS!"
The sound echoed through the room, bouncing off the sterile walls and reaching the girl's ears in a distorted haze. It was husky, heavy, and unfamiliar, yet strangely comforting in its urgency. Slowly, the fog began to lift, and through her blurred vision, she caught sight of a tall, broad figure standing at the foot of her bed, his voice filled with palpable worry.
With each blink of her eyes, the world around her sharpened into focus, revealing the man's features with greater clarity. He had an undercut, his presence commanding yet strangely reassuring. As her vision cleared, she met his gaze, her eyes locking with his in a silent exchange of understanding and reassurance.
In that moment, clarity washed over her like a gentle wave, and she knew that she was safe. With a sense of gratitude and relief, she allowed herself to sink back into the embrace of consciousness, ready to face whatever lay ahead with newfound strength and resolve.
As the doctor and nurses rushed into the room, their presence filled the space with a sense of urgency and purpose. With practiced precision, they began their examination, their movements swift and efficient as they worked to assess her condition. The doctor's voice cut through the air, his question a beacon of concern amidst the chaos.
"Are you feeling okay now, Miss?" the doctor inquired, his tone gentle yet probing. With the nurses' assistance, she gradually stirred, her head feeling heavy as she struggled to regain full consciousness. Adhrit watched on, his worry palpable yet tempered with a comforting sense of relief as he observed her gradual awakening.
After a thorough examination, the doctor delivered his prognosis, his words carrying both hope and caution. Her body was nearly recovered, he explained, save for her head, which still required time and rest to heal. He advised her to remain in the hospital for almost a week, allowing her to recuperate fully before being discharged.
Turning to Adhrit, the doctor emphasized the importance of proper care and support during her recovery. He designated Adhrit as her guardian, entrusting him with the responsibility of ensuring her well-being. Adhrit's gaze met hers, a silent exchange of understanding passing between them as they grappled with the weight of their newfound connection.
With a nod of agreement, Adhrit accepted the doctor's instructions, his resolve firm as he vowed to stand by her side through the challenges that lay ahead. And as she looked upon him, she couldn't help but feel a stirring of admiration for this remarkable man who had come to her aid in her time of need.
As the doctors left the room, a heavy silence settled between them, thick with unspoken tension. Each avoided the other's gaze, their minds swirling with unanswered questions and unspoken emotions. It was Adhrit who broke the uneasy stillness, his voice tentative yet filled with genuine concern.
"Are you feeling okay now?" he asked, his eyes searching hers for any sign of reassurance. She nodded in response, her own gaze flickering briefly towards his before darting away once more.
Sensing the need for a distraction, Adhrit announced his intention to fetch some food and water for her, his movements swift as he made his exit from the room. Alone in the quiet confines of the hospital room, the young girl found herself lost in a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions.
Who was she? Where was she? And who was this man who seemed to exude warmth and concern with every word and gesture? The sight of him stirred something deep within her, igniting a flutter of excitement in her heart.
As she pondered his identity, that how her eyes lingered on his departing figure, taking in every detail with unabashed admiration. His viridian-colored shirt hugged his form in all the right places, accentuating his chiseled features and deep, brown eyes. A shiver of anticipation coursed through her as she imagined the touch of his full eyelashes against her skin, the gentle brush of his neatly groomed facial hair.
Lost in reverie, she wrapped her arms around the pillow, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she surrendered to the intoxicating allure of this enigmatic stranger who had unwittingly captured her heart.
