let's start the story ╮(╯▽╰)╭
Jamie awoke with the first rays of dawn filtering through the curtains of his small bedroom.
Stretching lazily, he listened to the familiar sounds of the countryside:
Birds chirping outside his window, the distant lowing of cows, and the soft rustle of leaves in the morning breeze.
With a contented sigh, Jamie threw back the covers and swung his legs over the side of the bed.
Jamie
*thinking*
hm...let's get going...
He was used to early mornings on the farm; it was a routine he had grown accustomed to since childhood.
His grandparents depended on him for help, and Jamie took pride in being able to assist them with their daily chores.
Slipping into his worn jeans and a faded plaid shirt, Jamie tiptoed downstairs,
Jamie
*thinking*
I should get their and start the work....
Jamie tiptoed downstairs, careful not to wake his sleeping grandparents.
The farmhouse was quiet at this hour, the only sound his soft footsteps on the creaky wooden stairs.
Stepping outside, Jamie inhaled deeply, filling his lungs with the crisp, earthy scent of the morning.
Jamie
*sighs*
ah… It feels nice in the morning..
The sun had just begun to rise, casting a warm golden glow over the fields stretching out before him. It was going to be a beautiful day.
Making his way to the barn, Jamie found his grandfather already hard at work, tending to the animals.
With a smile and a nod, Jamie joined him, falling into the familiar rhythm of farm life.
Jamie
*looks at grandpa*
grandpa you woke up already?
Steve (grandpa)
*smiles*
yeah I just got up early let's continue the work
Together, they fed the chickens, milked the cows, and tended to the crops, their conversation sparse but comforting in its familiarity.
Jamie and his grandfather finished their morning chores, the sun climbing higher in the sky as they worked.
As they walked back towards the farmhouse, Jamie couldn't shake the feeling that something was weighing on his grandfather's mind.
Jamie
*thinking*
something's definitely going on in his mind I don't know what is he thinking?
Sitting down in the cozy living room, Jamie's grandparents exchanged a meaningful glance before his grandfather cleared his throat, breaking the silence that hung between them.
he began, his voice gentle but serious,
Steve (grandpa)
There's something we need to talk to you about.
Jamie's heart skipped a beat, a flicker of apprehension dancing in his chest.
He exchanged a nervous glance with his grandmother before turning his attention back to his grandfather, waiting for him to continue.
Steve (grandpa)
We've been thinking a lot lately
Steve (grandpa)
About your future here on the farm.
Jamie's stomach clenched with unease, a sinking feeling settling in the pit of his stomach.
Jamie
*thinking*
oh…no I know where is this going...
He had a feeling he knew where this conversation was headed, and he wasn't sure he was ready to hear it.
His grandmother chimed in, her voice soft and sympathetic,
Steve (grandpa)
We know how much you love helping us with the farm, but we worry that you're missing out on other opportunities, especially when it comes to your career.

Love you all <3
Jamie's heart sank at her words, the weight of their concern pressing down on him like a leaden blanket.
He had always known that his grandparents wanted what was best for him, but he hadn't realized just how much they worried about his future.
Steve (grandpa)
We want you to know, Jamie.
His grandfather added, his gaze steady and unwavering,
Steve (grandpa)
That we support you no matter what you choose. But we also want you to think about what's best for you in the long run, whether that means staying here on the farm or pursuing other opportunities elsewhere.
Margaret (grandma)
*smiles*
Yes Jamie we'll support your decision so don't hesitate okay sweetie.
Jamie swallowed hard, his throat tight with emotion. He knew that his grandparents were right.
That he needed to think about his future and what he truly wanted out of life.
But the thought of leaving the farm, of saying goodbye to the only home he had ever known, filled him with a sense of sadness and uncertainty.
Jamie
*thinking*
Should I leave my hometown and look for job in city leaving my grandparents alone?...
Lost in his thoughts, Jamie couldn't help but feel torn between his loyalty to his family and his own dreams and aspirations.
But one thing was certain: whatever path he chose to follow, Jamie knew that he would always carry the memories
Of his childhood on the farm, and the love and support of his grandparents, with him wherever he went.
Taking a deep breath, Jamie looked into his grandparents' eyes, seeing the love and concern etched into their faces. After a moment of contemplation, he nodded slowly.
Jamie
*he says softly*
You're right...
Jamie
I've been thinking about it too. I love the farm, and I love being here with you, but I think it's time for me to find a job in the city. I want to see what other opportunities are out there for me.
His grandparents' faces lit up with a mixture of relief and pride. His grandmother reached out to squeeze his hand, her eyes shining with unshed tears.
Margaret (grandma)
*she said warmly*
We're so proud of you, Jamie.
Margaret (grandma)
We know you'll do great things.
Jamie's grandfather nodded in agreement.
Steve (grandpa)
And remember, no matter where you go or what you do, this will always be your home. We'll always be here for you.
Jamie smiled, feeling a sense of hope and excitement mingling with his apprehension. As he embraced his grandparents, he couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead in the city.
and whether, by some twist of fate, his path might cross with Ethan's once more....

Jamie stood in his bedroom, the afternoon sun casting a warm glow through the window as he carefully folded his clothes and placed them into a worn suitcase.
The surrounding room was filled with the quiet sounds of packing: the soft rustle of fabric, the gentle click of zippers,
And the occasional thud of a book being added to the growing pile of belongings.
As he packed, Jamie's mind buzzed with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Jamie
*thinking*
I'm feeling nervous... did I make the right decision?... no it's for my best... and that's what my grandparents wants.
Leaving the farm and heading to New York City was a monumental step, one that promised new opportunities and challenges.
He had spent his entire life in the same small town, surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds of the countryside.
Now, he was venturing into the unknown, guided by the hope of building a future that aligned with his dreams.
His grandparents had been incredibly supportive, helping him make arrangements and offering words of encouragement.
Even now, they were downstairs, preparing a small farewell dinner to send him off with love and good wishes.
Jamie paused as he reached for a framed photo on his nightstand. It was a picture of him and Ethan, taken years ago in their favorite meadow.
Jamie
*thinking*
Is there a chance if I can see you again... or am I just a fool that I still miss you?... do you still remember me?...
They were both grinning from ear to ear, arms slung around each other in a carefree embrace.
They were both grinning from ear to ear, arms slung around each other in a carefree embrace.
Ethan. The thought of seeing him again after all these years filled Jamie with a mix of longing and uncertainty.
Jamie
*thinking*
can I really see you again?
He had no idea where Ethan was or what he was doing, but a part of him couldn't shake the hope that their paths might cross again in the bustling city.
With a sigh, Jamie placed the photo carefully in his suitcase, nestled between his clothes for safekeeping.
He continued packing, adding the last of his essentials before zipping the suitcase shut and setting it by the door.
As he took one final look around his room, Jamie felt a wave of emotions washes over him. This room, this house, the farm—
They held so many memories. Leaving them behind was bittersweet, but he knew it was time to embrace the future.
Descending the stairs, Jamie found his grandparents waiting in the kitchen, the table set with a simple but hearty meal.
His grandmother pulled him into a warm hug, her eyes glistening with tears.
Margaret (grandma)
*whispered*
We're going to miss you so much
She whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Jamie replied, his own voice trembling slightly.
Jamie
*smiles*
But I'll often visit, I promise.
His grandfather clapped him on the back, his grip firm and reassuring.
Steve (grandpa)
You're going to do great things, Jamie. We believe in you.
They sat down to eat, the conversation flowing easily as they shared stories and laughter, savoring their time together.
After dinner, Jamie helped with the dishes, the familiar routine grounding him amid the whirlwind of emotions.
Later that evening, as Jamie lay in bed for the last time in his childhood room, he stared at the ceiling, his mind racing with thoughts of the future.
Tomorrow, he would board a bus to New York City, leaving behind the farm and everything he had ever known.
But as he drifted off to sleep, Jamie felt a sense of hope and determination. This was the beginning of a new chapter in his life
One filled with endless possibilities. And maybe, just maybe, it would also bring him back to the person who had always held a special place in his heart.
