Under the bright sunlight coming through the church windows stood Iris , a well known actress with superb acting skills. She had acted in countless movies and had won several awards. She was happy , at least she was at first but today she stood in front of the Pope sharing wedding vows with someone she had just met.

Let’s take it back a few weeks. Iris had just woken up and was in a joyful mood. Today was her 3 year anniversary with her famous hunk actor boyfriend/ fiancé and it remained just a week before she could be called his wife “ Good morning! Are you up yet ? “ Iris’ phone buzed and she received a message from Jake her fiancé “ I’m up ! Just getting ready for our meeting today “ she replied back to him and waited for his reply “ oh ! I’ll leave you to it then. I have something to tell you today so I’ll see you very soon ok ? “ “ ok ! See you soon “ she replied as she walked into the bathroom grinning ear to ear. She had first met Jake by chance when she first started her career as an actress. They had worked on a movie together and he had helped her a lot what she needed it back then. One thing led to another and they started a relationship and were called a star couple. She was nothing less but smitten and was glad she had met him. She had just come out of the bathroom and was rubbing her hair dry with a towel when she received a call from her best friend Alice “ Hello bestie ! Happy Anniversary to you girl “ “ thanks ! “ Iris had known Alice sine they were kids and they were very close. Alice was someone she could pour out her feeling to and share her secrets with. “ so what are your plans for today ? “ Alice asked as Iris put her phone on loud speaker as she chose a dress from her closet “ I’m meeting Jake at a restaurant in a few minutes and after that we plan to spend the rest of the day together “ “ that sounds good ! What restaurant are you going to ? “ “ it’s the one with the scenic view at the middle of the city “ Iris replied and noticed some weird sounds coming form the phone “ sorry ! My boyfriend got in the way “ Alice said after a while into the phone her voice getting softer. Iris knew her best friend had been dating someone for the past year but she had never met him. Alice had never shown her any pictures of him either but Iris didn’t want to Roy into the business of other people and respected her friend decision of not sharing who her lover was “ I’ll let you guys have your fun ! I’ll hang up now “ Iris didn’t wait for her friend to reply and directly hung up the phone. She had finished dressing and checked the mirror to see if her appearance was ok. She was beautiful from the start and the red dress she put on excentuated her curvy body. Her fiery red hair flowed naturally down her back and her emerald green eyes shown like pearls. With a satisfied look on her face she picked up her phone and bag and walked out of the room.

Iris got into her car and drove to the designated location. She was a celebrity and waa easily recognized on the way. She didn’t pay much attention to it and even waved at some passerby’s. News quickly spread and Iris was getting good feedbacks form her fans. She walked into the building and was instantly directed to the private room Jake had booked. “ thank you ! I’ll take it from here “ Iris said I smiling at the waitress as she was about to open the door. The girl blushed , bowed her head and scurried off. Iris opened the door and the bag in her hand instantly fell to the floor with a thud “ you .... “ was the only thing she could mutter as tears slowly fell down her cheeks. In front of her stood the scene of her fiancé making out with a woman. She had short blonde hair and big round brown eyes. Iris knew who this woman was and would never have thought she could betray her “ Alice ... Jake ... can one of you please explain ? “ she asked her body trembling “ can’t you see ? I’m with Jake ! He’s my boyfriend. The one I’ve been talking to you about ! “ Alice said with a cold face. She had always been jealous of Iris since they were young and didn’t wish for her happiness at all. Iris had always gotten what her friend wanted even when she didn’t want it an Alice had been building up resentment. She had tried snatching many things away form Iris but nothing by ever seemed to work out but at last she managed to get the man Iris loved. It had took her time , sweat and lies to achieve her goal and was very satisfied seeing Iris in a sorry state. She had expected Iris to have a mental breakdown but unexpectedly she walked over and gave her a tight slap “ you slut ! I always knew you were envious of me but I never thought you would actually go this far. Back in high school you would set up little schemes to get me in trouble but I found them out and managed to avoid them. You always had hope that one day the source of your envy would fade but it never did. You became worse and worse as you grew. I tried my best I really did. I helped you get a modeling job when you wanted it, provided you with money when you were in trouble and this is how you repay me ? “ Iris was outraged. The anger and disappointment in her ad come flodding out in an instant and her tears had seized “ Stop ! “ Iris was about to hit Alice again when the silent Jake finally spoke up and grabbed her hand “ save your last bit of dignity and stop. I don’t love you anymore and you beating up Alice wouldn’t change a thing “ Iris frowned and released her hand from his grip swinging a fist at his face but before it could land she was hit in the head with something solid and she fainted

Alice stood above Iris’ body vase in hand and had a fierce look on her face. She had used the opportunity of Iris being distracted to knock her out cold “ are you crazy ? What if we’re found out and something happened to her “ Jake asked a frown on his face “ there are no cameras in the private room. All we have to do is to leave like nothing happened and tip a waiter to take care of the rest. I wouldn’t have done that if she had just broken down like I wanted her to. It’s a little frustrating to see how strong willed she is “ Alice bent down and brushed a strand of Iris’ hair behind her ear “ you sound quite experienced “ Jake muttered sarcastically earning him a glare from his lover “ I’ve watched enough movies to learn a few things about this stuff “ and just as she said this the private room door was opened again and a man fully clad in black walked in. He had a mask covering his entire face and gloves covering his hands. He had no part of his skin showing and had an aura which hinted he was not meant to be dealt with. He looked down at Iris laying on the floor and gently picked her up in his arms ignoring the tow people in the room but before he could leave Alice spoke her voice tinged with a bit of uneasiness “ hey ! Who the heck are you ! And what are you going to do with the girl “ the man glanced at her and his golden pupils shrank in disgust “ anything I do with my property is none of your concerns “ the mystery man had a voice that could melt any girl’s heart but at the same time could send goosebumps through someone’s skin “ I don’t care what you want to do to the girl but whatever it is our names shouldn’t be mentioned “ “ and am I supposed to know who you two are ? “ the man asked in an annoyed tone and turned to leave. Jake could feel the airy press the unknown man carried and was really scared. He kept having this nagging feeling that something bad was going to happen but he could do nothing to change the situation. The man walked out of the restaurant with Iris in his arms and laid her down in the backseat of his car “ move ! “ the man ordered and the driver immediately started the car and drove towards the Jackson family villa aka Iris’ parents home.

In the big villa stood an elegantly dressed couple surrounded by some men and looking scared. Just then the mysterious man dragged the already awake Iris into the room with him. “ let me go ! “ She kept asking while struggling but stopped when she saw her parents “ mom ! dad ! are you guys ok ? he didn’t hurt you did he ? “ the couple didn’t reply and looked down in shame not knowing what to tell their daughter. The man clad in black released Iris and waved his hand at his men signaling for them to leave and as soon as the did Iris ran over “ mom ! dad ! Why aren’t you guys saying anthing ? Can you explain what is going on “ she tried to reach out for their hands but was brushed off “ you’re not our daughter ! “ her mother said tears dripping from her face. Iris looked unyielding and tried to wipe her mother’s tears but was rudely pushed “ mom ! What’s wrong ? He made you say it right ? You’re joking right ? “ she asked tears brewing in her eyes pointing towards the man seating leisurely on their coach “ no he didn’t ! Iris dear , you’re not our daughter! “ Iris felt her world crashing down as her legs gave way and she collapsed on the floor with a thud.
