The man turned around, his test subject ran out the window! and all of his research was destroyed. His daughter grabbed him by the hand, "we need to get out of here" he nodded. They left the building on fire...

The following winter, 3 months after an apocalypse suddenly broke out, a human hybrid came and started to attack everyone. Whatever he was he was definitely contagious, his conditions were spread on to other people like wild fire. I'm Lieutenant Michael, and my men gets more and more anxious each day that passes by. Will this be the end in the human race?

huff, huff "S-sir, i'm the scientist who, um.. accidently lost the hybrid test subject.." I felt a mixture of surprise and anger, but before I could register any of those emotions he said something else.

"I might have some good news..."

In 2020 6 Gifted children were born and were taken into care by a military base to be trained and raised as soldiers to protect the remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

They grow up in isolation. All they ever come to know are the rooms they stay in doctors and the teachers who either give them combat trading or give them riddles puzzles and tests. And 17 years later the head of the base decided to unite them. they start off with three groups of two. Blaise meets Eira. Ayla meets Rai. Ara meets Brier.

And this is where the story officially begins.

My name is Blaise I'm 17. I was trained all my life to defend myself, not that I ever would need it because i have powers. My life was consisted of white walls, lab coats, needles, and tests. And until today I thought I was the only kid in this building until now.

The first time meeting this girl named Eira it was incredibly awkward. it may have to do with the fact we never talked to anyone our own age our whole lives or anyone ever. So this may have to be due to the fact we both are socially awkward.

"So, what power do you have?" I asked.

"Uh...i..can freeze things?"

Was that a question. I think she maybe even more nervous than I am.

"Do you think there could be other kids?"

I have been wondering this for a while. I mean they brought a girl here from thin air. I didn't know she existed? and I dont think she knew I existed. There could be others. with powers similar to mine.

"I guess there could be..."

she seemed lost in thought I wonder what she's thinking about.

"ok kids times up. time to go back to your rooms." a lady walked in with guards behind her to escort us to our rooms.

Even though we didnt say much to be honest I'm kinda dissapointed, I've never talked to anyone my age before.

"you'll meet others tomarrow."

"*mumble others...others!" so there are others!

I was pushed out before I could show my excitement, but it didnt matter because for once I had something to look forward to.

"doctor..."

"Elaine you don't need to call me that I'm your father"

"I know but..."

" I'm sorry, I couldn't save your mother..but I will find the cure! These children their not only powerful but they are also immune. they could be the answer to this problem."

"father...dont you think it's knid of cruel to raise them like this. They're still kids no matter how much power they have"

"I'm doing this for you Elaine... and for your mother."

"she's gone father... you know that"
