MDZS / The Untamed - What If Wei WuXian Never Died?
Episode 1
Lan Zhan screamed out as Wei Ying let go of his hand, plummeting down the cliff. His eyes brimmed with tears, collapsing to the floor as he watched Wei Ying’s faint smile disappear into the darkness.
Jiang Cheng watched blankly, his sword clutched in his hand. He gritted his teeth, taking a small glance at the crying Lan Zhan and couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt. The cold person who barely expressed emotion was crying.
the unknown girl muttered, scrambling to the unconscious Wei Ying. He was bleeding from all over, his body bent into a weird position with ghouls slowly creeping to him.
She squatted down, checking for a pulse. She let out a breath as she realised he was still alive, a miracle. His face was unrecognisable, blood dripping all over it. She stood back up, facing towards the creeping ghouls.
Wei Ying grunted as his eyes slowly opened, his vision clearing. His gaze rapidly shifted around the room, how was he not dead? The last thing he remembered seeing was the face of Lan Zhan’s. The last thing he heard was the screeched cry that the emotionless male had let out.
???
“I see that you’re awake.”
The girl spoke, she was sat by the bed Wei Ying was placed on. She had a blindfold masking her eyes, wearing a mainly black hanfu with a black ribbon to tie her half up ponytail.
He managed to cough out, letting out a grunt as he started to pull himself to sit up. The girl quickly aided him in sitting up, using pillows to prop up his back and made sure he was comfortable before replying.
???
“My name is Li Baihu. I nursed you back to health.”
The female spoke calmly, reaching to the side table to take out a pack of medicine with a glass of water, handing them to the injured male who reluctantly drunk it.
The male simply let out, but right after he took a sip of the water, his mind went foggy. His vision started to merge again and the next thing he knows he’s out cold.
The female spoke, catching the now collapsed male and laying him back into the bed. She got out a piece of quilt and paper, writing a note before leaving it on the edge of the bed and walking out.
episode 2
Wei Ying’s eyes opened again, a huff escaping his lips as his skull pounded against his head. His head turned to the side, ready to confront the female only to find a note.
He muttered, forcing himself to sit up before grabbing the piece of paper. He muttered the words under his breath as his gaze skimmed the text.
???
‘Dear person, I am deeply sorry for drugging you, I just wanted you to hear my name before I left. I am writing this to ask you to take care of my children for me until I return. Their names are Li Yue and Li Yang. Thank you a lot. -Li Baihu’
He asked himself, his head swinging around to look at the room, spotting no sign of any children. He then heard faint crying coming from another room.
He immediately jumped out of bed and stumbled towards the noise, finding a room with two small children inside of a bed. They seemed around toddlers, 3-4? He picked them both up, swaying back and forth with them in his arms
Wei Ying
“You know what? I’ll make you my children.. Wei Yue and Wei Yang.. perfect”
Over the years, Wei Ying had raised the children as his own, giving him the love he barely received as a kid. Making sure they trusted him, making sure that despite having the sibling rivalry, they still loved and cared about each other deeply.
Wei Yue and Wei Yang are both now grown up, the twins being now 16 years old. The three hide away from society incase the world still despises Wei Ying. They know Wei Ying isn’t their real father, but they treat him like their dad nonetheless, and he loves it just like that.
Over the years, Wei Ying had taught the twins about how to fight and to defend themselves, even the basics of demonic cultivation. He even mentioned about why he was shunned from the world, the real story. They know everything that their ‘father’ knows.
episode 3
The twins were practicing their hand to hand combat skills with each other, both being equally as competitive as the other.
Wei Yue had pinned Wei Yang to the ground, smirking at his succeeded victory. Wei Ying watched, his legs dangling over some rocks which led to a small river as he watched the two children.
Wei Yang
“That’s not fair!”
She complained, standing up and aggressively dusting off her hanfu with a grunt. Wei Yue let out a low chuckle, flopping onto a rock beside their father as he leaned back.
Wei Yue
“And how is that not fair? It’s not like I used any magic.”
He retaliated, dodging as a small pebble was thrown his way. Wei Ying laughed at the twins argument, reminding him of the times when he’d argue with Jiang Cheng. But he pushed those thoughts away, along with the life he had left behind years ago.
She demanded, to which Wei Yue happily agreed. The two started to fight again, making sure to not go over the limits and severely damage one another. A rule Wei Ying made them swear by following no matter what. This time, Wei Yang won.
Wei Yue
“That one was pure luck.”
Wei Yue grunted out, annoyed that he lost against his petty sister who stood gleefully. He gave her a small shove before joining their father by the rocks. He sat down, swinging his legs over the edge.
After a few seconds of Wei Yang swimming in her pride, she eventually sat beside their father as-well, the three looking like one happy family.
They talked for hours on end, until the sun started to set which created a beautiful sunset to enjoy. That was all disrupted by faint chatter of people approaching. No one has even neared this place in over 13 years, and now they’re suddenly appearing.
Wei Ying
“Quick, inside the cave.”
He demanded, running behind the two kids as they rushed into the cave. He rolled the door shut, the three hiding in a corner together. Wei Yue held his sister with one hand over her shoulders, the other grasping his fathers hand. She pressed herself into her brothers chest, her hands wrapping around his waist as her eyes watched her father. Whereas Wei Ying was pulling a brave front, panicking inside and praying for them to leave.
Wei Ying was silently hoping it was the twins mother, even if he didn’t want to see her face again. But it couldn’t be, it was a group of people and none of them sounded like a girl.
The door to the cave they were in rolled open, and then entered a tall man wearing a white robe with a group of juniors trailing behind him.
Wei Ying stood up, shielding the children with his body as he faced the group. His eyes widened as he realised who it was. So did the man’s, the juniors stood there confused as they waited for their senior to speak.
