Chapter 1

Linda was thirteen years old when her mom died. It was a tragic event because she died in a car accident. Linda couldn’t believe that her mom was dead. She cried from dusk till and and wouldn’t eat anything until she was forced to eat. At the funeral site, Linda cried all her hearts out as a mother’s coffin was lowered into the ground. Linda and her father went home after the funeral and she cried herself to bed.

Chapter 2

A year later, as Linda was sitting in the hall watching some tv, her dad came. He told Linda that he wanted to marry again so that he could forget all what happened. Linda didn’t want her dad to marry. She didn’t want a stepmom and she also didn’t want to forget about her mom. She cried and left the hall and went to her room.

Another year later, her father got married to a woman called Lucy. Lucy took care of Linda as her own child. They cooked together,washed the dishes together and even cleaned the house together but suddenly all that changed when Lucy gave birth. She gave all the attention to the baby girl who was called Kate forgetting that Linda was alive. She made Linda do all the house work for a loaf of bread. Linda’s father was always traveling so he didn’t even know what was going on. When Kate was old enough she also made Linda’s life miserable even though Linda was older than her. She didn’t make Linda happy in her own house. Lucy even made Linda sleep in the attic and used Linda’s room as a dressing room.

Chapter 3

One day, Lucy claimed that her money was missing and that she suspected Linda. Linda couldn’t believe it and when she tried to explain to her step mother that she wasn’t the one, Lucy just slapped Linda on the face. This made Linda sad and she went to her room. When her father came home, Lucy told him about what happened. He was very angry with Linda because he taught her not to take anything that does not belong to her. He banged on the attic door which was now Linda’s room. When Linda saw him she got up and said;

Welcome daddy she cleans the tears of her eyes and goes forward to hug her father. He goes back and avoids the hug. Why did you steal from your mother

Linda rolled her eyes. I didn’t steal from her and she is not my mother she shouted.Linda’s father slapped her on the cheek and left the room. Linda was shocked that she cried herself to bed that night.

Chapter 4

The next morning, Linda didn’t see her father in the house. As usual, she did all the chores in the house and she was given a loaf of bread. In the evening, her father didn’t come to her room and he even avoided her. This became an everyday routine that she had to deal with. She was fed up and she decided to run away and go to a faraway place where no one can disturb her again and where she would find a job to do. She packed some food and some other stuff that she would be needing. She waited for the next morning to make her move .

Chapter 5

The next morning, Linda was ready to set on the road. She had all she needed. She set off in the morning and was looking for a place where is very far from her house. Linda wanted to start a new chapter of her life. She crossed rivers,mountains and valleys before she reached a village called the village of love. She walked till she reached a hut in front of her. Linda knocked on the door and an old lady opened the door. Linda greeted her and told her that she came from a very far place and she was really really hungry. The old lady was very friendly and kind that she brought Linda in and gave her food and a nice bed to sleep on. Linda was very grateful for the old woman’s help that she slept peacefully that night.

Chapter 6

The next morning, Linda got up very early,swept the house,fetched water and did the rest of the house chores. When the old lady got up, she saw that the house was sparkling clean. She was amazed by the good work done by this girl.Young woman the old lady started, you have proved to me that you are from a well disciplined family.What is your name? My name is Linda, she replied to the old woman. Linda,my name is Michelle and I really admire your hard work. Do you have a job? No please but I would love to work Linda replied gleefully. I would send you to the market square today so that we can find the perfect job for you, Michelle which was the old woman’s name replied.

Chapter 7

The next morning, Linda and Michelle went to the market square and searched for the perfect job for her until they found a seamstress sewing dresses. First class dresses. Linda had a secret, she loved to sew dresses and also design dresses. Linda was put to test by the lady who was called Lois. Lois was amazed by the good and marvelous work done by Linda. So Lois made Linda work that day.

Chapter 8

After Linda working so hard for months,she became the manager of the shop after Lois married and went oversea. Linda got a lot of money and she hired many people to come and work for her. She even built a house for Michelle and herself.She was very happy of what had become of her. One day,a young beautiful lady came to Linda’s shop for a work. When she came in Linda’s office, Linda suddenly remembered that face,it was Kate. Linda was very surprised and so was Kate.Umm Linda,I’m looking for the manager here she said and takes her seat.I’m the manager here said Linda.

Chapter 9

Linda went home after a long day at work. When she went to the bedroom,she fell on the bed and slept peacefully.The next morning at work,a young and handsome man came into the shop for a dress.He was called Anderson.Linda said,hello sir,how can I help you?Anderson replied saying;,I’m here to purchase a suit at ). Linda measured Anderson and told him to come the next morning. Anderson nodded and went out.Linda was in love with Anderson. She started working on the suit that day. After finishing the suit,she went home,showered and slept.

Chapter 10

The next morning after Linda was done with the house chores, she went to work. She was looking forward in seeing Anderson.She waited for Anderson but there was no sign of him. Linda was giving up when she saw him entering the entrance.Anderson greeted Linda and after Linda gave Anderson the suit,they started chatting. They chatted like old friend. Linda liked the company of Anderson and she wanted to be near him no matter the problem.After they had finished chatting,Anderson wanted to leave but Linda insisted he stay. Anderson stayed and they talked about their lives. The two were in love. Anderson told Linda how he felt for her. Linda also said the same thing to Anderson and she kissed him. It was very late and Anderson got up to leave and Linda closed for the day and followed Anderson out the shop. After a long but sweet walk, they parted ways. Linda went home and slept on the couch feeling very happy and satisfied.

Chapter 11

After some months of being together, Anderson proposed

Linda and Anderson were planning their wedding. Linda was sewing their wedding dresses whiles Anderson was buying all the necessary things. It was a busy day for the two of them. Linda finally finished the dresses and went to help Anderson. They planned to get married at the beach side.So there was much more to do.

Chapter 12

The day of the wedding arrived and many people were there. Linda was dressing in her room by herself. She was very nervous but happy. After dressing, an old man came in, took her hands and took her to the beach side were her to-be husband was. Everyone stood up when the bride came. Linda and Anderson walked down the aisle together. They made the vows, wore the ring and did everything necessary. They then became husband and wife. The wedding was very successful. After the wedding,Linda packed up her things to Anderson’s house. Anderson was very happy.

Chapter 13

A year later, Linda became pregnant. The doctor found out that she would give birth to twins,a boy and a girl . Linda and Anderson were very happy with the good news. Seconds became minutes, minutes became hours, hours became days, days became weeks, weeks become months and finally Linda gave birth to two adorable babies. They named the girl Joana and the boy John. Linda stayed in the hospital for a couple of days and they made her went home with her bouncy babies. They moved into a bigger house where there was a garden. They look after their children with love and care and they lived together happily
