"Thank you, sir," responds the young lady to a gentleman in his mid-40s. The young woman is Bai Lu, who stopped her jog in the middle of the night to get some roasted walnuts from a stand on the side of the road. Although it may seem strange to some, it is quite normal to be out at 12:00 am, so young in the morning, in Soul, a city in Korea. "Have a nice rest of your day, Miss Bai Lu," the old gentleman exclaimed to her with an ever so sincere smile. He knew Bai Lu's name, as she'd been his regular customer for the past few days.

    After a long and refreshing jog, Bai Lu decides to go home. She waits for the light to turn green so that she can cross the road. Soon after, the lights turn green for the passers wanting to cross the zebra crossing. As Bai Lu got ready to cross the road, her eyes fell on an old lady who was struggling to cross the road. Being a kind-natured person, Bai Lu rushed toward the lady and helped her while some people passing by glanced at her weirdly, while others didn't even pay attention to the two.

    While crossing the road, “Are you alright, ma'am” asks Bai Lu. The peculiar lady doesn't respond; she just smiles and nods her head, which seemed as if she were observing something, but what? Why would a lady her age be all alone at 1:29 am, that too on the busiest road in Soul? Thought Bai Lu. So out of curiosity, Bai Lu questions the peculiar lady, “May I know why you are all alone on such a busy street that to at 1:30 am?” “Well, to meet my grandchild, of course. He is three months old.” Said the lady in response.

After the little chat, Bai Lu and the lady reach the other side of the zebra crossing. “Oh, congratulations to your son and daughter-in-law. Shall I walk you home then?”Out of nowhere, the peculiar lady grabs Bai Lu's hand, causing her to flinch. “What is your favorite time period, my child?” The lady spoke in a wise tone. Why would she ask such a strange and silly question? Bai Lu thought to herself as she frowned and raised her eyebrows. “Um..... Probably the Han Dynasty. I have written an essay on it in college really recently plus, it has a lot of mysteries to uncover, one of which is about the Emperor Cheng Yuan, who was said to be really cruel.”  “Well, would you like to change that?” Exclaimed the old lady in a whisper with a grin on her face. Bai Lu paused for a minute, then she responded, “Well, of course, why should someone spend their whole life being cruel and a cold-hearted person? But how can I-wait? Why are you asking such silly questions? Ma'am.” She doesn't answer Bai Lu's question; she just gives a very soft smile while handing her a one-of-a-kind stone with magnificent carvings on it.  “Show him your love; Change The History, you were Destined to.”

    Whatever came out of the lady's mouth seemed like the untold truth. As those words left the lady's mouth, Bai Lu looked down at her palms as the stone was shining brighter than anything she had ever seen. When Bai Lu came back to her senses and looked up the lady that was standing in front of her a few seconds ago was nowhere to be seen. It was as if she had been banished into thin air.

As those words left the lady's mouth, Bai Lu looked down at her palms as the stone was shining brighter than anything she had ever seen. When Bai Lu came back to her senses and looked up the lady that was standing in front of her a few seconds ago was nowhere to be seen. It was as if she had been banished into thin air.

  Bai Lu was left confused with so many thoughts inside her mind; it all happened so fast, and it felt as if someone placed a very complex math problem in front of a 5-year-old and told them to solve it. Show him my love; change the history; we were destined? Bai Lu recalled the words the lady had said to her a few minutes ago. While still processing everything that had happened to Bai Lu, a portal had opened in front of her. And without glancing in front of her, Bai Lu walks inside of it. Meanwhile, a drunk man walking by had witnessed everything that had happened. “Whoa, what is going on? They must be more drunk than me. Wait, wait, did that old lady just turn into a butterfly? And now she's a beautiful young lady.” The drunk man blinks his eyes several times, not believing his own eyes.

    “Guess I had way too much to drink; now I'm seeing things.” This time he rubs his eyes to confirm his thoughts, but when he opens his eyes, he flinches upon seeing the woman who was an old lady a few moments ago standing in front of him. “What are you most afraid of?” Asks the now-young and beautiful lady. He scoffs, not believing what she just said. He sees all this as some stupid prank. “People these days, what kind of obscured question is this? Oh, wait, make sure you add a filter and make me look handsome in your prank video,” scoffs the drunk man. He laughs while chugging the already half-empty bottle of alcohol while walking away. “It's clowns, isn't it?” Chuckles the lady. The drunkie stops at his spot and looks back at the lady in fear. “You saw them killing your family in front of your eyes, but they bribed you; is money more important to you?”

    “Wwho are you, and what nonsense are you talking about?” The lady chuckles, seeing him panicking. “You have to pay for your sins; you can't bribe us for it!” Says the lady in an inhuman voice. The man starts seeing clowns inside his head laughing like maniacs the closer the lady got to him the more the pain was increasing.“You will suffer the same suffering as..........” Those were the last words heard in the ally as both of them disappeared.

After entering a portal, Bai Lu is taken to a whole new world, but unfortunately for her, the portal takes her over an area that is filled with water. Bai Lu initiated a cry for help; however, as a result of the immense pressure exerted by the water and Bai Lu's drowning, her voice emitted muffled sounds. Bai Lu attempts to save herself by waddling her hands and feet, but it is ineffective. Bai Lu's body felt limb, fatigue and was way too pressurized to continue struggling, so in defeat, she closed her eyes, ready to accept what fate had planned for her. Right when Bai Lu almost sank to the bottom, a pair of muscular arms came and wrapped around her waist. She held on to the pair of arms as she put her hands on them. Bai Lu was able to feel all the veins on her savior's arms.

    Soon, Bai Lu and her savior reached the surface of the water. She started coughing and gasping for air. After Bai Lu's body settled down and relaxed a bit, she slowly opened her eyes, taking a look at her savior in order to express her gratitude. Bai Lu found herself in a stranger's arms; he looked as if he were in his mid-20s, just like Bai Lu. The handsome guy had his hair up in a bun that Bai Lu had never seen before. Bai Lu looked around and found herself surrounded by hallmarked men in a somewhat of a swimming pool from ancient times.

“Your face resembles my idol, Wang Yibo!” Chirped Bai Lu. Out of admiration and not being able to resist herself, Bai Lu runs her hands on his face, admiring his beauty.

“你是誰, 你是怎麼進來的(Who are you, and how did you get in here?)” Questions the handsome man in a stern voice.Bai Lu frowns and raises her eyebrows because he spoke in traditional Chinese, which was long gone and very ancient. The only reason Bai Lu was able to understand him was because of her ancestral background. Like a wave of shock, the lady's words struck her like a truck. Bai Lu looks around to see herself in a very beautiful and ancient architecture. Still not believing her eyes, Bai Lu asks, “Where am I?” In order to confirm. “男人洗澡的地方 (a place where men take a bath).” Responded the handsome man with a straight face and a hold tone. But Bai Lu turned red as a tomato on his remark.

Bai Lu jumped from his embrace and tried to get out of the water.

“誰派你來這裡監視我們的。你屬於哪個帝國?'(who sent you here to spy on us.What empire do you belong to?)'” Asked the same handsome hunk who seemed to be the leader of all.

His words scared Bai Lu, as she couldn't comprehend and understand what he was talking about. “帶她去帝族法庭! (Take her to the Imperial Clan Court!)”  Shouted the handsome man.

Why did the handsome man order the guards to take her to the Imperial Clan Court? He's not going to put her in the dungeon is he? Could this handsome man be taking her to the Emperor or is he the emperor? Read more to find out.
