Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"It has always been like this," Skylia said to herself as she looked up at her family.
The crowd was so noisy as they shouted,
person
she threatened the royal family!
People surged towards Skylia, throwing rocks at her.
She didn't say anything and endured the harsh words and wounds to her body while blood dripped, staining her clothes.
She just looked up at her father, the emperor, her stepmother, the empress, and her stepsiblings.
Her eyes and heart yearned for love, acceptance, and happiness, yet fate was cruel to her.
Counsellor
Princess Skylia Emerald Y Edrea, the 5th princess of the Empire of Crystal, you are sentenced too death for threatening the royal family with dark magic. Do you have any last wish?
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Skylia took a breath and said, "Greetings, my the Sun bless the empire. Your Majesty the Emperor," and looked back at them as her eyes filled with love.
Emperor Thaddeus Moss Y Edrea
What is your last wish?
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Skylia smiled sweetly as if all her wounds disappeared. "For one last time, Your Majesty, just for once, can I call you father?" Her eyes filled with anticipation, yearning for the love she craved.
The council members began to reject her, saying that the emperor mustn't acknowledge a traitor like her. The empress and the princes followed suit.
Emperor Thaddeus Moss Y Edrea
The Emperor hesitated as he felt a slight break in his heart. "Yes, you may call me father," he finally conceded, ignoring the council's protests.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Skylia's face then lit up, giving her best smile, and finally said, "Thank you, Emperor," she smiled lovingly as the Emperor then added,
Emperor Thaddeus Moss Y Edrea
Tell me, what do you want? Say anything, and I'll give it to you," the Emperor said coldly.
Emperor Thaddeus Moss Y Edrea
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Skylia kept smiling and shook her head, and said, "I... I just want you... To look at me as a father, not an Emperor,"
And then the executioner mercilessly killed Skylia in front of the Empire of Crystal.
The Emperor's cold heart broke as soon as he heard what his daughter said and left alone in a hurry.

Chp1.2 "Fate's Yielding Embrace"

No more etc. Let's get down to business
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Everything went dark, and that's when I realized I was dead again for the fiftieth time now.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I'm so tired of waking up and repeating everything, longing for a family and yearning to be loved. Is it too much to ask? When I remembered my first life, it was almost the same as it is now.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I've lost count of how many times I've relived this cycle. Each time, hoping for a different outcome, yet finding myself trapped in the same patterns.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
The ache for connection and belonging grows stronger with each iteration, yet it remains elusive. As I navigate through this familiar yet ever-changing world, I wonder if there's a way to break free from this endless loop and find the peace I've been searching for.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"It's always been like this, and I'm very tired of repeating everything. Even if I tried to change my fate fifty times, my family would never look at me the way they look at Tiana. It makes me happy that he allowed me to call him father, but in the end, I couldn't bring myself to say it."
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
My name is Naya, and this is my first life. I live in Korea. My parents died in a plane crash when I was five years old. My grandma, who is my father's mother, came to take care of me—or so I thought.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
My life changed after the funeral of my parents, that's when they started mistreating and abusing me at such a young age. They made me cook, clean, wash dishes, and do laundry. They even made me stop studying and ordered me to pay for my own food and bed. But where else is my bed? Of course, beside Ali, my one and only friend, the puppy I rescued when my parents were alive.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Fortunately, my grandma didn't throw Ali away since I begged her not to, and I promised to pay for both of our meals. Sometimes, Ali brings me food when we have nothing to eat, if grandma didn't leave food for us.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Life was very tough, especially when I became of age and tried to find work since I didn't finish studying. Luckily, I managed to learn how to read, count, and write. Wondering how I learned? It's because of our kind neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Hyung. They taught me the basics of reading, writing, and counting, which helped me a lot. I worked as a part-timer at the grocery store as a saleslady from 6 AM to 12 noon. Then, from 1 PM to 6 PM, I worked at a small restaurant as a dishwasher and janitor. From 6 PM to 11 PM, I worked at the bookstore owned by my grandpa Chan, who resembles my maternal grandfather, Grandpa Flen, so much.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I feel safe around people like Grandpa Chan, Mr. and Mrs. Hyung, and especially Ali. When I came home from work, I brought a lot of food for Ali and me to share. Yet, fate didn't give me even the slightest happiness. The night I came home, I was shocked to see my grandmother with her usual disgusting look towards me, sitting on the sofa. When I was about to pay my respects, she slapped me directly, took my bag, ripped it open, making it unusable, and took my wallet.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Then, she went outside. I just cried, picked up my stuff, and went outside to my best friend Ali. I kept crying alone while Ali comforted me, leaning his head on my lap, looking at me as if he wanted to say something.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
After that terrible night, my dog and I didn't have anything to eat. Luckily, I had bought a loaf of bread on my way home from my part-time job. I gave it to Ali so at least he wouldn't have to sleep on an empty stomach. That's what I remembered after I reincarnated as the princess of the Crystal Empire. I thought I could feel the warmth of having a family, yet that's what I thought.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Before waking up in the strange, dirty, and dusty room inside the body of a 5-year-old child, I thought I was just dreaming. Yet this granny appeared, looking more terrifying than my own grandmother. She stood in front of me, her eyes resembling sharp knives piercing right through me. Then, my body started to tremble as if it knew what would happen next.
"Soul's Burden Fate"
(-Before waking up in the strange, dirty, and dusty room inside the body of a 5-year-old child, I thought I was just dreaming. Yet this granny appeared, looking more terrifying than my own grandmother. She stood in front of me, her eyes resembling sharp knives piercing right through me. Then, my body started to tremble as if it knew what would happen next.-)
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"Who are you?" I managed to squeak out, my voice barely audible in the musty air.
Maricopa
The granny's lips curled into a wicked smile, revealing a mouthful of yellowed teeth. "Oh, dearie, you don't remember, do you?" Her voice was a raspy whisper that sent shivers down my spine.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I shook my head, fear knotting my stomach. "Remember what?"
Maricopa
Her eyes narrowed, glinting with a dark amusement. "Pretending you've lost your memories get up and get to work!"
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I scrambled to my feet, my heart pounding in my chest. "Work? What do you mean?"
Maricopa
The granny chuckled, a sound that echoed eerily in the cramped room. "Oh, you'll see soon enough. There's plenty to be done around here." Her tone brooked no argument, and I knew better than to defy her. Trembling, I nodded and took a tentative step forward, unsure of what awaited me in this strange new world.
(-That's when I remembered that the woman who greeted me the day I woke up in this world was the head maid of the emperor's palace, Maricopa. By the look of her face and eyes, I could sense that she didn't like me. From my first life up until my last, she and the empress were the ones who made my life in vain. Even if I keep changing my destiny or fate, everything seems to flow as what's been written.-)
Maricopa's eyes bore into mine, a smirk playing on her lips as if she held all the cards in this twisted game of fate.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
"What do you want from me, Maricopa?" I demanded, my voice tinged with defiance, though I knew it was futile to resist.
Maricopa
She chuckled darkly, a sound that sent a shiver down my spine. "Oh, just the same thing I've always wanted," she replied, her tone dripping with malice. "Your undying loyalty and obedience."
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I gritted my teeth, frustration boiling inside me. "I won't be your pawn anymore," I retorted, my voice trembling with newfound determination.
Maricopa
Maricopa's smirk widened, her eyes glinting with amusement. "We'll see about that, won't we?" she replied cryptically, her words hanging in the air like a sinister promise.
(-I'm tired. My body is tired of repeating everything. It makes me just want to kill myself again. My life has been flowing as it was before, me doing the maids' chores, cooking, doing the laundry, and when I just want to sit and rest, they'll lock me up in the basement. As usual, with this baby body and the strength of a 5-year-old, I surely cannot complete the tasks faster.-)
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I slumped against the wall, exhaustion weighing heavy on my small shoulders. "I can't do this anymore," I whispered, my voice.
Maricopa
Maricopa's gaze bore into mine, her expression unreadable. "You know the consequences of disobedience," she said, her tone cold and unforgiving.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
Tears welled up in my eyes as frustration and despair threatened to consume me. "I don't care anymore," I choked out, the words bitter on my tongue. "I'd rather die than continue living like this."
Maricopa
Maricopa's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Death is not an escape, child," she replied, her voice sending a chill down my spine. "But if that's what you truly desire, who am I to stand in your way?"
(-Maricopa's words hung in the air, chilling me to the bone. Was she serious? Would she truly allow me to end my own life?-)
(-Trembling, I pushed myself away from the wall and stumbled towards the staircase, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. As I reached the top step, Maricopa's hand shot out, grabbing my shoulder with a grip like iron.-)
Maricopa
"Where do you think you're going?" she hissed, her nails digging into my skin.
Skylia Emerald Y Edrea
I flinched at the pain, but defiance burned within me. "I won't be your prisoner anymore," I spat, tears streaming down my cheeks. "I'd rather die on my own terms than continue living like this."
Maricopa
Maricopa's grip tightened, her eyes flashing with anger. "You foolish child," she growled, her voice low and dangerous. "Death is not the answer. You will obey me, or suffer the consequences."
(-One day, they ordered me to clean the emperor's chamber. My body shivers as flashbacks strike my mind, remembering the dreadful memories I had with the emperor as I begged them not to make me clean, but they threatened to lock me in the basement.-)
(-I couldn't hold back the tears any longer, my shoulders shaking with silent sobs as I scrubbed at the floor-).
