It was a usual day where I grab a cup of coffee and head out to work. I worked at the company for more that 4 years as soon as I graduated from university. As usual I had to bear with director Kang's workaholic nature as he kept assigning me more reports to write and I ended up working overtime unpaid.

(Sara's phone rings as she was walking to a restaurant at 11 pm)

Sara: Hello, deputy director of marketing team speaking...

Unknown: Yes, good evening I deeply regret to inform you that we will no longer need your services and you can collect your paycheck tomorrow at 10 o'clock....chatter..chatter

I couldn't believe what I was hearing,' it possibly couldn't be..' but I couldn't bring myself to accept this. I had worked day and night at this company and even had to sacrifice my relationship because of the work load...

As I walked, I had no idea where I was heading to and walked to the crossroad.

As I crossed the road, I paid no attention to the traffic light...

(Car honking and lights flashed)

Bang....thud!

Sara: uh.. (bleeding continuously)

Unknown: hey! Hey! Are you okay?!... Someone call the ambulance... Hurry!!!

I guess it was too late as by the time help arrived, I closed my eyes for the last time... This time for an eternal journey. I guess it was late for me to realise how much I missed out on life and I regretted many of my life choices...

In my last moments I didn't see my family nor did I see any of my friends... But I saw Chris, the only person who ever loved me for being myself...

I never realised I would regret dying this young as I thought I had given up on life 7 years ago..I guess I was wrong because as I faced death, I missed Chris so much that even as a soul I wanted to cry...

(In a white and black dimension)

Black reaper: Hello! oh you broken soul... I hope I don't have to explain what happened as you might have already guessed... You died in a car accident.

Sara: Yeah... I kinda regret not being able to enjoy this life..ya know....

Black reaper: I figured that much... Anyways, the reason I summoned you here is because I was quite surprised by the appearance of your soul in my realm of death as your kindling candle suggests otherwise.

Sara: (uninterested) yeah how astonishing.... So I'm guessing that whatever crap that is your talking about shouldn't concern me as I am supposed to live a happy eternal life?!

Black reaper: I think you are mistaken. The kindling candle is supposed to show your life line, which in human terms means it tells us your lifespan...

Sara: So I'm supposed to live a longer life but you took my soul to early?

Black reaper: Yes... However I cannot send you back to earth to the current timeline as your burial ceremony is already done, which means your corpse already started to decompose...

Sara: (disheartened) oh.. so I won't get to see Mylie(Sara's little sister) and Chris anymore...

Black reaper: However I could assign you a reincarnation or you could go back in time... But I highly doubt you would want relive that awful life as yours....

Sara: excited... Really?! How could I go back then??

Black reaper: Yes you can. And you could also travel back in time three times in your lifetime...that means from the moment you set foot on earth to the moment of death...anytime between these two dates you can travel....

Sara: I understood...Thank you for giving me this second chance...

I was excited at this second chance at life because now I can avoid making any life decisions I regretted making and I can change the course of time for the better....

When I closed my eyes and opened them, I woke up in my bed....

(Alarm ringing...)

Sara: eyes opening slowly... Where am I?

Ah.. Now I remember the reaper told me that I went back in time now...that makes sense...what day is it today?

(Sees the calender on the wall)

Sara: hmm... let's see... It's 21 April 2012...

So I went twelve years back in time so I'm probably 13 years old... And this my old bedroom in middle school...

(Door opens gently)

Mom: Sara... It's time to wake up honey...Oh you're already up...come and grab some breakfast downstairs after you're done getting ready for school..

(Smiles and closes the door)

Sara: Okay mom...sigh... Alright then I guess I'm back to middle school again...wait...excited...I'm back to middle school again?! That means Chris is still there...and Mylie!...

As soon as I had realised that I could meet the people I missed for so long, I got up from bed and quickly took a shower... It had been such a long time since the last time I wanted to start my day so eagerly...

(Runs down stairs to the dining table...)

Sara: Mom! Where is Mylie? And what's for today's breakfast?!

Mom: Oh!.. good morning Sara... Mylie just woke up and went to take a shower...And today's breakfast is banana and chocolate chip pancakes! Your favourite...

In that moment I couldn't help but cry... It had been so long since someone cared about me... after all even in the face of death I died alone and with no one to care for me...

Mom: God Sara! Why are you crying sweetheart? Is everything alright?...

Sara: Yeah..sniffles... everything's fine. It's just that I love banana and chocolate chip pancakes...

Mom: Aww... Don't cry for that honey... I'll make them everyday if you want...

Sara: chuckles....No mom...If you made them everyday, I'd lose intrest in them...

Mom: if you say so...

(Distinct laughing...Mylie sneaks onto Sara quietly...)

Mylie: Surprise! Did I scare you?

Sara: Oh my...Mylie!

(Hugs Mylie and holds her tightly on the shoulders)

Sara: Mylie I missed you!

Mylie: hmm... Now would you look at that... Just 8 hours ago before bedtime she scolded me for breaking her new record player...even though I apologized and promised to do the dishes for a month!

Sara: haha.... awkward... I'm sorry...I was just not in the right mind yesterday and got frustrated and ended up venting it on you...

Mylie: utterly shocked....is this the same Sara Yu that scolded me yesterday?!...'the' Sara Yu apologizing?....Now that's a first...

Sara: Hey...people can change sometimes...

(Looks at the cloak)

Sara: Crap! I'll be late for school today...

(Grabs her bag and rushes out the door...)

I barely made it in time and when I entered the class...There was a brief moment of silence...

And the chatter continued

Sara: Hey... Good morning...

It had been so long that I forgot most of my classmates' names so the entire day was quite awkward...

For instance:

Harper: Hey Sara... check this out....this is the most hilarious thing on the internet!

Sara: Oh..hey...umm..Emily! Yeah it's quiet funny...haha..awkward...

Harper: Ohh Sara....Your sense of humour is really admirable...hahaha...

She wasn't lying when she said that because when I was in middle school, I was called the class clown because of my pathetic attempts at jokes....

Sara: Yeah....haha

The entire day was like a maze where I had avoid my classmates questions on why I was acting so weird that day....After what felt like an eternity, It was lunch break and I headed to the cafeteria for lunch...

(On her way to the cafeteria)

Chris: Bump shoulders against each other... I am so sorry... I'm kind of in a hurry...

Sara: Oh! It's okay...looks up...gasps...Are you Chris?

Chris: Sorry? Do I know you?

That was when I realised that this was the first time I met Chris in the previous timeline... Ofcourse he doesn't know me...

Sara: Ah... don't worry about that. I heard a friend mention your name so...

Chris: Oh okay...Well excuse me then... It was nice to meet you...we should hang out sometime...

Sara: Oh sure...Bye for now

(Chris smiles and leaves...)

As he went, I just realised how cute he looked....

After lunch was over, I went back to class but on the way I saw Taylor... The class president....snooping around Harper's bag.... So I decided to see what she was up to quietly and saw that she took out Harper's Diary and placed it under my desk... That's when I realised that today was the day when I was accused of stealing her diary and taking advantage of her....

Sara: Taylor... The homeroom teacher is calling for you...

Taylor: Oh Sara...nervous.... What are you doing here? ....Ohh..Okay!

(Smiles nervously and leaves...)

Ofcourse the homeroom teacher didn't call her... I just wanted to stall her and put the diary back in Harper's bag before Taylor realises...

(Sara puts the diary back in Harper's bag when a paper falls out of it...)

Sara: huh?.... What's this?

When I tried to pick it up and put it back.... Harper arrives and starts talking super anxiously as if she did something she shouldn't have and tried to hide the paper behind the desk with her leg....

Harper: Sara! A..are y...you done with your lunch? Havana wants to play basketball before the bell rings for the next class... Come on let's go play!!

Sara: Oh... Okay!

I wondered why she was so anxious to hide that piece paper unless I shouldn't read it since it was from her diary... But luckily she didn't notice that I might have dropped it while going through her stuff and just thought she accidentally dropped it...

The entire day goes smoothly and when it was time to go home....

Sara: Goodbye guys.... See you tomorrow!

Harper and Valerie: Bye Sara... reach home safe...

On my way home... I bumped into Chris once again!

Sara: Oh Chris... Sorry for bumping into you...again...

Chris: Sara! Oh it's fine... It was my fault too...
